Impressed You even got out of the bed Andy. True dedication. Hope the weather cleares up a bit, when me and a friend visit Scotland in May.
I hope so to bud.
Andy, you have to be THE most dedicated golfer in the world! Well done, sir and thank you for the content you bring to so many around the world!
Much appreciated
Thank you both for braving the elements for bringing us our weekly fix. As for photo of the week: ITS A TIE!!! Andy A and Tracy C - I’ll get off the fence now 😂
my fixed appointment on Monday nights Andy ... thank you for getting us through those dark, windy and above all very rainy golfwinter months ... greetings from - equally rainy - Belgium 🙂
Thanks for joining me, see you next Monday 😂
Well done
One of England's truly great golf course and one I've nearly played twice an been stopped by the weather both times but now, in my 75 year time is not on my side so this summer it's a must thanks Andy
Silloth is one of the best courses in the UK, in my opinion. A bit of a drag to get there but absolutely worth it. And you did do it justice. The nestled holes snaking through the dunes were captured brilliantly. We had similar weather to you when we played it, Andy but it didn't spoil the experience at all. We couldn't even get a driver to the 9th! And the long 18th was a gentle 3 wood, and a flick with a 5 iron to reach the back of the green. This week I have to go with Tracy C photo. Off to two other great courses tomorrow and wednesday - Bamburgh Castle and Dunstanburgh Castle, in Northumberland. Two courses you should defo film at it you haven't already.
Silloth in the summer with hard baked, rich tea coloured fairways is a monster. Fantastic value for money. The ninth is one of the best par three’s in Britain. As for the half way snack, I recommend a dram and a shortbread biscuit.
Great course - visited last year on the Northern Junior Golf Tour and thankfully we're back there again this year on the Spring Bank Weekend. 🙏
It is a bit of a drive to get there but the views aren't too shabby on the way up. One I'd like to play myself this year Andy.
Dear Andy , you are very brave to play under these horrible conditions. Get back inside , heat up and have a good glass of whatever. Your videos are getting better and better. 😊😊😊
Thanks👍🏼
Way to brave the weather, to show us another amazing course!!! Looking forward to what you have in store for us this year!! Andy A photo is my pick.
Thanks!
Despite the wind and rain and cold you look like your having a great time Andy, creating a lovely life for yourselves, best of luck to you both, enjoy.
Andy top marks for the video. I played there two years ago in a team competition. It was the middle of the summer, and the course was fantastic to play. Hope all works out for you.
Thanks John!
Great to you out in all weathers. Some lovely filming and the course looks good. Wind and rain, what a challenge!!!
I like Tracy C as well. Really good looking track. Again, it makes me want to take a trip across the pond and go on a very long road trip. Congrats on scoring PXG!!!
Can you imagine getting on yt to watch videos and getting caught up in the title? lol Anyone who watches this channel knows what you're doing and doesn't care what "title" you give the video. Great job on this new journey. Keep up the fantastic content. This has become my favorite golf channel to follow.
I appreciate the balanced mindset and common sense.
Despite the poor weather it looks an amazing course. Andy b for the pic of the week.
Hi Andy , I like a star bar too, have been watching some of your back catalogue, have really enjoyed viewing, which has helped to get me thru the horrid winter this year. can't wait to see your medal performances good luck .
Great to hear!
Tracy C.
I am looking forward to seeing how both the social and competitive golf works into the channel.
I vote for Tracey #3. Snack of choice is a sausage stick and cheddar cheese stick. Great perseverance to do this episode, bravo and once again another great episode
thanks Dave!
That took some dedication And. Glad you stuck with it though. Some of that imagery, when the sun came out, was glorious. I'm not picking a photo winner this week but my favourites are Andy C, Tracy C and Tracy D.
And thanks PXG.
