The disruptor damage of arc stars still broke red shields at 3x damage, but having 4x now should mean the edge of the explosion radius does more damage, right? While you don't get slowed as much, the damage to shields got buffed so this seems more like a rebalance to me than a nerf
It's a nerf towards insta shield break stick damage, which to be fair is kinda bullshit and luck-based sometimes. But yeah I agree that arc star is now work like other grenades where explosions matter more.
Yeah, you used to have to be at 70-42 damage range (x3 for shields) to break red EVO, but now can be at 70-32 damage range (4x for shields) to break red EVO.
Can’t believe frags don’t get more attention already. a well timed skynade has no indicator so no chance to escape, and they blast you 15 ft to the side
first you need to actually hit someone, and then you also need to time it right, you need both luck and skill for that thats why itsn ot viable and happens rarely

I agree with Boom. The double stun on arkstars is super strong. With only one stun in its previous state was able to get counter played but the damage was high to compensate for that

Getting stuck with an arc isn't MEANT to have counterplay, getting stuck is the reward for the other player's accuracy and prediction. It's like saying "There's no counterplay to getting shot in the head with a Kraber!" like yeah, that's the fucking point. People love to only look at the visible benefits when trying to claim that stuff is OP or no counterplay or whatever the narrative is at the time, but the reality is to stick someone with an arc is a LOT of downtime that you just don't have a gun out to defend yourself, and in that time a good player can definitely beam the hell out of you for more than that arc will do now, so especially now for stick damage to get nerfed and make that downtime less rewarding, it's absolutely a fat nerf. The impact of the nerf will obviously be different across different ranks where sticks are less common and where 1 second isn't life or death like at high ranks, but some implication that arcs are these no-risk-all-reward things that need to be brought down is just plain false.

From what I got was that respawn didn't really nerf the arc but more so punished and rewarded it. Getting a double stun for sticking is the rewarding factor while missing a stick would be the punishment depending on how far the enemy is from the arc. Even though a stick on no shields only does 80, that's not really a problem because it takes 2 bullets to down them while they're double stunned.
I know they sorted the charge up of Sentinel and Rampage, but they've nerfed it too. Takes 5 seconds to apply, but now an extra 2 seconds to actually work. Animation has stopped but if I start running or jumping within 2 seconds after that animation, it doesn't apply to the gun... that never used to happen...
I'm just complaining but I don't like the fact that if I stick with an ark when you have no shields that you don't get instantly knocked but that's probably because I can't stick ark stars to save my life.

Why do people complain about arc stars when you get thermite spam and skynade's in every game? i don't pick up arc stars because i can never stick anyone, that's why i just pick up frags and thermites because they're extremely easy to land
