In my opinion, if we're looking for that one moment of realization, the moment Murtasim starts falling for Meerab is the the Dargaah sequence. The breakdown of Meerab and how she was treated was the trigger to Murtasim developing a soft corner for Meerab. That's where the feelings developed and then started taking roots over time.

And there is an opening scene of an episode where murtasim is thinking why he keeps falling for her and as much she goes far from him his love increases even more. Wo lawn m khara hota h white shirt m or soch Raha hota he ya Khuda me kiun meerab ki muhabbat m griftar hota jaraha hun jitna wo mujhe se door jati h utna hi mujhe or qareeb lgti h.

I loved how Murtasim cried in the end, goes out to show that Meerub's love can make him cry and how! And the difference between Saad and Murtasim's crying is, Saad cries with a lot of sadness and loneliness and longing for Maheer whereas Murtasim was crying with a lot of hurt and anger.

While Nooran Makhdoom has written Murtasim’s dialogues from her heart, she literally forgot to write dialogues for Meerab. While Murtasim’s conversation with his mother was so well written and beautiful , Meerab goes mute in front of her parents, Maa Begum and Rohail, with no dialogues to speak.
While Murtasim was shown defending Meerab in front of everyone, Meerab couldn’t say a single word in favour of Murtasim with Rohail. Her conversation with him was most ambiguous. Any girl with a little bit of character would snub a stranger boy, defending her husband, no matter what. From telling him about the most private marriage contract to , “ mae usay nahi chour sakhti “, she sounded like a majboor girl waiting to get rescued by someone. Meerab was shown as a strong girl who spoke her mind, so why now ruin the character by giving such weak dialogues to her.

Exactly she sounded like a helpless girl who wants to leave him and come to Rohail while saying something like main kaise niklugi vaha se or whatever, writer is so smitten with Murtasim that she has ruined Meerab's character to the extreme level, very poorly written character, just to make Murtasim shine in every situation, like which girl is so stupid that she gets afraid by an obsessive lover to an extents that she gets in his car, can't snatch the phone back, can't give a shut up call like she gives to every other person unecessarily.

Hassan is being so unreasonable with Murtasim, it's been established since the first episode that he is a good man apart from the slap. He cares for the staff at his home, he even forgave Malik, he's not someone who would kill another person. It was such a good scene Wahaj's expression were so good the way he turned and punched Rohail in his face. Hassan wants Murtasim to end up like Danish from Kesi Teri Khudgarzi, you're getting a sensible hero for once please take it. And lastly it's not cool to say that he went home and cried like a baby, what does that mean he's a man so he can't cry? Murtasim crying showed his love for Meerab and that his ego has been hurt. It's just so normal for us to see an angry man kill/slap someone rather than seeing a man cry his heart out when he has been hurt.

Thank you Amna. Your understanding of Tere bin is much more than Hassan. What’s his fascination With Murtasim and his Goli? Alpha Male doesn’t mean murderer.
I do not recall Murtasim or Meerab stating that she is pregnant but simply nod in agreement to prevent spilling the truth.
Murtasim gradually fell for Meerab. His disliking of her changed to Sympathy after he witnessed her adoptive parents abandoned her and then refused to open the door for her. At the Mosque he saw her pray and and found her intriguing when he gave her a second look and prayed for her. When he saw her at the Walima he was stunned at her beauty. He gradually fell in love and the more she pushed him away the more he wanted her.
I do believe if no one could have played Meerab better than Yumna as although she has no dialogues her facial expressions reflect her emotions. I just hope Meerab’s character does not continue with so many inconsistencies.

Murtasim crying in the ending scene was the highlight of the show for me. This is the first time he fell weak. Obviously it’s because his love for Meerub has changed him. And this is an amazing character arc. That’s how much meerub and her love affects him. He is badly hurt but still won’t make a mistake which could backfire and eventually create trouble for her too. He can’t go and kill around people anymore. Loved that sequence tbh plus wahaj’s performance is chef’s kiss

The whole of episode 28 is a powerful illustration of Murtasim's acquired, imposed by culture, personality and what he is, as a sensitive man. The episode, for me, is about the tussle between the two aspects of his personality. When Rohail opens the door, Murtasim doesn't even acknowledge his prescence, his gaze being firmly fixed on Meerab. His concern is about what she has done. Rohail is incidental - he pushes him aside without even looking at him. His alpha male only surfaces when Rohail goads him with his comments. He is still controlled and able to desist from beating the hell out of him in response to Meerub asking him to stop. He doesn't bad mouth Rohail, instead his focus is still on what Meerub is to him.....his wife till the end of time. He then proceeds to say to Meerub: mulaqaat ho gai, ab chalen. Again, composed, sensitive, focussed. But he is a man and human after all and pulls out his gun after being provoked again. His body language shows him to be totally consumed by the tussle between the two aspects of his personality, and still his sensitive self pervades when he protects Meerub's respect infront of her parents. One can go on and on......
His tears at the end are his private self, dejected by the enormity of finding his wife in the home of another man. You don't see an enraged man whose honour has been compromised (this is all secondary to his private self), but a man whose heart is broken. Wahaj's performance was brilliant and subtle throughout. I have watched his scenes over and over again. Bravo, Wahaj!