A true amateur golfer, don't let the weather get you down Andy, the sun is just around the corner😊
Absolutely
Thanks for the trip this week Andy.Beautiful as always.Andy B
Never played silloth but great to see what it is like despite the weather - looks decent! Well persevered andy!! Tracy c for the photo but Andy a was a good one too. Looking forward to seeing where the series takes and hopefully it will stay 'off the beaten track' and maybe in the van too in the next couple of months!👍
Thank you andy, as always a pleasure watching every episode :) really liked the intro😅 pls try to focus a bit more on the history/ design of the golfcourse😊
I never wanted to go to anywhere in Europe, never saw a reason. Because of you, it is now a bucket list item to at least play one links course in Scotland. Thank You!
Thats good to read
Well done team to keep going at yet another wonderful golf course. Andy D for me this week.
Thanks!
I live in Cumbria and play just down the road at Maryport Golf Course. Silloth is a fantastic course and I’ve only played it once but going to be playing it hopefully a lot more this year. Great video!
You should
Andy, to answer your question, I usually bring fruits to the golf course to keep me hydrated and energetic, particularly in hot weather.
Thats a very healthy option, I need to take note
Andy, thanks for allowing us to tag along, A great video that makes me feel at home on the course. I pick Andy B.
Thanks for voting
Hey Andy, a nice hot dog always hits the spot at the turn.
good choice!
Beautiful pics and course. Great video!
Andy, I love to see that you braved the elements to play😊. You’re diffently my kind of golfer. Love the content, photos and videos that you produce.
My wife and I are planning a trip to the UK for a month in April 2025, and you have provided me with some courses I hope to play and if you’re around and interested…?
Keep up the great work!
Let me know where you are, I have travel planned right through until end of June 👍
@ 2:30. Excellent play of the wind!
Cheers
Tracy D photo - and it’s a lion bar or sometimes a Yorkie raisin for me
Thanks once again for a great video. I thought - especially the first half or so of this is video - was one of your best produced with both the music and the photography. For me really just excellent. Cheers and thanks again! (I'm a South Carolinian, but you've got me saying "cheers") : )
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gutted for ya And. That place has been on our list for ages too.
Another great video and course is spectacular! My vote for pictures is a tie. Andy A and Andy B.
Hi Andy, loving the content and taking us to lesser known gems.
Tracy C gets this weeks vote from moi
Thanks Ian!
Silloth is beautiful and brutal at the same time great work Andy keep them coming 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍
Yes absolutely 👍
Silloth is such an incredible course - challenging, beautiful, frustrating but enjoyable - a real test. It’s a great part of the world and some other gorgeous course close by too.
Great description
Andy D. Great vid, well done for persevering, looks like a walk off was on the cards early doors. 😂😂😂😂
Your titles are becoming "clickbaity". You rightly did away with the red arrows and other nonsense, but seem to be slipping into "Scouse" hyperbole/grief addict territory. Still one of the best golf youtube channels.
Yea 100% need to cut that out click bait titles or the whole channel and what its supposed to be about is a joke
I assumed Andy was referring to the weather. The weather has been plaguing his ability to get out and shoot videos during the winter months. It’s a reoccurring theme really.
Absolute shithouse for using the phrase grief addict in any context, very sad for you. Still, always great to give advice 👍🏻
I took it as Andy referring to the weather before watching ..... and I was right 🤷♂️ did not see it as click bait ....
Peanut butter banjo halfway 😁
I go with a Lucozade as well but go with a Lion bar to eat. must say i would of walked in that weather, No wouldn't of gone OUT!! Keep them coming Andy great stuff. Tracy c photo.
Andy B. Thanks for catching pneumonia. It was worth it so I could see the rest of an amazing course 😂
Its my pleasure
Gotta be a Raisin Yorkie Bar 🍫 Congrats on the brand partnership too 👍🏻
Looks a stunning course mate keep up the great video's. As you are my golf from now on as I've had to pack in . Photo (A) for me mate you've got to go back when it's a bit warmer
Gutted for you bud, at least Nunez keeps you smiling? YNWA
@@TheAverageGolfer cheers mate stay well 👍
Your dedication to this channel is inspiring and amazing. You are always trying to make this content better and better … not easy for sure. I think the negative comments could be toned down while still getting their thoughts across. It’s too easy to blast someone … make constructive comments about in you are interested seeing.
