Hi Nik. I agree Creative Glen......your welcome back is fun. Love the needlebook. I'm going to use your wonderfully witty Needless book. Let's see if they get it.
I made a separate needle book for my yarn needles and keep it with my crochet hooks as I rarely need both sewing needles and yarn needles at the same time. 💕🌞🌵😷
I've been watching quite a few of your videos recently, along with other youtubers that deal with book binding. I really enjoy your style and the fun way you approach your videos. Thank you for being both informative and entertaining.
Thanks Nik...your video has reminded me of the needlebook I made at school when I was 8 years old! I can still remember the ‘pages’ made of soft woollen fabric. It seemed like an odd, old fashioned thing for a child to make in the 1960s! But here you are showing almost the exact thing all over again!
Since I was a wee young thing, I have loved little books. I have needlebooks that include the buttons and threads and also included small scissors thru a hole left in the top of my book. Each one was so cute, I felt a need to attach adoption papers...not really but they were really that individually made that I had to really like the recipient. Now, you have opened another world for me so subscribe it is. Your personality is a drawing card also. Thanks, Bette in Tennessee.
I totally agree with you, I like to find and be able to access needles quickly with no struggles. Love this idea, will make some for gifts. Thank you so much for sharing!
Victorian times... they sold pins and needles in little tiny paper envelopes... not the best way to keep them. One of the first projects a child being taught to sew, was a needle book... They would practice learning stitches on the needle book and keep their precious needles and pins in the book. Was a lovely way to teach a child and has been lost .
Glad to know I"m not the only one that thinks "needless" when face with the word needles. This somehow reminds me of a dear friend, who has passed on, whose files I inherited. As I was going through them, I noticed one folder labeled "Useful Information," as if anyone would bother to file useless information. Still cracks me up. I miss her. Thanks for the memory, however unintended. I think I"ll make one of these and label it Needless, just because I can. ~ Lisa
I love this...I had an old “tomato” pin cushion that had about 30 needles struck down in it where you couldn’t see them. I just sat down one day and kept feeling around till I found them all. This is a much better idea! The needles don’t get lost in the pin cushion!
Tammie Freeman I did the same except it was so tatty that I cut it open. I was shocked at how many needles were inside. Now if we could only find out where all those missing socks are hiding.🧦
The vet x-rayed my ex husband's dog for an unrelated issue, and found a perfect image of a sewing needle, eye and all inside the dog. No idea how long it had been in there. But he must have just set the needle down on a table or something stupid, and the dog ate it and we never knew. It just travelled around inside the dog. Nothing we could really do. So, better in a pin cushion.
A needless needles book! I love it. Gonna make a few of these for the places I keep needles. Much better than just sticking them in the back of my project bags. Love the clip idea to hold it together! Good job! You rock! 📍🧷❤️
@Marilyn Guido - I also suspect that wool felt will be easier to work with. I am an experienced seamstress. I just made up a practice run of this needle book using synthetic craft felt. My results are less than lovely. Even with pins, the felt moved around so much, I could not stitch a straight line. I will try again soon, using wool felt. Int he meantime, I am also making some other needle books from quilter's cottons as gifts. I feel way more in control with those! Oh - perhaps I could just add a bit of wool felt inside the cotton books to hold the needles! That may prove to be the best of both worlds for me.
Great little Needle package for a stocking gift or craft sale , just saying ! After you’re made 1 for everyone in your family 😃 of course , really useful Nik. Thanks and your video was Very well done with your different views of showing us your example ❤️
Hello Nik , I like everything you do and how you do it. I’m a watercolor artist and make art journals. I have a ‘paper obsession’ ,and have subbed to your channel. Now I’ll binge watch.👁
Nik this is so great and I really really love 💖 it. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all, and thank you so much for the fun and laugher. xxx Mags
Absolutely love this. I can confidently make this. I love your projects, but most of them are way over my head...this one...yep...this one is for me. Love it, thank you. 👍💕👍
Hey Nick. This is so cute and easy. I watch your videos here and there when I get a chance, and I love all that I have watched! I live in Denver and hope to meet or take a class from you one day.😉
Awesome!! Thanks for showing this 😃 My mom had the tomato’s!! A set of three. Back in the day when we didn’t use seat belts or car seats. Always enjoy watching your videos. You are so funny and you improve my vocabulary! ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you Nik! I was hoping you’d post this video when I saw your needle book in the last video. So cute and way more practical than that dumb tomato! TFS!
Does just what it says on the tin! Needless indeed lol! As others have said, it's cute and simple and I love the colors you have chosen. Gonna give this a go myself. TFS :)
"Embarrassingly simple" works for me!! My needles are currently in a folded up, ancient, ugly (but clean) hanky... so I NEED one of these whether it be 'needles' or 'needless'!!
Your video is on point! I just sew myself a couple of pin cushion last week and the needle book was next on the list ;) I meant to sew a couple of felt pages to it but I like your extra place s on the cover as well, I think I'll do a mix of both our ideas :)
I love that you use fun words like misnomer. I can't remember the last time i heard that word! Lol. Kids today just don't get into words like when we were kids.
From what I understand, real wool felt is best, as it's supposed to keep the needles sharp! Not sure on the plastic felt.... Always a fun time with you! 💜
teresa wool is best because there’s always a bit of lanolin left no matter how much it’s washed. I don’t know about keeping them sharp, but it definitely keeps them from rusting especially if you live in a humid area.
Oh I love this. Will be making these for quick gifts for friends (with needles). Hey Nik, it is proper to call these etuis? I simply love the word and want to use it to describe them. These are easy and to the point. Get it...….yeah Sharon....I get it. Love ya Missy Nik.
You always make me smile when watching your videos and for that I wanted to thank you. What places can you buy the art glitter (without glitter, LOL) glue? Thanks again for giving me joy, I need a lot these days. Take care and God bless. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
Maymaymadeit.com is where I get mine. The one time I got it from Amazon but it was too thick...almost set. Think it got affected by the weather. I don’t think MayMay mails during the winter months. I also think I saw it at Michaels.
@@gerryschipper9778 thanks for the info, I'll check out Michael's for it the next time I get to go shopping. I don't like ordering online if I can help it. Thanks again. Take care and God bless. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas
I always hit the like immediately when I hear "Welcome Back, WELCOME BACK".
You are a joy and a blessing to watch and learn from. Thank you!
Cute and simple.

