I really love it if pianos stand somewhere to be played by random passers-by. It's probably less popular here in Germany, but I once played at a grand piano in the center of the Frankfurt Airport, I was only 11 years old (piano lessons since 6, played "comptine d'un autre été" by yann tiersen, my faviourit song at the time, which I am still able to play with closed eyes) but I will really never forget that feeling of playing in the middle of all those people walking by or STANDING THERE TO WATCH ME (I was so excited). At the time, I was really thinking about giving the piano up, but that event honestly persuaded me to keep going. Nowadays, I am really grateful to that old lady who walked to me when I was shyly heading back to my parents, because she told me that she got goosebumps due to my beautiful playing. She probably only said that to make a little girl happy, but that showed to me why making music is so valuable. Probably because of that incident, I'm still practicing today, I'm practicing every day to get better and play even more beautifully.
i know how you feel, i started piano when I was 6 and played till just about 14. I quit after that because all I practiced were songs that I didn't enjoy, but after watching videos from people like Animenz, I've decided to pick it back up and just play what I want to, hopefully I'll be able to perform somewhere one day, it's my dream
Cool! Im 10yr rn and ive been playin since 4, it was hard at first but it began to be easier! then i found a piano on the streets when i was 7 so i wanted to try Fur Elise, it went amazing! over 20+ people was watching me! it was so embarrasing but i was happy and joyful!

Agreed with above comment, as she’s a respectable pianist she even winces a couple times 😂 but she probably loves seeing that passion of someone in public focused on the music and not those surrounding

Such amazing talent out there that the world doesn't even know about until they're able to play in public like this. Whoever started this trend of having public pianos is a genius🙂
Street music is a unique part of each country. Recently, I had to do research about street music in Yerevan, and it was fascinating to discover how diverse street musicians are in our city. They play music of different genres and use various musical instruments, including guitar, electric guitar, qanon, kamancha, saxophone, etc. Even the people who are without musical education were playing music professionally. The different melodies of the music filled the city with certain emotions, starting from love and ending with the desire to protect national identity. During the project, each musician shared their unique experience connected with street music and people’s reactions to it, and most of them were positive. I came to the conclusion that street music is one of the most fundamental factors that create the atmosphere and the general portrait of the city.
Nateishia M Sorry to say but that doesn't look like coffee. It looks like an ade or an iced tea because the cup is clear plastic and the straw is the wider type, instead of the half clipped one you would normally get from a coffee shop. Yes, I'm sherlock(was a joke).

Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us to enjoy. Keep playing and entertaining everyone as you are all very gifted!
Woah! There was no mistaking that last pianist. Number one. I love her playing! That was Valentina!! I'd know her playing and her caressing the keys anywhere!
Although if you watch "When professional pianists plays on the street Part 1" at 2:10 Valentina is playing in the same clothes at the same piano (so basically before or after the events in this video), meaning that she got her time to play. To me it seems that she was inpatient and wanted to play instead of the guy. But maybe they are related (son? padawan?), so who knows.

Had to rewatch her several time. Also that musical piece in itself is magic and it was the 1st time hearing it which made the impact even bigger. Thanks for sharing this!
Only Valentina can play like that. If you like that, check this out -- Beethoven, Sonata #5 in C minor, Opus 10 #1, third movement. ruclips.net/video/bJPcjoHWoZg/видео.html.
Oh my God, I can't believe it's Lang Lang. I would've flipped my wig if I seen him playing on a street piano. That White guy playing the ragtime (?) was amazing too, he was jamming!
Look, it's going to cost a lot for the piano more than money. Every time you move a piano, it's going to change the tuning and action. Also the difference in climate would cause the wood, hammer, strings etc to change as well (especially if you remove the front cover like the first piano) idk man, I think it's more about the piano than money.
Professionally moving a grand piano locally (maybe up to 50? miles) is about $300 . If you movie it twice, there and back, about $500. Upright pianos are easier to move and may cost less. I just had one moved so I know.
These people have magic in their fingers. ❤️ O. M. G. 9:47 is freakin amazing! Quick someone agree with me that this is not how that piece is written...or maybe I’m just a doddering old fool.
There are some technical moves that are more difficult to pull off than others, and also like Massimo Teresi mentionned above, being on beat at all times is essential. Improvisation is also a very hard skill to develop, much harder in my opinion than learning a piece and playing it faster and faster and sometimes off beat.
arnold kwon I think he meant that the intense studies they undergo result in immense pressure and stress resulting in a higher suicide rate than other places?
I got his point already, but many Koreans being pianist have nothing to do with studying and playing piano. His comment has no relation with this video and comment
@@KeysOfMysterium I mean, I know that Yuja Wang is not who arranged it, but I find her interpretation very interesting. (Sorry of my English is not correct)

