    "Ladies, he's single" is really contradictory to the stern reminder at the top of the segment that we're not to marry dogs.

      Clearly theyre just supposed to be your side pieces and fun for a short while. Not marriage material.

      ^ I was thinking the same thing. He’s the dog you date for a while then break up with because you “just don’t see it going anywhere” then date us and get mad that we don’t live up to how awesome he was

      The warning was that "they're not our husbands" in the present tense. She never said they can't become husbands in the future.

    Look, I think that dog is taking a real absolutist take on gentrification if he thinks that sidewalks are the thing that needs to be defended against. More walkable cities is a good thing, and it's important to pick your battles when you fight the power. Given the totality of the socioeconomic complexities here, I think the dog trying to play in wet cement is actually dumb.

      Exactly. We need to educate dogs on effective protesting. That incident exemplifies the horrid effects of defunding the public dog training system.

    I dig how this show has so many different comedians. And I dig that so many of them are legit and successful, but not super famous. Good for up and coming comedians, good for the viewer.

    • @davidnyasha
      @davidnyasha 7 месяцев назад

      All well trained dogs are actually dumb because they lack common sense or critical thinking, they just do what they are told. They could literally starve to death while looking at food but because they aren't told to eat they won't. this also applies to humans 😂

    I love Taylor in this format. It’s like watching the smart, goofy girl in high school grow up to “force” famous people to make fart jokes.

    Every single dog will do that with a fence if they haven't been shown the way around it. It's exactly the picture of exactly what dogs abilities are in that instance. That is something that humans at a certain point in development can't do either, and dogs have the intelligence of about a three year old. Please don't expect an animal to have capabilities at a level that isn't where they get to in their development. That's what gets poor pooches into trouble, expecting them to succeed at something you've set them up to fail at.
    Now, you could easily train a dog to pick a direction to go everytime they come to a fence. Or train them to stop and sit. The no. 1 difference between dogs and wolves is that when trying to solve a problem, a dog is going to look to a human, and a wolf is not.

    • @bearswithglasses
      @bearswithglasses 7 месяцев назад

      It depends on whether you have *taught* your dog to yield at fences. If you have (and most of us have without knowing it), dogs will continue to yield to the fence even after they know they can get around the other side. It's about social rules, not necessarily intelligence, and because dogs use us as tools, it becomes our responsibility as the tool to 'fix' the situation and retrieve the object. Once you train that autonomy, your chance of having a pup that will problem solve around the fence goes up. It's most often about the human, not the dog. My dog problem solves around all kinds of objects because she was taught problem solving skills as a puppy (and *not* to yield to fences- she's a service dog, so this was a crucial part of her training). It really depends on the upbringing.
      If a human was raised by giraffes without appropriate human in put except for 5 minute sniffs on the street, it would be difficult to do 'normal' human things because there was no guideline about what that should look like. Dogs learn about fences and how to go around them from older dogs... but there aren't any. So if you don't teach your dog, or your child, that they can go around, and instead only teach them to stop when they see the fence, they will. This happens in human cults all of the time. It takes years (usually decades) to deprogram humans... it takes dogs considerably less time (usually months to a year). Maybe that makes them smarter!