There is sooo much to say about this review, so please bear with me if you do read this,
12:40 - Maa Begum says it right when they bring Meerab into the hospital that she is pregnant, and from what I remember the doctor acknowledged it.
14:20 - Bhakhtu was the one that Maa Begum yelled for to help take Meerab to the hospital, so it could be that he was the one to inform Murtasim that Meerab was taken to hospital and obviously when you reach there you would look for the person that contacted you in the first place.
26:36 - he was just trying to be a caring husband 😅 like the whole Kheer scenario, he tells Meerab that’s what good wives do for their husbands, take care of them. So he’s leading by example.
29:36 - I fully agree here with Amna, this scene was so pure, very well written and executed to perfection by Bushra Ansari and Wahaj. One of my top favorite scenes for sure.
31:30 - I ask myself this question all the time, it’s very difficult to pinpoint an exact moment. Aamna is right, there was a buildup. From what I recall, the director said that he was falling for her even before the slap scene, which doesn’t make sense to me at all..esp when we don’t have much context behind their childhood relationship. However, I always come back to the moment being the Mazaar wala scene. But I do wish that they make it known somehow the exact moment.
46:59 - love the whole list of red flags and agree with them all, but you also have to remember she was probably a bit scared because of all of the red flags you listed that he wouldn’t do anything stupid or hurt her if she tried to get away or back away from the situation.
48:00 - I don’t agree that it’s an ordinary story because of a few reasons, one being that every week they tend to prove viewers wrong when it comes to promo discussions, so it’s not a very predictable show, secondly, most shows I’ve watched drag their tracks on for so long whereas Tere Bin has done a phenomenal job, and I absolutely applaud them for this, at resolving conflicts within an episode or two. So it’s unpredictable, fast paced, and the cherry on top is Wahaj and Yumna’s amazing onscreen presence and chemistry. At the end of the day, it’s a fictional show and yes I agree it could have been written better in some areas, but logic should be thrown out the window when watching it because not everything is going to be very realistic. (Completely agree with Amna’s sentiments here, I paused the video to make this comment before Aamna spoke, so thank you Aamna!)
52:51 - loved the roast 😂 pinterest lover boy Rohail, on another note, I called it from the beginning that Rohail was going to be shown as an unhealthy obsessed character that is going to get Meerab into a lot of trouble going forward. And something definitely tells me we haven’t even seen the full extent of it. Mar ke hi rahega, aur voh bhi Murtasim ke haath se.
58:00 - he does ask the parents and mulazim “aur yeh saba rehti kahan hai” but I also agree it’s like he has this sixth sense when it comes to finding where Meerab is
1:03:36 - yesss that scene was absolutely beautiful, Hassan is looking at it from a different perspective however I think Meerab has changed him so much so as a person that he stops beating Rohail up because SHE told him to stop. He stopped for her, but by nature he would’ve walked out of there having done a lot more damage
1:08:46 - yes Aamna 👏 it was like what you were saying was going completely over Hassan’s head. Yes they established him to be this alpha male but they have also time and time again shown that he has developed a soft side for Meerab and that he is a person at the end of the day with feelings and emotions. You can’t say he’s acting like a baby and completely disregard the characters feelings.
1:14:01 - beautiful scene and how Wahaj played it so well. Props to both for being able to play off of each other so well, it really felt so real.
1:17:06 - I have to disagree with Hassan here. Yes Saad was always played out to be a very sensitive character, however Murtasim was also always shown to have feelings, esp towards women. He plays his tough, feudalistic side in front of those who he needs to but at the same time he shows humor where it’s needed, anger where it is right, frustration when appropriate, so why can’t he display his emotions of hurt and frustration? Here is a man who has done everything he can to prove himself and his love to his wife and she’s done about everything under the sun to challenge him at every turn. There has to be a breaking point somewhere and for him seeing her in another man’s home alone was the last straw. He even said “woh manzar mere nazar se nai jaraha” so him being emotional and crying is very valid and not out of character. If anything it adds more depth to his character.
Anyhow, Wednesday can’t come soon enough! I’m literally counting down the days. I’m actually glad Murtasim is behaving so coldly towards Meerab, it’s high time he gave it back to her. We all know she hates being ignored by him (revert back to the epic pool scene) soo this should bring out some sort of feelings from her. Whether she finally confesses or not the jury is out on that but by the looks of it seems like she takes two steps forward and ten steps back due to her ego 🤦‍♀️ The promos look very intriguing and by now I’ve learned that it’s never what I think it’ll be 😂 also, love you both looking forward to the next discussion!! The energy everybody is giving to Meerab should have been given to Murtasim all this time, if not worse. For god’s sake, her character is being questioned. After knowing how much Haya liked Murtasim, Murtasim on many occasions went outside with her and was even physically close but Meerab only questioned his love, never his character. The blame falls on the writer, the director and our society for making it about her character because she is a woman.

This would be a reputational issue in many liberal South Asian countries. On top of that haya is constantly acting like his stand by wife and he has been giving her a free license for some time. Knowing everything murtasim consciously took her along with him to the village to take care of him apparently 😐 and this was brushed aside as if it was a normal matter and it was only meerab's unfounded jealousy!
In reality, no women would be OK with such a thing so fast.
While meerab never planned to meet rohail, she's being crucified for being dumb. Rohail was clearly forcing and manipulating her.
While murtasim is totally justified in being hurt and angry with her, he is taking it too far by asking her to jump off thr terrace to prove her innocence! Like dude seriously you were in a worse situation just few weeks ago ( at your own will) but she didn't ask you to commit suicide!
Trust and love go together. Love without trust doesn't survive in the long run. But it seems only women have to prove everything while men get away with anything

And this was justified when he was later shown praying for her to get whatever she wishes for.

