All good information. Thank you! I was feeding my previous beagle science diet from the vet until my dog trainer friend yelled at me. She gave me a list of recommended brands and I chose solid gold which did wonders for my boy. He was chunky already at year and a half and he dropped the weight. He was healthy his entire life.
I use Nutro Natural Choice Puppy Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe, my Charlie really loves it

Great video! I just found out my dog is 50% Beagle :). So watching this was fun and we also have been feeding her orijen food. Before we were feeding her other stuff-cheap food with no reasearch- and her nose was dry and she was throwing up daily so we were worrying! We tried this food and her nose is wet and she’s been so healthy for over three years !! I highly recommend Orijen food too.

@@puneetsharma446 there is nothing wrong with a dog that enjoys his meals. I would recommend feeding the dog three times a day and not free feeding unless your vet recommended that. Free feeding tends to have a dog lose interest in their food OR become overweight because you loose track of how much they are really eating everyday.
Talk to you vet if you think they are really hungry every meal and maybe they should have a little bit more each meal. But that depends on a lot of things like weight and more so i would ask you vet because its a puppy transition I’m not sure whats to do there.

Feed Henry ziwi. Loved Orijen Only switched because spoiled lab brother ridiculously picky. Going broke but who cares. As long as Henry happy I’m good. Also for some more fiber put addiction kangaroo on top for dinner. Mix it in hot water Loves it.

My beagle pup loves blue Buffalo puppy kibble. He's at the perfect weight and I add an occasional egg 2-3 times a week. No table scraps, but he also scarfs up rice, chicken, and sweet potatoes. I'll stick to blue adult kibble when he's old enough.

@@miajean7777 yes, I recommend my beagle does not like pebbles. So I give him wet ground beef with vegetables. I make a bowl that last for a week, so each day I give him a certain amount.

We mix it up. Kibble and small amount sardines for breakfast. A raw chicken neck and a different dried biscuit for dinner. Plus a meaty veal bone to slow his dinner down and clean his teeth. The veal bones have a crystalline structure that doesn't splinter but crumbles.
We've always given our dogs lots of variety, both raw and high quality processed.

That chart thing is so true! My beagle is three months and the recommended food for his weight and age says 3 quarters cup a day. He is so active and energetic his metabolism burns it off so fast so I modified it and he eats enough for a 5 month old beagle puppy (1 cup and a quarter)

@@puneetsharma446 I got mine when she was 3 months old and I fed her 4 times a day (2 cups in a day) and a carrot for snacks.. Beagles can eat all day if you allow them to. They grow very fast..
@@puneetsharma446 I know you commented 10 months ago but for others. I've learned to not free feed beagles because with breeding they just don't know when they're full and will eat until they're doggy beach balls 😅

Hey Beagle Care! My Beagle is 2 months old, and we were told that till she is slightly older, she should be fed manufactured food. So we are feeding her, sometimes Royal Canine, sometimes N&D (since the person who we adopted her from gave us Royal Canine, and the vet told us to feed N&D. However, when we went to a different vet, he said both are fine). But Mini (my Beagle) doesn't like just dog food and won't eat the dry pellets. So we grind it and mix it with curd and some different food items, Like curd with egg, curd with bananas and curd with mangos. I add water in it too most of the times because Mini just DOES NOT drink water! I sometimes have to force her, and she still doesn't! I feed her about 2 spoons per meal. I'm just wondering if all of this is alright for a young baby like Mini.

Hi I have a 50 days beagle and she's very adorable and energetic. But since the past two days, I've noticed that her fur have thinned a lot. She's having light red patches( her skin) all over her limbs. And the vet said that we've been petting and handling her a bit too much and that the salt from our hands is the reason for her fur thinning. But the net says that she's having an allergic reaction to something. I just want opinions. I'm not really sure about anything since she's my first dog.

Beagle Care if you see this comment, I have a question for you: I adopted my beagle from the Humane Society in my city back in 2019 when he was 2 years old (give or take 2 years old). I was informed that before they got him he was used as a research dog :( which I still cringe at but anyway, for some reason he will NOT eat his food when men e.g., my father or brother, or men in general are in the kitchen even though I keep telling him
“It’s okay, they’re not going to hurt you or take your food.” Sometimes he won’t eat if my mom is in the kitchen either. Any advice on how I can help him with this? When I first got him I used to have to sit right next by his bowl and let him know that he was okay.

You may want to bring your vet in. Beagles are carnivores mainly. They can deal with some veggies, but they need the nutrients that meat brings.
