During the protests in Gaza, Columbia students refused to leave; several are suspended.
Student protestors at Columbia University, the centre of the pro-Palestinian demonstrations that have rocked American college campuses, started to be suspended on Monday after they disobeyed an order to leave.
The action comes after nearly two weeks of anti-Israel demonstrations that have rocked colleges and universities around the nation since about 100 protestors were detained at Columbia on April 18.