Murtasim always had a grudging admiration for Meerub as he expressed in front of Haya that she is not behaya. Also he must've liked her guts. He later expressed his admiration for her courage and support for the truth. Maa Begum said to him after the mosque scene that there must be something in her that made you take her to Karachi on her behest without telling anyone! The fact that she was his first cousin and that his late father had approved the match also counted. Then the mosque scene. Even in the hospital he referred to her as his fiancé. So it was building up for some time and after the wedding it was downhill all the way!

No,I don't think his aggression felt short. He acted quite aggressively there and was willing to kill him - but Meerab came between. He even stopped hitting him after Meerab told him to. He threatened him and told him that she'll remain his wife till "qayamat" which was enough for him. He was hurt internally because of Meerab too because she hadn't said a word in his defense - hence he just established the fact to him that she'll forever be his, but did not say anything more about his "love" or "her protection" because what would he protect her from?? It seemed that Meerab had gone herself to Rohail. His aggression was shown during the kidnapping track when she was forcibly taken. This case was different. His actions had enough aggression in my opinion

  • @nida88
    @nida88 Год назад +17

The exact moment Murtasim realizes his love for Meerub is when she gets kidnapped (episode 16). He's in such a panic and overwhelmed with emotion and worry that he unintentionally says it out loud to Bakhtu 'baat meri izzat ki hai', meri JAAN ki hai'.
That's the first time he actually cries for her, when he's taking care of her at the farm and realizes she makes him vulnerable.
The next day when he shouts at her he indirectly tells Meerub his feelings - 'Aur joh kal raat tumne mujhe mara hai ek ek lamha, ek ek pal?'
Point to be noted the last time he shouted at her was in episode 11 during her walima dance, since then he's been flirty, soft spoken and very accommodating because of her one statement: 'joh mere sath hua yeh uska reaction hai' which made him realize that she's lashing out at everyone because she's still hurting. That's why in episode 12 he does a complete 180° and tries to woo her so that she lets go of her bitterness and becomes more accepting of their marriage and situation. He realized he cannot retaliate to her tantrums with anger that will make her more rebellious.
Murtasim's journey to love started with SYMPATHY when her parents refused to open the door for her, then RESPECT when she explained her reason for agreeing to the marriage, then PHYSICAL ATTRACTION as he looks at her mesmerized firstly at the Mizar then mehndi, wedding and walima functions... He becomes INFATUATED when he sees her worrying and taking care of him when he gets fish allergy.

I agree with Aamna completely because the intensity was absolutely there in Murtasim's anger toward Rohail. When he walks in with that pent-up anger he is constantly staring at Meerub with disappointment and questioning eyes. His not being able to actually go through with ending Rohail's life is why he has so much anger and emotion at the end when he is crying because the past Murtasim would have done it. However, because Meerab constantly asks him to stop and he knows that he doesn't want to hurt her in any way which would be irreversible as he has said before as well that he does not do anything which hurts her intentionally. The gun shot at the end signifies how that bullet was meant for Rohail's head and he has to get rid of it to clear his head and the constant dilemma he has with himself of not going through with shooting him. Furthermore, I completely agree that when men like Murtasim crumble it is far worse than a person who has always been in touch with their sensitive side. He sat alone and went through the entire episode of the day in his head, over Meerab's actions, over his inability to hurt her in any way even if was justified. His eyes said more than his words ever could and I applaud the fact that he doesn't use any unacceptable language or hit him to the point of achieving a sense of power over Rohail which he knows he has.

Meerub's character arc could have been written better, but Yumna performs so well that I still feel for Meerub and can understand her perspective (even though the writer has not explained it haha). The scene when she is in her bedroom and there is no mention of her there, it was so sad and emotional. Not to mention she left this house so abruptly, and when she begged them to open the door the last time she was there, her parents did not do anything. I'm sorry, I did not believe her mom's explanation at all. Yes Murtasim turned out great, but that does not negate their actions and how much she has been though. I understand that she is confused and now has a lack of trust for her relationships, which is why she takes one step forward and several backwards in regards to her relationship with Murtasim.
I wish the writer had done justice and explained Meerub more, rather than us feeling it due to Yumna's eyes and expressions.

I think that the writer actually started writing the drama just after she got the character Murtasim (after getting inspired by a character like him). So she hatched a plot just to showcase one person's character. She exploited Meerabs character just to show how the lead hero is and hatched a storyline. She did show a good lead and we can rarely find any fault in Murtasims character but Meerab here is just sidelined.

