usually, they are used as additional growing material since they have water retention and neutral ph. They are light and they hold moisture very well..you could use them since they dont become overly soggy. You'll have lesser root rot issues if your newly cut already has roots. You may try..
@@PLANTZILLABHL we here in the US can find sphagnum moss easier than coconut fibers. Also you mentioned you could use vinegar to substitute for lemon water to clean the leaves. White or Apple cider vinegar and how much in a gallon of water?
the white vinegar is better just dont overdo it. Start by mixing one teaspoon of vinegar with about a gallon of water. Then dip the cloth in your mix and apply to gently to your plants. An added bonus, the vinegar scent is great at repelling pests.

Yes po. It applies to all philos since most of our propagated plants are also philodendrons. 😊

Though we haven't personally tried it. We don't have much of that here.
what we can easily find as alternative for sphagnum moss here is the coir dust from coconuts..and perlites..
