Tell you something - we dears have learned to judge a reactor's level of expertise by how they react to Dimash - recognizing the "opening" on the last word of SOS, hearing the modulation...basically, the more knowledgeable the reactor - the more blown away they are by Opera 2 LOL...Think I mentioned Dimash calls his fans his "dears" and you see, the Dears are here - welcome to the family! Speaking of family, the guy doing the fist-pump at the end is his father. Dimash didn't know he was there. After the performance they had a big hug and, going back to the contestant room Dimash asked his dad, "Was it good?" two different times - his dad of course said "Yes!" and "Awesome" - it was uber-cute, Dimash really wasn't sure.

❤️❤️❤️ Yep. You got it...a Dimash Fever! A Russian singer, Vitas, popularized this song but he only modulated up once. As you saw, Dimash modulated up 3 times! The gentleman that does the fist pump at the end of Dimash’s performance is his dad.
Next up is The Show Must Go On and I’m copying the link for you. In that performance you will be able to distinguish a minimum of four different vocal “characters”.

Love your reactions to Dimash. He's been training in music school since he was 5 yrs. old. Both his parents are professional singers. His mother sings opera.He plays several instruments. He writes and composes music. He was pushed to join opera house in his country Kazakhstan. But he said no. He wants more freedom in music than just opera. He wants to blend a variety of music genres with opera for people around the world. He's redefining modern music.

Please, you can listen to EVERY song singing by Dimash and you will enjoy it because Dimash is great in everything: in his singing in duets, a-capella, in playing the several instruments including drums (!), even in dansing and his talks, interviews. I would recommend you to listen to every song in this competion, then his audience in Bastau-concert, later his performance in Gakky-festival, then his conserts in China and you can compare his singing. Every time he sings in different way the same song.He is a true, awesome, fantastic singer with 6 (!) octaves(!) Besides, he is a very humble, nice person, very smart with a great sense of humor. He is a Kazakh speaking person, his Kazakh is like his singing; just incredible - he is a composer and poet too.

Another super reaction. What a great morning to see this, I will have a beautiful day now. I love Dimash so much because he does not sing to sound exactly like the original song, otherwise you can just listen to the original. Instead he always add his 'Dimash Magic' to it which is what makes it so special to my heart. Outside of his vocal gift that he shares with us, he is such a humble young man and has such a good soul which makes the attraction that much greater. The man pumping his fist in the audience is his father, who flew in for this. He had not told Dimash so as not to fluster him. If you find a longer clip, you will see Dimash thanking the audience and the musicians and then freezing for a second as he recognizes his dad. When he walks off the stage, he hugs his father and happily bounces him up and down off the floor! Later as they walk backstage you can hear him telling his father how much he’s missed home and wants to go home. And he replies, no, you must stay and finish this competition.

You're right, its only gonna get better when you watch every of his performances and you will blown away every single time. Why don't you watch his performances in sequence order now that you've done ep.1 and ep.2? Lets go to ep.3 and it will be another level of performance. I swear he will exceed your expectations in every episode. 😌

Vitas was the original singer of "Opera 2", and modulated once. Dimash effortlessly took it higher modulating an amazing three times.
Currently his range (so far from a multitude of his live international performances) is six octaves from F2 to a sustained D8. It's also not unusual for him to hold a controlled belt power not for 14-19 seconds long -- he has absolutely amazing breath control.
He also isn't restricted to just one vocal style or genre (as you'll soon discover watching more and more of his performances).

Ann Gelli I had that problem of thinking I would never like another singer again. But that fear ended when I heard Hua Chenyu on the Chinese Singer show 2018. His artistry, creativity, and vocal power blew me away. Dimash is the vocal king but their are still artists that are mode creative, and innovative. So no reason to be sad. Their will always be new incredible talents to enjoy.
Oh im not sad at all Jean Dullin!! Im aware there still great singers out there and Hua Chenyu is superb singer, no doubt about that but there is that uniqueness that Dimash possess that i fell in love with beside his vocal range and power which calm anyone's soul plus he can sing in different languages and play multiple instruments and have very strong charisma ...uhmm should i say more??