Imagine seeing your wife with an unknown man at his apartment and the cherry on top is that man admitting his love or ur wife infront of you! Murtasim's anger is justified, as after so much time into marriage meerab is still not showing him any affection so its right for him to think that maybe she loves anybody from her past which is why she isn't responding to murtasims love. So murtasim's behavior makes sense! Haya to chalo phir sabke samne kartoot kerti hai and everybody knows murtasim has given her shutup calls before as well, but for murtasim rohail was somebody only seen once before. However, meerabs character and behavior at the time when rohail was taking her is obviously not justified

I mean haya has gone above and beyond is expressing her love and extreme dislike for meerab all the while murtasim openly enjoys making meerab jealous or feel possessive towards him. Yet when the shoe is on the other foot he is unable to give meerab the same benefit of the doubt he expects from her; basic trust and integrity. Even if murtasim feels angry at rohail and is insecure about meerab he should not take that anger out on her. Also maa begum sent haya with murtasim knowing a meerab’s concern about her yet meerab’s father fully lectured meerab being spotted at rohail regardless of her being forced….hypocrisy

Thank you for asking this, Hassan. I was also thinking what made Murtasim fall for Meerab when she is constantly doing damage. The only logical explanation I could think of was the pre-established guilt of hitting Meerab when she was going through a tough phase. Then Murtasim saw Meerab running after her parent's car when they left her in Hyderabad and she falls down on her knees in the driveway. Murtasim felt sympathetic towards her again. She then asked him to take her to Karachi to meet her parents and there he witnessed how helpless Meerab was and she asks him ab main kahan jaon gi. Murtasim gives her his hand tells her mere ghar chalo. Then that entire dargah scene where he looks for Meerab and they both spend some time quietly standing there, sort of establishing a bond. After reaching back, Meerab said she was ready to marry Murtasim and even Murtasim gets shocked and confirmed it with her. He even asked kya ab tum mujh se nafrat nahin karti. She said no.
What follows is Murtasim marrying Meerab and then taking a stand for her and protecting her because she is his wife. He did it all to give Meerab the respect he'd to his wife and fell for her in the process. But on the other hand, Meerab had pledged main rulaon gi, and unfortunately, she continues to do so. What sets Murtasim apart from Saad for me is that Meerab wasn't Murtasim's childhood love but he still continues to take a stand for her and expresses his love because she is his wife. He didn't want to marry this girl but when he did, he made sure to give her the respect she deserves as a wife. One would think it was even out of character for Murtasim given they established him as an aggressive person who won't take any bullshit from anyone, but he did it for his wife.

Does Murtasim love Meerab ? Up until now .I thought he is just a narsissitic Ars.........gaslighting Meerab : the slap ,his disdain for her when he thought she was adopted and of unknown lineage , repeated serial visuals of him dragging her by the wrist like a possession (never putting his arm across her shoulders ,or even holding her hand ) ,him skipping down the stairs for breakfast ,at least 6 paces before her while she tripped down behind him in flowing goergette with a shit load of extentions ,his constant ogling and attempt to turn her into the matriarch or worse still Haya .His refusal to support her to get the one thing she wants : a law degree . ( i thought that would be the contract ) .once they were married he had full control to support her in that but all he is interested in is baby murthasims !!!!!! However That last scene of tears running down his cheeks ,clinched it for me .this has got to be love . and perhaps , inadvertantly Meerab has slapped him back ....sorry I cannot let the SLAP go .
what promised to be an Epic romance between two very similar/equal protagonists with different up bringing has come crashing down .
    so whats next ?
    1. someone should lock Haya up and throw away the key .enough of her already
2.M & M now have a decent ,substantive conversation about their mutual situation : draw up a new contract where he supports her to pursue her studies and she starts breeding . and we see this journey of an intelligent young couple, in love, starting a family and for Meerab pursuing her dream career with all the romantic trimmings, without fear of interuption from Haya !!!!. Those of us( women ) who have juggled a career with marraige and family : Thats how we did it !!!!!
    3. If anybody wants to rewrite Tere BIN without the Pseudo Khan families mental health issues and if there has to be a Rohail .it should be a better structured character perhaps an actual close buddy of Meerabs or even a past love interest played by Ahmed Ali Akbar ..... Raqib Takkar ka tho ho ?!!!!
deep respect and admiration for Yumana who to my mind is a Meryl Streep , Julia Roberts ,Sandra Bollock all rolled into one !!!! her sheer generosity towards co-actors is astounding .........

Aamna was so on point today! I loved her throughout! 🌸
Here are my two cents on #Terebin so far:
First of all, I think by telling her to jump, he isn't doubting her but testing her trust in him. Because if she could trust Rohail that much (which pretty sure he was fuming outta jealousy for) that she went to his flat alone then does she trust #Murtasim enough to jump upon him saying so! It seems now its in his ego whether he has her totally! Or does Rohail have her more than he ever had her! Like who can she cross any boundary for as he perhaps would for her! He's trying to know whether she feels anything for him or not! #Terebin #meerasim
Second, by *Kirdar baanao* there’s no way he is calling her characterless but rather wanting her to make a character that she’d fully strongly follow and register herself in as he can guess she’s confused and due to being so, she’s letting him down by listening to Rohail confessing his white board wala love! He couldn’t bear seeing her silent whereas she speaks so rigidly and strongly to him with him. Two times she’s been silent despite being the straight forward and bold girl she is. Once when Maa begum assumed her pregnant and now this when she couldn’t say a word to Rohail whereas she could’ve stopped it at once. Like Waqas chacha said, ‘wherever has this Rohail come from, its Meerab who has to send him away if she wills to keep Murtasim in her life’ (which tbh, by Meerab’s expressions and impressions I highly doubt because, dude? Wtf is, leave my hand for now, Rohail? Matlab kya phir baad me pakar lena abhi chhoro? Wtf is, LEAVE FOR NOW?)
Third, however having said all that, Murtasim also needs to understand that he is facing what Meerab faced too. Haya used to do her *izhare mohabbat* almost on daily basis including creating misunderstandings between them from day one and DESPITE that, he took her to gaon as if Meerab wouldn’t react whereas he knew it very very well that she definitely would as she has been reacting and even asking him clearly not to even talk to Haya!
In my opinion, both of them need to clear their heads and understand what they themselves want!
Also, Nooran ji did say that, Murtasim fell for Meerab at the dargah when he could feel her pain! And he did say to himself at one point that, *O khudaya, wo jitna mujhse duur ja rahi hai, mai utna hi uske taraf kheechta jahta hoon (or something like that)* so that's in my opinion a day where he feels he's getting attracted towards her uncontrollably!
At this point I'd say, #terebin is the best show even with the flaws so lets not seek so much logic in a fiction because the most amazing thing was that, we got to witness the wonderful and magnificently and incredibly magical sizzling chemistry of Wahaj and Yumna! Creating magic
on screen is no easy task and they've done extremely well! So lets continue giving it the love it has earned because no wonder. #Meerasim has our hearts! And I want to see them together in more and more projects in the future.
#YumHaj and #Meerasim were the best gift from the team and I can never get over the magic of charm Yumna and Wahaj has casted upon us. I cannot get enough of them! I absolutely love them 🌸