I never thought to make my own needle book. Hurray! Another craft project!

My sister is a sewer I can't wait to make her one or two of these they are awesome. Cheers for the demo : )

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips. Perfect simple but functional
Loving the side view camera shots. And you, of course.
So cute!! Can’t wait to make this, no more poking my fingers digging thru my sewing stuff. Thanks Nik!!
Utterly charming and very desirable! Nice subtle choices of colours too.
vidiographys lookin good Nik, this is a far better idea than my piece of paper in a plastic baggy 🦋 cheers Donna

Like this, Nik ! Quick, an easy and straight-forward make. Thanks for sharing.
Loved this cute little needle book and the different camera angles! Thanks for sharing it with us, Nik. 😊 ✂️📍🧷👊😃

Good job! You rock! 📍🧷❤️
if you use real felted sheep wool, the lanolin in the wool helps keep your needles from rusting......

Love these to stick inside cards for a little B-Day thought etc...
This is so useful and cute!! Thanks Nik!
These would make great gifts for your sewing friends! Thanks for the share.
Another fabulous make! Thanks for sharing your talent & wonderful sense of humor, you never disappoint Nik! Hugs till next time. ;-)

Thanks for the great idea, Nik
I really like the needle book. Will be making myself one. TFS.
Lovin the different camera angles, looks like someone is having fun with them
Love this idea. TFS!
like the simplicity of this so much! lol, I think a Needless book in journals is a great idea! A prompt to simplify.
Simply awesome! Thank you for sharing! :)
A great place to keep extra stainless steel pins for when you lose the one from your Art Glitter glue. 😂
Magnets to close this, or a sheet of magnetic stuff between the cover and felt, or even on the side of your glue bottle to hold it.
OMG these are to cute!! I`m in love.
Love it!! Sometimes simple is perfect!! 💜
Awesome!! Thanks for showing this 😃
My mom had the tomato’s!! A set of three. Back in the day when we didn’t use seat belts or car seats.
Always enjoy watching your videos. You are so funny and you improve my vocabulary! ❤️🙏🏻
I have a little green ball surrounded by what seems like little people holding hands.
And ran through the house with a sucker in our mouth.
Thank you Nik! I was hoping you’d post this video when I saw your needle book in the last video. So cute and way more practical than that dumb tomato! TFS!
So cute. Another on my to do list & so quick to make. Now to find the felt that is lost somewhere in my stash 🤣! Thanks for sharing.
Does just what it says on the tin! Needless indeed lol! As others have said, it's cute and simple and I love the colors you have chosen. Gonna give this a go myself. TFS :)
too dang adorable!

Simple is good. Practical. ❤😊
Love this 💕 Thanks, Nik!
Simple...but cute and useful!!

Thank you for sharing. I made one already. It was superdupereasy. 😉😂😘
Great job Nik. Very you. I will try one without the sewing. 🧷🧵
Love it 😍
Love it! Cool idea and this does make a beautiful little present. Thank you :-D
Love it tfs xx
Cute! Thank you. 😁💜👍🏻
Love the needless book. I'll have to make one for myself. Can never find the needles when I need one. Tfs
I really like this! Great tutorial. Tfs........hugs

Love it
Yay!!! I've been waiting
I'm sorry, that was rude.. Thank you for sharing! I'm making mine right this very second.
As a seamstress I think this is great. A nice lil needless tool 😉
That’s so cute
Love it.
Thank you!!!!!!!
How thoughtful and clever👍🏻💖
Was wondering how would you make a simple finishing press for your personal use?
this is great.
Love your videos. Fun chatter like we’re just hangin’ out.
I liked just for the title. "For Sharp Pokey Things"
Pretty & usefull. :) tyfs
How did you stamp the word needles ? and where do you get your felt from? Very nice different take on a needle book!
Using an alphabet stamp set.
Hmmm, I wonder if a magnet closure would work, or if all the needles would just jump over to the magnet party?
Ooooh, LOVE this! I usually use a scrap of fabric and then accidentally stab myself. This is a MUCH better solution! ;-)
You crack me up!!! Needless. 😂😅🤣😂
Excellent small project for days when you don’t want to work on the project that has a deadline!! 😜
Thanks for the chuckles (as usual) ... oh, and I love how simple this is to make❣
{{{Huge Hugs}}} 🙃🦔
You could make button and loop for the closer
Poly fibers can wreak havoc on needle sharpness that won’t happen with natural fibers such as wool.
You always make me smile when watching your videos and for that I wanted to thank you. What places can you buy the art glitter (without glitter, LOL) glue? Thanks again for giving me joy, I need a lot these days. Take care and God bless.
