My parents retired this year and in a few months will go on a trip with my mom's old coworker to Vietnam. I need a vacation too...living vicariously through y'all right now!!! Luckily, Michigan has some pretty gorgeous places to explore. It can be a fun time being a tourist in your own home you've known forever! Do you agree??

The Hilton is a really nice hotel and yes so much cheaper than a Disney hotel. Just no early park entry-so got to stand in the long lines.
the lines took bad but it honestly was not difficult

Is the language barrier the same in Tokyo disneyland in terms of finding English speaking staff or was it still a Google translate situation?
id say its 50% less because all the signage is in both languages and many cast members speak both languages

What do you mean Gotokuji is out of the way if you are from Tokyo area ?? 🤦🏻♂️ It's in my neighborhood, Setagaya, and Setagaya is a HUGE part of Tokyo !
from our airbnb locations (ota ku & ueno) we would have had to take 3 to 4 trains and it would have taken us 2.5 hours each travel direction. Thats why we decided to drive directly there on our way to Disneyland :)