Yumna Zaidi's performance as Meerab in Tere Bin is an exceptional example of how a good actor can save an extremely poorly written character.
While it's easy to root for Murtasim because he's consistently glorified as the good man/husband, Meerab's character writing holds innumerable flaws and inconsistencies; regardless, many people root for Meerab solely because of Yumna's exemplary performance. In episode 27, there were barely enough dialogues given to her, yet through Yumna's eyes and subtle facial expressions, we observed the shift in Meerab's feelings for Murtasim and all the emotions and conflict Meerab's character is going through. Since the writing doesn't let Meerab vocalise her thoughts or highlight her point of view, we are confused about meerab's current state of mind, but Yumna single-handedly makes up for all the blatant flaws in the writing and makes Meerab's character shine. Her silence spoke louder than any dialogue ever could both in episode 27 and 28.

  • @naderah605

Thank you for this nice review. I feel sad seeing Yumna as Meerab. Such a talented actress got this role which has no logical thoughts or dialogues. It's a fictional show and we understand there will be misunderstanding, conflict. But, this doesn't mean that after 28 episodes Meerab is still confused and they're showing continuously lots of illogical, silly things. Sometimes even Haya got more screen presence than Meerab. Why Meerab suddenly went to Karachi, why she told Rohail about their contract, why she can't explain Maa Begum immediately that she wasn't pregnant? Meerab had to face very hard time, unusual situation to marry Murtasim. We feel her pain. But, after the car accident episode where Meerab saw how Murtasim saved her and put himself in danger, she feelings should change immediately for Murtasim. Like me many of the Yumna and Wahaj fans are watching this drama only for their amazing chemistry. The writer, director and producer of Tere Bin failed to capture their romantic scenes properly. All of us are waiting for so many days that we will be able to see their meaningful conversation, lovable moments. But, all the time when we were enjoying their scenes then someone comes in their room, Haya tries to create problem, Ma begum gets angry. What do they really want to show us?? All the romantic scenes are partially done, not complete. I wish Yumna and Wahaj get a brilliant script soon with some sensible writer, director to satisfy their diehard fans. I lost hope on Tere Bin as they already finished shooting. Makers won't make any changes to satisfy us.

I am amazed by Hassan and Amnas comment. Murtasim ko Meerab Kub achi lagi... and both didn't know. I mean 28 episodes done exclusive reviews of the show and we still don't remeber when and how he fell for her.
We have seen iconic moments in the play that signify how Murtasims love evolved. Wahaj has even emotes that rising intensity in all his scene. Starting from the day he slapped he regrets then even more when he comes to know her adoption was reason of her behavior. Then the door closure at home, dargah scene, her agreement to marry as she does not hate him anymore after that, brings her parents to barat to console her, walima look, apologetic for the walima slap, then says when u cry I feel pain, I mean each episode shows him falling for her more.. her kidnapping.. meri meerub... post accident her holding his hand and allowing to one to bed.. and what not. I don't get the question seriously... the whole 28 episodes show him falling for her more each day.

Murtasim’s character has been thru an immense change/growth. As you guys have discussed before, his demeanor has softened because of Meerab and his love for her. That’s why he is gentler with Haya, forgives his lifelong enemy Malik Zubair, etc. He’s putting up with Meerab’s consistent snubs towards him, and he protects her in front of every single person, including his own mother. If you recall in an early episode, after Meerab announces she will marry Murtasim, he has a brief conversation with Haya as she’s sitting on the stairs, stunned at the marital development. And he tells her that he no longer cries. Well, his love for Meerab has completely broken thru that protective barrier he had built around himself, presumably after his first heartbreak. So, he is shown to either have teary eyes or actual crying episodes when his emotions were overwhelmed. His crying in this last episode showed anger, frustration, and heartbreak. He told Meerab that she didn’t shut Rohail up during his confession of love AND while he was saying ridiculous things about Murtasim. He is beyond disappointed. I think the deepest roots of all these feelings are 1. Meerab doesn’t confess her feelings of love and care to him AND 2. The contract between them. That tension is reaching its peak for him.
As for Meerab’s character, just as you’ve said, the writing is horrible. Yumna is the saving grace of this character. The only thing that is consistent and makes sense is her inner turmoil about abandonment. And in reality, a person like her would need tons of therapy to work thru all this. And it’s deep sense of abandonment that has blocked her from admitting her true feelings to Murtasim and her love for him. She’s ALWAYS on the defensive.

