The game is definitely slowing down for Nix. He's getting comfortable. His accuracy is back. And he just had one of the best rookie QB performances in NFL history. First QB to go over 300 yards, with 4 TDs and no INTs, while completing more than 80% of his passes. Insane performance. We're making the plays we should make, winning the games we should win and competing at a level few to none expected. It's been more than a decade since I was able to be excited pre-pass (instead of holding my breath) and Nix has finally taken it to that level. Rookie of the Year. Kid looked like a vet out there yesterday. Edit: Also wanted to mention that on that deep Vele pass across the middle: Nix yelled KILL KILL KILL and audibled into that play. I said before the snap that he saw something and something big was coming. That dart was beautiful.
Another excellent analysis, Tim. I am 77 years young and on SS so I can't afford to join your patreon group. But I do support you and your work and I really enjoy your videos.
I loved the game and now your great breakdown! My favorite moment was when the guys carried Williams into the endzone, haven't been so happy bout a Broncos TD in a long time.
He looks so much more comfortable than early in the season outside of that missed smash corner and the bailed out RPO scramble. But even on those plays I love to see the damage control and not giving up negative plays even after a mistake. And the fact the footwork has come so far in such a short time is incredibly promising. The title of his season should be “Growth”. Thanks for the vids Tim!
Thanks, Tim. Killer stuff!!!! Such a complete game, and room for improvement, but they are getting IT!! Watching Javonte's feet dangling for 5 yards was priceless! The POOKIE PUSH! 😂😂😂
All us broncos fans have been waiting for our guy for 9 years. We finally got him. Ever since the draft I wanted Bo I was praying we got him. I don’t know how he wasn’t picked earlier.
Man I new from the get go he was good, but what we saw here was something even better than what we saw at Oregon. This game against pro players no matter what string they are, was amazing. Thank you Tim for the breakdown as always!
Great analysis as usual Tim! Appreciate all your hard work. How fun to see Sean's "design dimes" ... so nice when coaching can give you separation. We need it in this division!
I've watched every breakdown so far, and watching his progress has been great. It's getting to be a night and day difference between week one Bo and now week 11.
Your breakdowns make me appreciate how complex the play designs are. Us basic fans think everybody just runs around in circles trying to bump into everyone until the ball comes to them.
Love it Tim! Fun watching all the good plays in a game that seemed near perfect to me, but I enjoy you pointing out the mistakes where they can better even more.
Seems like Sean Payton is really starting to open up this offense. I love that Bo is making plays and even though he's not perfect, he's not turning the ball over or taking a ton of sacks.
Quinn Meinerz had himself a hell of a game. A number of key blocks on the touchdown plays. Big man plays well in space. Also shout out to Mike burton man handling the D end on the screen to Franklin.
Great video! Love the breakdowns. Nix is playing some good ball. And you could see it growing since week 1... he has slowly got more confidence that he belongs and is definitely starting to play like it. Absolutely slinging it.
What is refreshing is that a 3rd and long isn’t a death knell. For several years now, and the first 4-5 games of this year, they couldn’t overcome a 3rd and long. (Or a holding call that made it 1st and 20). Now it feels different. Several times in this game they dug out of those holes. That is what is giving me hope. Nix settling into his roll is changing the game for them.
The thing about Bo Nix is not just that he was completing passes at an amazing rate (28-33, including at least one throw away), the passes he was completing were hitting his receivers in the hands in perfect stride, even in small windows and when he was throwing to a spot before his guy was open (that long completion over the middle to Vele was a perfect example). The YAC was big in this game and Nix's accuracy was a big reason why
Hey Tim love ryour break downs. Bo played so good it this game. It was a great team win. Everyone did their job and just got it done. Best complete this year. Bo easily could get rookie of tbe week again.
Among all the other cool things Bo Nix is doing, I think he might be the only QB in who knows how long to have thrown for a TD, Ran for a TD…AND Caught a TD in the same season!!!
What blew me away was the two screens for 6. Both times, first contact was at the goal line because everybody on that side got a shoulder into a defender. The design made it easy on Bo, the execution made it easy on the ballcarrier.
Tim and the Broncos are doing big things this season I’m loving the Broncos uniforms this season I’m loving Bo Nix!!! I feel the Broncos are closer to being a great team than most people will say
I knew that throw to Vele was a good one but my goodness the viewpoint at 11:00 is something else entirely. That was about as perfect of a pass as Nix could have made given how small that window was.
I’d love if someone did this exact same video style but for the defensive concepts, this Denver defense is awesome and I’d love to get an in depth breakdown on how they’re so damn good.
@21:08. I learned from the last chiefs game against us that a lineman can be further than 1 yard down field if the block is initiated behind the 1 yard line and continues past the 1 yard line without breaking the block. They had 3 Chiefs players 6 yards down field last week and that is why. So technically there was a foul here ,but since all the lineman except for #85 (who started the block 4 yards down) started their blocks within that 1 yard line and continually blocked on the way downfield
