I like the black canvas the best. I love using metallics on black, it's just a personal preference of mine. I like that you did these side-by-side to show how very different the outcome can be while using the same materials.

It was so nice to watch you do mixed media canvases. Both canvases are great, but my favorite is the Hope one. This rather surprises me since I do not usually go for dark things. I think it is your use of waxes that make me love it so.

Dear Marta, these are amazing!!! For the longest time I liked the black better - especially as you started to use the wax!!! Then you kept building the white too and it ended up gorgeous. I thought the lace was lost on the white - til you brought out the texture - gorgeous!!! I would like to have seen what hope looked like vertically - but all are wonderful!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

It's so good to see the end result. It makes me look at the texture of something more than the colour. That zigzag paper I wouldn't have chosen but the texture is so completely different. Two stunning pieces. I love this challenge, it gives people a chance to use up old stash
Love them both, but the black one is my favourite. I was sorting threads to make lucet braiding to edge a quilt I am making for a friend, & your leap of faith inspired me to add a very different colour to the collection to create something unusual. Thanks.

Absolutely loved how they both turned out, Marta 💜 amazing how you can create such gorgeous projects out of absolute randomness. I still have yet to fully understand how to put all those elements together myself when I am doing my own projects! I loved the textures of both so much, but definitely Hope is my favourite too! And I was happy to see you use purple for a change 😉 I know the feeling of getting stuck in same colour schemes.. I unintentionally have at least 3 different colouring mediums all in the same 4 or 5 similar colours! It's inevitable 🤣 Love and hugs to you 💜

P.S. I think properties separate. waxes and oils don't typically mold unless something organic is introduced. I have stirred the darker ones up and work them into one and they were okay.

I'm curious as to why you used gel medium to fix the large elements on rather than hot glue?
Hot glue dries hard and elements could fall off. Safer with gel medium if heavy elements