Andy b I have played silloth 3 times now and it never leaves you disappointed. I played castle Stuart and then silloth. I have to say. Silloth is up there with castle Stuart. In my opinion keep up the great work
Mid-round snack? I graze during the entire round! An apple on #6, some trail mix at the turn, and a banana on #13. I like some sunflower seeds in between.
Blimey mate, brutal or what! I had to put me thermals and bobble hat on just to sit and watch this weeks edition, Andy. Fair play to both of you for getting through it. The course and location looked stunning and despite the weather your golf held up pretty good, all things considered. Well done. On the photo comp…Andy A for me (sorry Tracy). Where next?
Yes it was brutal
Tracy C this week for me. Halfway snacks for me - oat bar and a Gatorade
Good choice
Although i have not played this course my father has more than a few times. He tells me it is worth a trip across the Pennines and from him that is great praise indeed.
Now that I live in London, my local course has been barely playable for the last few weeks, 18 months of mud with no end in sight.
As for mid round snack, has to be a Twix for me
The weather has been horrific
Andy, don't underestimate yourself, yes, usually, Tracy gets my vote the majority of the time but today, Andy A is the winner for me. Keep up the great work, you are inspiring me to go play all of the courses near me...tahnks
Lucozade and a Boost bar or Twix for me And.. another cracking course.. see you soon?
Tracy C for me and again another great video even in the conditions. Mid round snack I am an American beer and hotdogs!!!!
Thanks👍🏼
Haven't been able to eat while on the course. Stops my creative jucies, so a meal about 2 to 3 hr before and on course, water or herb tea with honey does it for me...Then after the round the sky is the limit.Thanks...
Tracey c.
Thank you guys for persevering with the weather it made great viewing
Thanks for watching
Sausage rolls are the mid-round go to for me :)
Even in bad weather you still made the course look wonderful….. all the photos looked were good 👍 …. But I was concerned that we were going to see you getting into the bath 🥺
That would make this a horror film
I must say Andy, Hot Golf were brilliant, a great experience for me…….thanks for the heads up 🙏🙏⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh thats good to hear Paul
Hats off to you Andy, conditions looked horrendous 😮 Bet you were glad when the sun came out!!! What PXG irons are you using?
Cheers Colin....0317T
Photo Comp - Tracey C
Half time snacks - energy drink and choccy bar. Occasionally a tot of whiskey for absent friends.
Recently swapped the wind and rain of Newcastle for a week in Val do Lobo. Looks a bit damp for this weekend as well.
We play GolfNow deals so its often a different golf course each week.
Sounds like a good move
I noticed that you are no longer using the l.a.b. mezz1 putter? I tried one the other day and loved it and am thinking about getting one. What are your thoughts and why have you stopped using it? Thank you as always for the pleasure of watching
Another great Video from the pair of you. Love the scenery. Tracy C did It for me In the Pic Comp.
Thanks
Andy A this week, Andy looked brutal early on, but what a great golf course.
Trail mix for me. Tons of calories for the weight, lasts for ever and you can take as much or as little as you need.
Andy B - the types of courses you play are typically enhance by bad weather - this one looks incredibly beautiful in the conditions
I’d like to test that theory 😂
The content, soft music, makes me want to kick back relax enjoy my cigar and wine wishing I could be you.
Sounds good
Nice vlog I have two rounds this year birthday treat , keep it up enjoyed it , food walnuts and coke drink , photo Andy B , keep it going 😮
Nice mix
Watching from Oz- I can handle wind, 5-40 degrees C but hate the rain when you get slippery grips and wet through - fair weather golfer lol.
