- Watch Matt have the greatest day ice fishing for northern pike in Maine. He not only beat his pb pike once, he did it again with a true trophy northern pike. Maine considers Pike as invasive species but the fishermen in Maine really enjoy targeting them and pursuing big pike and you will see why in this episdoe.

What the heck are those things eating? Are people missing sheep around there? I used to watch Dylan Outdoors and all he caught was a buzz while on the hard water lol

Awesome vid Joe, great day of pike fishing for you two. Got my PB pike on Monday 34" 8.7lbs not a monster but I was happy. Now to beat that one. Keep up the vids.
Thanks bud, that’s an awesome fish! Keep it up
Great video, Joe! 19 pounds has won large mid west ice fishing contests. As fat as they are, they likely will grow to at least 30 pounds. I used to think my 5 pound pickerel were big. Why can't we see togue grow that fast? Baby togue are taking over.
Thank you
I would like to have a day of fishing like that.
For sure, it was a great day. A lot of hard work and dedication went into it from Matt and myself! Those are the days to remember
nice Joe awesome ...the grass is the
stuff what kind of break you on depth wise?
Thanks , mostly 8-12
Joe where is this no named lake of yours???? don’t look like no Sabattus pond Iv ever seen I just picked up a Garman stryker 4+ itching to get out and go when I can big Pike and Cusk are pretty much the fish that got me hooked to ice fishing good content as always
I try and keep it a secret because word leaked out and a few unethical fisherman jumped in,
Thumbs up. New subscriber. Love the channel. Cheers.
Absolute monsters bud, show casing one of Maine's best fisheries it's really too sad that the state doesn't see the potential that it has. Instead of paying between 10-20$ per stocked fish they wouldn't need to dish out any they would just need to manage what's already here. Great video bud.
Thanks bud. I’m hoping in my lifetime they open their eyes in Augusta , we have a lot of responsibility as sportsmen to do it right on our end.
We do yes. I'm very outspoken when it comes to protection of pike, been band, threatened, blocked kicked out of meetings but if I don't do it who else will. They are here to stay, they are money makers and every body of water that has them has a fish over 30lbs in it who wouldn't want a chance to catch that.
I fully agree.
They're acting the same way towards muskies up here in my area. They used muskies as the scape goat for the decline in the brook trout fisheries here (particularly the st john river where i live) when in fact it was a combination of the smallmouth, coarse fish species, and decline in water quality. Muskies are here to stay just like pike are. And as much i love native brook trout, i would rather fish for 45+ inch class muskies (with weighs over 25 lbs common here) anyday over 12 inch brook trout. They put up a fantastic fight, they're unpredictable as hell behavior wise and a hell of a lot more of a challenge to catch.
joe, is that the lake by your house?
No it’s not, we have amazing pike fishing in several lakes in Maine but not on damariscotta.
Where are you guys fishing?
Ya need a bigga Augga
Very nice fish those are giant, it’s too bad they are in the state of Maine though.
So many people in Maine enjoy them and it’s rekindling the ice fishing market it seems.
@@JoeHollandFishing well, I don’t doubt that people enjoy catching them, and it may be rekindling the ice fishing market, never really knew it was dwindling down. How ever they have and will reek havoc on native L.L. salmon and trout populations, it's good to see people out enjoying the maine outdoors though.