Tere bin: love the reviews guys!
I genuinely believe that the moment Murtasim fell for Meerub was the mazar scene.. the way he watches her pray and sees how helpless he is he initially feels bad for her, but seeing her at her most vulnerable at the mazar just after her parents refuse to see her was what i believe was what flipped that switch in him. he then goes on to pray for her very wholeheartedly that "jo isko chahiye hai vo ise mil jaye" which i felt came very genuinely from him.. then the next scene he asks her why she has agreed to marry him and even then when he goes to ask her you can sense a change of tone in body language and emotion with the way he communicates with her. after which we see all the mayoun scenes where hes infatuated with her and like amna said, it just kept gradually going up from there.

Watching this young man precisely emote a thousand emotions through his eyes, posture, and facial expression was a pleasure. The writer of this drama has already stated in an interview she has written a script for entertainment purposes only. So, why are we looking for logic in something that the writer has already admitted to as fantasy drama? Stop overanalyzing and enjoy the angst, hotness, chemistry, and brilliant performance of two very talented individuals. @Hassan: to answer your question, there was no single moment when Murtasim fell in love. It was a series of moments. The starting point was when he slapped Meerub. This was out of character for him. The slap took Murtasim by surprise as well. His transformation from his usual self started at this moment. The first time he stood by Meerub’s side was when she fell to her knees running after her parents car. Murtasim reaches out to give her a hand. From that moment, he has been standing with her. The moment Murtasim felt Meerub’s pain was when she was sitting in front of her parents door wondering where she will go. Murtasim offers to shelter her from the pain. When they go to the Mosque and Murtasim catches a glimpse of Meerub, he surrenders to her. When he asks Allah to grant Meerub’s wishes, he is now praying for her. When he runs after Meerub at the same place looking for her, he is afraid for the first time of losing her. As the story unfolds, we see Murtasim falling deeper and deeper. As Murtasim said, he never planned it, wished it, hoped for it or even tried for it. Before he knew it, Murtasim was in too deep. Now, turning back is not even an option.
There is a beautiful scene in one the earlier episodes when Meerub is busy dealing with the household issues. Murtasim approaches her very closely. Meerub turns around and faces him and you see Murtasim looses his breath for a moment. This scene symbolizes their relationship. Both of them are taken aback by this intense and unexpected pull they feel towards each other. Murtasim has been more accepting of it while Meerub keeps denying it. Btw, both Wahaj and Yumna killed it in that scene. Amazing actors!

The most important thing is that when Meerab saw haya & murtaism together the writer took the episode further in a comedy manner & didn’t even bother to show meerab’s pain or point of view. But in Murtasim’s case the writing is all about showing murtasim’s pain.. like seriously.. same thing happened but it’s only meerab who needs to give explanation to everyone … the writer is so so so pro murtasim’s character that she is making meerab villian every single time

But Murtasim did explain himself. He did prove his innocence. Meerub was mad when Murtasim questioned her, yet she herself questioned him multiple times about Haya? And Murtasim has always reassured her about her position in his life and his feelings about Haya. Had Haya disrespected Meerub and their marriage in front of Murtasim like that, he would have never kept quiet like Meerub did when Rohail disrespected Murtasim. The writer has shown Meerub to be still confused about her feelings for Murtasim (from her conversations with Rohail), why would she be so dukkhi about it. Not to mention Murtasim kept his ego aside and explained the situation via Haya.

    • @sadiakhan413

Both scenarios were different . Rohail is not her cousin like haya who was sent with murtasim by the mother he didn’t hide this all from meerub. Meerub hide meeting with rohail and talking on phone and then goes to her home alone without telling anyone knowingly rohail loves her and anything could happen . And cherry on top when rohail is expressing his love in front of murtasim she is not saying anything

    • @Unicorns-And-Glitter

The thing is, meerub knew about haya, murtasim knows meerub knew about haya, murtasim still took haya with him. As for rohail, murtasim didn't even knew rohail existed. Meerub would have been wrong if meerub would have met rohail after this incident and after murtasim knowing about rohails love.

    • @SKumar-os2ne
      @SKumar-os2ne Год назад +7

@@Unicorns-And-Glitter yes Murtasim did not know Rohail existed, he has no idea what to make of this guy saying all this to him in front of his wife, while his wife did not speak a word. Meerub knew about Haya, she also knew very well how Haya is, how she would lie very easily or manipulate the situation to create misunderstandings between her and Murtasim. Also Murtasim clarified his feelings about Haya to her multiple times. Still he should not have taken her with him. But he never hid anything about Haya. Meerub hiding it just makes it look even more suspicious. Just like Murtasim crossed a boundary by taking Haya with him. Meerub crossed a boundary already when she kept making Rohail think they have a chance by revealing intimate details of their marriage to him.