Its all part of the challenge
Look forward to your content weekly.. and on course snack for me is a peanut butter and banana sandwich
Thanks Francis!
Fantastic course. Had the pleasure of playing it quite a few times…. ⛳️👍🏻⛳️
Great place
Siloth is on my to do list, hopefully in better conditions than you had mate, had plenty of days like that at Wallasey the last few weeks
It’s worth the trip Phil but preferably in better weather 😂
Worth waiting for the seasonal change later in the day 😳😄 Photo choice… Andy A 👍
Thanks 👍
How you managed such great content in those weather conditions I don’t know. Brilliant!!! my mid round snack is a mars bar and a sports drink.
We do try 👍
Looks a great course Andy, I always get a pack of Greggs sausage rolls, orange drink and a boost chocolate bar. Keeps the videos coming 👏
Thats my type of tea break
Bye the way my food on the course is more like a feast. 😂 Snickers, Twix, Banana, raisins and 2 bottles of water.
😂
Mid round snack is an Arnold Palmer and a bag of Peanut M&M's...can't go wrong
As Bill Murray said in Caddyshack "I'd keep playing, I don't think the heavy stuff is going to come down for quite awhile.". All kidding aside, don't blame you Andy, I personally cannot stand trying to play in the rain. It's hard enough for me to play in ideal conditions, let alone that added difficulty.
Its part of the challenge
Another great episode. My mid round snack: banana and water
So sorry Tracy but Andy A . . . . Silloth GC on my bucket list - so a mini tour with wifey beckons - accommodation looked great. No mid round snack unless its a steak and haggis pie at a halfway house
My Snack mid round: I have been enjoying 10th Tee Energy bars and water. I have tried all the sports drinks and packets but water is my real must have.
looks stunning
And6, thanks for sharing a great video.
Also right with You on playing a lot of different courses. Always doing that. Sure it makes You a better golfer.
I think so
Love your new content. Keep it up!!!
Appreciated Jeff
That's one of the reason I live most of my time here in Arizona. In the 20+ years I have lived here I can count on 1 hand how many times my round was negatively impacts by weather. (rain) I do not mind the heat so summer is not an issue for me. The only negative I have is that so many Californians, Chicago, Oregon people have moved here and have increased the traffic and making tee times harder to get.
Yep I hear ya
No matter the conditions your country shows beutifully.
Tracy C. And don't blow away!!
Doing the unexpected this week Andy c for me
Cracking course and is on my bucket list if I ever make my way up there
Doing the same this year moved from a large golf hotel to membership of a 9 hole course and the difference is unbelievable
The old course everyone just playing in their own little groups and was very commercialised and stupid amounts of societys booked in
I am Playing in loads of comps , charity events , in the sims ( have 4) in the evenings playing comps , summer wed evenings will be 9 hole comp then a barbecue
Atmosphere is so completely different wish I’d done it sooner
Joined a society 3 years ago and playing lots of different courses now which has improved my game a lot
That’s sounds like a great move 👍
Andy b 4 me this week. Thank you and thx PXG so that we can keep enjoying the series!
Thanks
Love the content! What pants are you wearing im after some waterproofs and they seemed to pass a firm test!
They are Kjus, cost a small fortune but had them 5 years and never failed
Andy’s photos are the winners
❤
Yes Jeff 🎉🎉
youre the man!!
The dinner looked good!
Your a trooper Andy !😊🏌♂️
Probably not the time of year pal to be playing such a golf course, fair play for trying maybe go back in the summer months 👍
Very difficult conditions early on but you were rewarded later on with som3 sunshine 🌞
Yes indeed!
Andy B…. Going to be staying in Ballater in July.., what golf courses can you recommend?
Check out my vids from Aberdeenshire as part of the Scotlands Less Obvious series, I played Banchory and Fraserbrugh
I liked Andy C this week. Showed the mood of the day.
It sure did
