@@shel1102my 10" is alright if actually get one more just can't turn it over 70% without the flex part hitting the back of my cab between the seats to big to slide under a 97' f-350
Hi @MrDashocker73, there was a 1% failure rate for the 49PTRTP due to overheating - it was very rare, and only under extreme (and not your normal use case) circumstances. Obviously, that's still too much to be acceptable, so we recalled and just re-released. If you haven't had any issues with your PTRTP, you're A-OK! The "fix" on the re-released ones was to dial back the power on the amp just a little, and add about 1 inch to the height.
The best thing to do is reach out to the regional distributor: www.kicker.com/international-distributor. They should be able to tell you the time frame for arrival.
Just ordered the same 12” for my single cab truck , I can only fix behind the seat in a standing position , since this a down firing will this cause any sound problem ?
It will sound a little different since the back of the cab is less insulated, but there is no technical issue with doing it that way. For the best results you may want to consider adding some sound deadening to the back of the cab. This is not mandatory, but it will give you better bass.
@@KICKER-AUDIO thank you , yes I order lots of 80 kilmate deadener for the 2 doors and for the back of the cab and planning to install all professionally , the reason I asked is everyone is saying the sound will not be good since the woofer is not facing the ground - now the woofer will be facing me with the ( kicker logo facing up ) and the back of it will install the deadner
We know it sounds weird, but no. The sub will perform better if it faces the back of the wall. Try it out in both directions! You'll have fun with the experiment.
@@KICKER-AUDIO 😂 looks like it will be completely different sound , am sure you are the expert. In that case I have a big plastic like cover covering the metal part of the rear of cap , I will cut it and place the face of woofer to the truck metal part after fixing the kilmate sheets , thanks for quick response and support
should make a vidio on tuneing this bad boy since it is a little differant than most amp/subs. I just got mine but have'nt had the chance to install it yet but cant wait to here it Bumb
$500 wasted on a 12 inch that now instantly blows both 25A fuses with gain set at 1/4. Kicker knows about the issue with the subsonic filter at low volumes and still did not fix it. I would not recommend this brand, stay away!
Got the 12’s for my jeep. It is badass!
Just ordered this today cant wait
How did you go mate? Sound ok?
How it sounds?
Sooooo.. I’m guessing it sucked since you haven’t updated anyone?

Need to bring back the 8 inch cube and put a clipping indicator on anything with a built in amp.
U have the job i dream of having.
Kicker needs to send me one
Any estimations on when we should be able to purchase this once more?
If/when we re-release it, we will announce it on social media and on UnMasked.
Can't wait
I purchased the 12 inch powered sub last year. Is there an active recall on the product?

I just bought this in the 10”. It’s going in the back of my old yota. It won’t be down firing. More like…side firing 😂😂
That works too. Bass is louder as its loads off a solid object.
