Aww...her little tail wag is the cutest ever, I bet they all fell in love with her at the groomers❤ She looks like a pretty princess with her pink ribbons, so well groomed. Just watching herself on tv was adorable to watch, she really did get excited. What a perfect way to end the day, cuddles with daddy❤💕

During our hardest time in april...we were sad during the pandemic...mikki really changed us..made us happy...gave us hope again...dogs sure can make anyone feel better...we love Mikki so much!! Thank you for coming by!

I was one of those mommies that Dressed up her baby girl. She even had a Tinker Bell Halloween Costume. And a Minnie Mouse Raincoat, with hood. I had a pink leather purse to carry her. And a car seat. I spoiled her with love. She was the Sweatiest pet I ever had. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in February, after 15 years.
Aww2w that sounds sweet...we do have some clothes for her to try one In the future..when weather gets coolers....so sorry to hear about your pup...15 great years tho!! I'm sure your dog lives a happy life!!!
Shih Zues are the best. What a sweet puppy you have. Hubby and I have a gal who just turned two. She is black and white. She is our best friend and lap dog. Congratulations for owning one of these sweet, loveable dogs.
Shih tzus are definitely the best!! Family best friends!! We dont know what we would do without her!! She gave us so much joy during the pandemic..we love her so much

I have a 13 year old she’s spoiled rotten. I was thinking about getting her a little sister, but not sure if she’d want to be bothered she’s so chill and a puppy may get on her nerve😅
What I love about Shih Tzu is its flat cute face, short nose, the hair covers the eyes (All the time before grooming). She's such a beautiful sweet girl!! 😍😍😍 Love the ribbon!! Such beautiful lovely eyes Mikki has! Having a Shih Tzu before, their hair in front is gonna grow in no time haha! They're just so so SO CUTE!!
So it's been 3 weeks now since groom..man her hair grows so fast!!! Constantly brushing her to keep it smooth. Now I only wish my hair on my head grew as fast as Mikki haha....thank you so much for coming guys!!

My parents have always had shitzu's. I love the puppy cut style the groomers use on them. So cute and fluffy.

@@MikkiShihTzu I was a groomer for 18yrs. Good thing because I had a Shih Tzu. They literally need grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. The hair grows back unbelievably fast. You don't even want it to get long and matted. If it does you will have to go short, and start all over.
Important if you bath her yourself you need to dry her . You don't want her to just run around wet. Also the hair growing in front of eyes need to be kept clean and short to avoid gunk that this breed gets alot of.

Hi dad! I’m getting a shih tzu soon but so nervous about crate training. We had a shih tzu previously but never put her in a crate. Any tips?
Hi there. The idea is to make your pup love the crate.. feed her....breakfast lunch and dinner in the crate..throw treats in the crate....get your pup during the evening tired as possible..get her to exercise . She going to want to sleep....place the pup in the crate to sleep...when she whines or cry...ignore. ignore...do not open...reward her by opening the crate door when she quiet.
I'm just curious why you don't cut the hair away from your dog's eyes by yourself. I have to do my dogs every week or so in between grooming appointments.
Hi Jeremy we were trying to train her to get used to the groomer doing it in the long run...mikki loves to move around and wont stand still...I am little worried of a accident waiting to happened..we recently trimmed a little tho

Hi there Lauren! Technically its a simple puppy cut we wanted to trim her short during the time it was summer..shih tzh dogs tends to overheat easily during summer season....you can do a teddy bar cut all around w similar results

She is precious! How old was she when she experienced her 1st grooming session?
If I remember correctly most groomers recommend and some will only accept puppies after they recieve all their puppy shots...so usually 4 shots which is done in the first 16 weeks..mikki had her first grooming around the 17 to 18week mark

Hi nenie..when you take your pup out depends on your environment...do you have alot of dogs in your area? Any stray dogs roaming around..things like that is important..we live in a highly populated dog area..most of our neighbors have dogs as well...
PARVOVIRUS is a serious deadly virus that can take a life of a dog if left untreated..I would read up on parvovirus so you understand what I mean...we waited till Mikki was 16weeks old..at 16weeks..she would had finish all her 4 vaccines needed to be 100% safe to be outside...you can take your pup out earlier if you feel comfortable..dont let your pup eat anything off the ground..drink any liquids off the ground..this is my personal opiniontho when you should take your pup out but follow your instincts.... thank you for coming by!
Hey nenie..sorry I got confused I thought this question was for taking her out on a walk.... am not when to take your pup to grooming..actually its said it's best to take your pup to the groomer as early as possible so the pup can get used to the groomer...you should talk to your groomer first and ask when the earliest to make sure...mikki started late because all groomers were booked for awhile..
