Born and raised in New Zealand.Great video.I rather enjoyed it. I do have to admit that I did cringe several times at the pronunciation of some of the the Maori words,so my only criticism would be to please research the language of the country you are talking about so you don't butcher the language and possibly offend anyone.😊
One correction... The Puakai wasn't a mythical creature... It was a real, also know as the Haast Eagle, one of the largest birds in history. And it really did prey on humans.
great video ... i think few of these mythical creatures are inspired from real life animals or extinct species ...for eg the Taniwha could actually be the now extinct Megladon or some other large extinct sea creature ...the puakai is may be the extinct Haant,s Eagle which was found in new zealand, the hakaw may be actually the Kia , a species of Parrot still found today in New Zealand ... these are my point of view ... you may disagree
Interesting, from tge shape of mythological creatuees we know how old is the civilization of a race. If starting from shape of light, animal they are the oldest creatures the furst creatures could be trilliuns years old.
"Moehau" is a place, the "Moehau Monster" or "Moehau Man" - New Zealand's Bigfoot - has several stories surrounding it's supposed existence. One is that it was an escaped gorilla that swam ashore from the ship of a visiting circus from overseas. Another was that it was a hoax, reported by local weed farmers who wanted to scare people away from discovering their crops😂
Before doing your doco,s get a Maori to narrate the story cause you get tangata Whenua like me kia au who will takahia on your so called what, kore tau maramatanga o te Ao Maori, koretake, watched until you spoke your first Maori kupu which was 10seconds,ka oti....

Really if you're going to narrate our myths and legends, then at least learn to pronounce our words properly.😡
Why bother learning a useless dying language with no place or use in the modern world? 😂😂 primitive dribble from cannibals smh