Only Valentina can play like that. If you like that, check this out -- Beethoven, Sonata #5 in C minor, Opus 10 #1, third movement. ruclips.net/video/bJPcjoHWoZg/видео.html.
The last one was so good I can't believe it. Her control and flawlessness at high speed was terrific.
That's because it's Valentina Lisitsa, she's a very well known and well respected professional pianist
Such graceful piano fingers 🥹
Oh my God, I can't believe it's Lang Lang. I would've flipped my wig if I seen him playing on a street piano. That White guy playing the ragtime (?) was amazing too, he was jamming!

No.2 is Steve Villa Massone one of the best street piano players playing his own composed music
#5 brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful. Too bad it was cut short. I would have liked to have listened to the entire piece.
It's Lang Lang
How much cost does it take to bring a piano to the street and back?
Look, it's going to cost a lot for the piano more than money. Every time you move a piano, it's going to change the tuning and action. Also the difference in climate would cause the wood, hammer, strings etc to change as well (especially if you remove the front cover like the first piano) idk man, I think it's more about the piano than money.
Kaneko Daisuke the piano shown in video 10 is always there. Its for public use. I live near the place so i would know
Professionally moving a grand piano locally (maybe up to 50? miles) is about $300 . If you movie it twice, there and back, about $500. Upright pianos are easier to move and may cost less. I just had one moved so I know.
Number 3 reminded me of that Tom and Jerry episode!!! Anyone??

O. M. G. 9:47 is freakin amazing! Quick someone agree with me that this is not how that piece is written...or maybe I’m just a doddering old fool.
Number four was my fave, She jazzed the piece up perfectly!!!
#2 is the one for me. He goes so hard. It hits me right in the feels.
No 4 is amazing!!!
Fazil Say's - Mozart Turkish March
The talent in this video is majestic
You know how fast they play doesn’t determine how good a pianist is at playing the piano right ?
If they are on beat perfectly then yeah it kinda does, but other than that, no
Then how do you evaluate a pianist's talent? This is an honest question
There are some technical moves that are more difficult to pull off than others, and also like Massimo Teresi mentionned above, being on beat at all times is essential.
Improvisation is also a very hard skill to develop, much harder in my opinion than learning a piece and playing it faster and faster and sometimes off beat.
The piano was invented in 1700 but I haven’t got around to playing it yet
I remember hearing #3 on a Tom & Jerry episode. Half way through the song/piece I remembered where I heard it from. Good job!
Kyra Urschel yes it was played in Tom n Jerry when Tom was playing piano and Jerry was inside the piano!!!
Fantastic. Beauriful music . Well done !
Love No. 4 so much. Who knows where can I find this version? Please send me a link, please. That's so lovely!!!

N no6...watched by valentina lisitsa...i would bee very nervous if someone like her watched me like dat
you mean ling ling?
2/3 of the Asians of the clips are from South Korea.
Andrew Li goes to show how much students have to study and practice and also why south korea has the highest student sucides....
DrMeowww GT why is playing piano related to suicide lol doesnt really make sense
arnold kwon I think he meant that the intense studies they undergo result in immense pressure and stress resulting in a higher suicide rate than other places?
I got his point already, but many Koreans being pianist have nothing to do with studying and playing piano. His comment has no relation with this video and comment
very simple! because 60% of the world populations are asians! we have indians, chinese, japanese and more
These guys are all gamers.
Just look at that combo.

87raiden ikr I love number 10

9:43, for everyone interested, go and listen to Yuja Wang's version, I'm sure you'll love. Although is far more complicated
its not hers. Its the volodos version. but Yuja is still insane.
@@KeysOfMysterium I mean, I know that Yuja Wang is not who arranged it, but I find her interpretation very interesting.
(Sorry of my English is not correct)
The number 5 is Lang Lang, the best pianist in the world. 🙌🏻 look for it on RUclips.
thank you so mutch wa sjust hope ill find him somehow from here ;)
You must not have heard of Yuja Wang
Please, don't say that he's the best, I mean, of course he's amazing, but it's your opinion, and I personally think that we shouldn't say "the best pianist", "the most handsome", etc, because it's relative (I'm not english, so I'm sorry if I wrote it wrong).
lamont sible jr, I also love Yuja Wang's playing! She is, with Evgeny Kissin, my favourite pianist. By the way, did you know that Yuja Wang's favourite pianist is also Mr. Kissin?
