The funniest part of this video for me is the fact that I watched a video short earlier today at work of cyber trucks coming down a mountain trail and they had to reverse multiple times to complete the turns. xD so in short, the game depiction of its turning radius is absolutely on point.

It's to let others nearby know that your vehicle is in operation, since the electric motor may not be loud enough to give the same warning that a combustion engine would. I think technically it isn't required to be an engine noise, it could be any noise capable of getting another driver or a pedestrian's attention, but an engine noise is pretty much the best choice to make sure it registers to others as fast as possible that it's a vehicle in motion making the noise.
