I refuse to believe that it is more sensible to scrape the crud off the bottom of the barrel of the prem for a CB deemed not good enough for Bournemouth or the bench of Newcastle than it is to simply bring Rugani or Muharemovic back from loan. If I'm being told that we need to sell core players because we need funds urgently, but are then prepared to waste close to 20m in cash on a bum from the benches of England, my BS detector starts going off.