32:00 Murtasim had a little soft corner for Meerub from the very beginning I believe … From the day her parents left her at Hyderabad forcefully…when she asked him to take her to Karachi to meet her parents for once and for last time & he took her there..when she was crying hopelessly at her parents home & they don’t open the door.. when she asks him where she would go if they don’t open & he says mere saath mere ghar chalo.. took her to that mosque.. he was worried there when he couldn’t find her etc. etc… and after Mer says yes for marriage he asks her why she agreed she says she has no where to go etc !! IT WAS THAT DAY… the beginning of him falling towards her and gradually fell in love with her which he says increases day by day.
Also that in the beginning it could be sympathy or something but he is just so understanding towards her & her situation where he feels & understands her and gives her that space. It was not a particular moment where he fell in love with her totally but gradually those little moments made him fall for her I guess.

Him taking care of her post the kidnapping fully , established he is in love with Meerab .

One proper conversation should be there ,without anyone's interruption please ! Here there is misunderstanding, and this should clear asap ! Meerab went to meet saba ,and rohail stopped her and insisted so much to come along with him ,here meerab is not wrong going with rohail because she knows that rohail feels so ,and she should talk to him and tell that now she has strengthened her relationship with murtasim and cannot leave him at any cost and ask rohail to move on ,rohail was the guy who said that we are going to the restaurant and took her to his house and this is jabardasti ! For those who told meerab hasn't uttered a word to rohail, she told , he is my husband ! "Kyun nikalun main!?" Speaks a lot ,which says that why, which definitely is the answer that she doesn't want to leave her husband ,now she is falling for him ,she has started to understand what murthasim is to her ,and if rohail doesn't listen to her what can she do !
She was scared to see angry murthasim ,and scared to see disappointment in his eyes and worried she will loose him and even that if he kills rohail ,murthasim will be assaulted of crime ,while she didn't want to happen ,she doesn't want any problem to come to murtasim ! Usne 3 baar bola jab kab mili hai ,par rohail sun nhi Raha ! The thing is murtasim doesn't know this ,that meerab has clearly said no to him ,the very first time itself !
And for those who say ki usne murtasim ki haath chudwayi ,rohail ki nahi , only few people can understand ,who open minded watch ,and not hate meerab from the booton of their heart ,the scene says that meerab doesn't need murtasim to take her forcefully with him,she is ready to go with him ! And the only thing I feel bad here is ,that murtasim should have heard her out once , because she also heard what haya said and acted matured, when she saw them in the village !
Murtasim's anger, pain everything is justified ,as he misunderstood the situation ,but kidhar wala dialogue kuch zyada hi ho gya !
The moment murtasim knows the truth , everything will change and feel guilty for sure ! There bond will get much stronger !
Meerab is not confessing her love ,as she is scared to loose him ! But confession is not only the sign of love ! Her everyday gesture gradually say how much he means to her !
Now she is adapting slowly ,she called anila mama also

She was a treat to watch 🌺

He is not blaming her for being kidnapped, he is blaming her for keeping quiet when Rohail disrespected him and their marriage in front of her. Murtasim has always supported Meerub in such instances. Had Haya done what Rohail did he would have never kept quiet like Meerub did.Don't agree with Murtasim in the roof scene though. But Haya and Murtasim's situation and Meerub and Rohail's were completely different, nothing about Haya and Murtasim's situation was hidden from her. She knew how desperate Haya was about Murtasim and she also knew how Murtasim felt about Haya. While Meerub hid everything about Rohail.

For this particular scene rohail meerab and murtasim. think this is best sequence so far contrary to the popular opinion writer choose to go other way around. From meerab perspective Rohail is her frnd whom she can trust he asked her to talk and she followed him thinking it would be some restaurant. At his door step she don't want to go in yet as frnd if any one would be there would give it a chance one always have soft corner for frnds . And when she got to know she is in mess she tries to go out asap rather than provoking him she clearly put a warning that her husband would be looking for her . She clearly wants out of his place before it get worse. And when murtasim enters he already looking at her with dus belief and distrust so any word by her at that time would make her worth less so choose to be silent was the best option she don't want him to be murderer and when he dragged her out ,outside she pushed his hand away and give him deadly stare for not trusting her. Very well written ,executed and directed . Plus don't say meerab knows everything as this is viewer who can see both side a character can't.
And at the end she wants to clear that misunderstanding.

i think the dargah scene was the pivotal moment he started feeling for her, it more like an understanding and the conversation that followed after it about her agreeing the marriage and he asked her why and she said she doesn't hate him anymore, he started to soften up. in my opinion his love started more as an infatuation rather than feelings and this infatuation started on the walima when he thought she looked beautiful, it started more of as a physical attraction and him wanting to "be" with her and want her to accept him but then it gradually turned into actual love.

The writer seems to allude to the fact that he began to have emotions after he slapped her and had deep remorse, then it got more entrenched as he true to character became empathetic towards her and her plight, and felt the need to protect her!

I think Murtasim showed more aggression and tried shooting malik zubair last time bcoz he knew Meerab was kidnapped and was so distressed by it and had been pleading for help.
However, this time he is not sure whether she went to Rohail's apartment on her own and she did not appear to be in any distress. He is angry on Rohail as well as disappointed with Meerab.

the exact moment where murtasim saw meerab as a stunning young woman & not the annoying girl he knew since childhood whom he would bicker with was when she was praying at the darga and from there on it kept increasing. he was mesmerised to the point he was surprised & looked away but couldn’t stop himself glancing again #terebin

I feel the fast pace of the drama and writers love for her male lead is impacting the dialogues and inconsistencies in meerabs character. Their whole agenda was to show a non toxic lovable husband, son and human irrespective of feudal background whom girls fall in love with in a pak drama.

