Thank you for your art, I’ve learned that I need to learn to using a color wheel, then I should be able to blend into the colors. Knowing which color can work together. Your work is beautiful.
Thank you for watching. Colour theory will help your technique to become spontaneous and free flowing... colour will become natural to understand. All the very best. 😊🙏
To be honest... I don't do it... it just happens and I keep out of the way and just observe... this sound weird but it is how it is. It flows without any thought. The key to all this is to draw from your heart with no expectations. 🙏
Dave...I left pastels because i want to move away from hyperrealism...i wanted my art to be impressionistic..yet i donot like dusty soft pastels...i like pencils though...but donot want to continue hyperrealism........i love impressionism more...so move to other mediums like watercolour and oils...All said and done...somehow i cannot leave your channel... somewhere i am hooked cooked and booked to your art......maybe someday i will return back to pastels.😃😃
Thank you for continuing watching my videos... my style looks realistic but how I apply it is impressionistic a mark here and I just let the work happen. All the very best in your art journey. My very best wishes 🥰🙏
Hello Sir, i have just watched a couple of your tutorials...WoW ! Fantastic work! I am a beginner, struggling & in need help big time. Hi Sam... thanks for watching... Much appreciated... it can be overwhelming when you first start... what helped me was not having too high expectations... I found all the power and focus being only in the moment here and now. Happy to just be... would be my best advice. Thanks for the kind words!... all the very best 🙏
@@DavePortersArt Thank you Dave. You are right my expectations are probably too high for my experience level, though my desire is to learn how to improve and get results that are realistic but also satisfactory.
Hello Sr.! I love your work! I wonder, what do you use to protect your color pencil Art work? Any brand of varnish that you will sugest! Thank you in advance.
Hi Diosney, appreciate you loving my work, means a lot. I wrap them in glassine paper if storing them, Or frame them under glass and mount. All the very best... thanks for watching. 🙏
Thank you, Dave another valuable lesson. I have a question for you. I noticed that you tend to create fairly small pieces in your tutorials. Do you prefer to work on pieces that have smaller areas to them, or do you produce larger pieces? I notice some artists tend toward life size and larger. Do you have an opinion? Looking forward to your next video.

Thank you Sr.! but I wonder, if you use any fixativ? Would you be so kind to name some good brand to buy it.
hi, I don't use any fixative as it dulls the details... I wrap the work up in glassine for storage, or frame under glass and mount. All the best🙏