Bo is pure skill , he has little to no weapons . On the other hand you have caleb and Brock purdy landing on teams with great receivers . Broncos country , we have found our QB😊
watch the week 2 breakdown and then watch this one. the devolpment from Bo and this offense is wild. looks like a whole new offense and a whole new Quarterback. ive loved Bo since after the draft but my god has he gotten better. Also is it possible that his arm has gotten stronger throughout this year? looks like it to me. Have to be excited about Bo Nix.
He looks like a totally different QB. Early in the season that throw between all the defenders is either off the mark or picked. Now he looks comfortable and like he is completely aware of what’s happening.
Love the content Tim. On the RPO it's closer than it looks. If lineman engage the block within 1 yard of the LOS it's legal to drive them further then the 1 yard buffer zone. Most of the lineman do this on that play. Could maybe call Wattenberg blocking the ILB late but the ILB runs up to him while he's engaged in a block. Probably why the refs didn't call it. Krull could've gotten called if he didn't whiff but he doesn't actually engage with his guy until his guy is right at the 1 yard buffer because he missed. It's borderline. Probably could have been called. But it's close.
Its very refreshing to see the Broncos actually have a competent screen game nowadays after so many years of yelling at the screen and wondering why they are calling such bad screen plays at inopportune times
As a Bears fan watching this it's so obvious how big of a deficit Caleb is working with from an offensive scheme and protection standpoint. The pockets Nix has to throw from are so rare in a Bears game. The wide open receivers he's throwing to just don't happen in the Bears' scheme.
Caleb has all the help in the world around him besides his OL. Nix has no good WRs or RBs and is still making it work. Big difference. Nix is just better
@@thepeytondog there is a reason the Broncos had Nix and Daniels Ranked 1 and 2 on their draft board they were clearly the 2 best qb's in the draft. Especially from a pure football mindset from reading defenses to knowing schemes.
Not just Nix but the whole team executed at a level I haven’t seen in years. They keep this up, nobody will want to see them if they make the playoffs.
It would be interesting to see, if Bo continues to progress, a comparison between his play beginning of the year with his play mid season, end of year. I think we all feel like he has grown as a player but how much? A good analysis from Tim would be interesting to see.
Nice video 👍🏿. As a Falcons fan this game was disgusting to watch. Then to watch this, and see the lack of effort and fight especially from the D line and backers was worse. 🤦🏿♂️. Over a decade now of bottom tier pass rush. Smh.
It's funny seeing the social media comments "So??? He just beat up on a bad Falcons team..." Uh... Yeah? That is what decent teams are supposed to do to bad teams. It looks like he is taking big strides every week and is getting more and more acclimated to Payton's system. It was hard to believe after two games people were crowing "BUST!!!" and "Tebow 2.0". Nix looks like the real thing and possibly a steal at #12. He may also pass Jayden Daniels for ORoY, as Daniels seems to have plateaued for the moment. It's funny you made that "12" comment, because I immediately thought of Brady when I saw the film of the screen. Living in New England, I saw "12" rip apart defenses with those screens too many times to count. Sean Payton loves this kid and thinks a lot of analysts and scouts slept on Nix during pre-draft. He thinks they especially underestimated his arm strength. It will be interesting to see what year 3 will look like when the Broncos are out from under Wilson's cap hit and can really start adding to the roster. They are doing pretty damn good in spite of the constraints. 10 wins and a Wildcard berth isn't unrealistic right now.
one thing I noticed in this game more than any other, Bo was getting the ball in the hands of the playmakers AND those guys went and made plays. easy ball.
77 caused 3 TDs to be scored because of his blocking. He’s an absolute beast of a guard. Definitely worth the money!
Quinn is an animal, for sure!
Him, PS2 and cooper in the same year is quickly becoming a franchise defining draft class
Love Meinerz. What a find in the third round. He is always motoring until the whistle blows.
My fellow Quinn
Unapologetically my favorite player on the team, love his gusto and his drive every single play
Side note: Denver sIaying the uniform game in 2024🔥🔥
would have loved the snot rocket D on that helmet instead of the boring bronco.
Agreed
@@donnyrideswe get em twice a year hopefully soon we’ll get more than two games. I like us haveing both logos to play in

Peyton Manning and DT used to love those screens….DT used to take them to the house RIP DT 🙏🏽
Payton got his guy! So HAPPY that the QB carousel is DONE in Denver!!!
I loved the game and now your great breakdown! My favorite moment was when the guys carried Williams into the endzone, haven't been so happy bout a Broncos TD in a long time.

I'd say we been waiting longer because we knew Peyton was temporary. We've been looking for that guy since Elway.
That timing throw to Vele over the middle when he threaded a needle was simply outstanding!
Waited all night for this 💪🏾
Bo's footwork is so much improved from the beginning of the year. Thanks for the breakdown Tim.
Thanks for another great breakdown Tim. I like the way Bo is improving every week

Burton and Belly clearing the way for Franklin on the screen TD was a thing of beauty
So happy to see this! By Bo, in terms of play design, execution and the toughness of the defense. It's been a long wait. Thanks, Tim!

I love that Javonte was literally off both of his feet for the last 2-4 yards or so of that td run.
I've been looking forward to this since the game ended!
Love these vid cause understanding the plays and the team is my favorite part of my day and BoLieve