#hassan Murtasim not only confessed his love infront of anwar chacha and maa begum but also infront of meerub. When meerab saw him with haya in gaun and they were having the heated argument, there he said "I love you" and meerub cuts him off saying "no, you don't." Also, murtasim started falling in love when he took meerub to karachi and her parents did not open the door and there he said "tm mere ghar chalo." Then when she stops to pray, he rasies his hands to pray for meerub.

I as a woman think if a total stranger would hav done wht rohail did to me i would consider it a red flag and not go, but if a friend of mine wants to talk to me for sometime i might consider accompanying him to hear him out, especially if he was a harmless friend from my past...
Murtasim getting angry with Meerub to absurd for me( though it makes sense coz of his feudalistic background) as she had told him what had happened but he in his ego and disbelief didnt even consider wt she said instead made it look like she was lying to him, whereas in his own case when he was caught physically touching beHaya( in a much compromised state then Meerub was in) Meerub believed his explanation and trusted him. My take is if Murtasim remains upset or continues to dwell on the fact that Meerub is lying to him regsrding Rohail and continues to mistreat her or asks her to jump for this reason then he has fallen from grace and lost the first true trust test of his marriage, whereas Meerub passed it...

Why do people expect the female lead to fall for the hero just because he has softened towards her, mehak got the bashing for not falling for shamsher when he was repenting and meerub is getting the hate for not reciprocating murtasim's love, you guys don't know girls or simply don't care about them. A girl is the greatest rebel when she is compelled to do something against her will, a girl might be married to the handsomest and kindest man who is blindly in love with her and still resent him for coming into her life against her will!!!! You simply cannot force a situation on meerub and expect her to be okay with it just because murtasim loves her!!it's his problem not hers. If he loves her so much why hasn't he realised that she needs a friend in the haveli, she has no one to talk to......why can't he initiate a friendship between them instead of expecting her to become his wife directly!???not once has he said this!!! She is not obligated to love him until and unless she wants to. Everybody should just backoff!!!
Also why did murtasim go looking for her if she went somewhere??what kind of controlling behaviour is that??she is in a city where she has spent her whole life in, why can't she go anywhere without informing??? Let poor meerub breath!!!all her relations are suffocating her.......

It will definitely hit . Both are so cute .❤.

TB: firstly, the fact that I absolutely love yumna is what making me bear meerub coz at times she really pisses me off.
So before people start calling me pro murtasim, just wanna clarify that when murtasim took haya along with him (knowing that meerub doesn't like it) was wrong too.
Here in meerub's case, she's being so STUPID...NO sane girl would do what meeub did. Rohail forcibly takes her with him and she goes, rohail takes her phone and she is not much bothered, and he actually takes her to his flat and she goes/doesn't resist. 👏👏
Why can't she give a shut up call to that idiot rohail.
When haya questioned meerub about the contract before the family, murtasim took stand for her and clearly gave a shut up call to her but when rohail was suggesting meerub as how she can leave her husband she kept a mum. That guy literally told meerub to call murtasim an impotent and leave him and what meerub replied to him was "main kaise chodun usse, woh Mera shohar hai, main kya krun, etc etc.
For a few second I literally hated meerub. When murtasim was dragging her from rohail's house she took her hand out from him, if she could do this with murtasim then why did she let rohail drag her physically.
Meerub's character is so poorly written, it is asinine. If she really wants out of the marriage, why isn't she leaving? And if she doesn't want to leave murtasim then say it. She's being shown really confused. A girl who can take stand for other women can't do the same for herself.
In all honesty I find Meerab’s character so lame. Some scenes with Rohail were too unrealistic and unbearable.
About murtasim, I think that He’s disappointed, she didn’t defend him and their relationship before rohail like he does all the time. And she’s shown to be a firebrand who stands for things she believes in.
But have to say murtasim mei bohot patience hai...meri toh khatam ho gyi thi😅
It's only my love for yumna that keeps trying to defend meerub's actions with what had happened with her, otherwise the writer has literally written this drama in an anti-meerub mode.
There is a difference in convincing the audience subtly and manipulating them forcibly about certain things in Tere Bin. Sadly, in Meerab’s case, one is being manipulated into taking Murtasim’s side.

Why should Meerub stay with Murtasim. Because he loves her and we love him?I think Meerub is getting so much flak cuz she is refusing to fall madly in love with Murtasim and give up her dreams. The Rohail episode was badly done, I agree, but where can Meerub go?Will anyone including her Foster parents support her move if she decides to leave Murtasim. He'll probably drag her back. She's his till qayamat! Why does he not sit down with her and ask her what she wants instead of suffocating her in His castle.

I love your reviews if Tere Bin and look forward to them every week as part of my Tere Bin weekly cycle! However, and please take this as constructive feedback, it’s a little bothersome when you guys can’t remember timeline of events or certain details of scenes that you discuss, it breaks the link throughout your discussion. Especially when Aamna has two pages worth of notes on the episodes 😂 discussions are entertaining and definitely sometimes give a different perspective, but sometimes you both get stuck on minute details and end up skipping over the major ones.

It rubbed me the wrong way when you guys were insinuating that maybe Yumna didn’t care as much as Wahaj on character building. I know you probably didn’t mean badly, but I think Yumna is very vocal as an actor, she actually read the entire script before saying yes which means she did her homework. It’s okay to not agree with an actors approach, but why say something like that without knowing the actors process.
