I needed to make a coat rack for the hall - now, I could have just bought some metal coat hooks and screwed them to a flat board, but I had an idea for something a bit more interesting...
Do you have tree of heaven(Ailanthus altissima) by you? It has upright curving branches that might be nice to work with...if you ever attempted something like this again.
And yet, oddly, I don't feel even slightly inclined to murder anyone with it. Yes, it's legal to own - and clearly I have a need for it,. so why shouldn't I have it and use it? You're seeing me using it to cut wood, in my own garden here. Maybe calm down a bit? I have knives in the kitchen that are way more scary than this little pocket knife. The electric drill you see me use in this video is more dangerous. Flick knives and switchblades are illegal to own in the UK; most other knives are legal to own and use in non-public places. Anything with a non-locking blade under 3 inches long is OK for general carry in public; most other knives are OK to carry in public, if you have a 'good reason' to do so (Of course I'd be in trouble if I tried to board a flight with this in my pocket, and I could be in trouble if it was found on my person in a search at a public venue, etc).
@@AtomicShrimp That saddens me. Thankfully I have your videos to cheer me back up again! Great 'customer service' by the way, I reacted to a five year old comment and you responded in five minutes!
Thanks RUclips for the recommendation, thought this was a new video
Appreciated the jazz interludes 👍🏼
Watching this in 2020! Recently discovered your gem of a channel! Totally love this content & this piece of Natural Art❤
Looking good. Nice to hear Eva in the back round, love your little dog.
I always think I have watched all your videos, but the YT algorithm still finds and recommends me a new one.

Snazzy socks my g
"I'm pretty sure you're not meant to do this." I want that on a t-shirt!
Scratch that. I want "It's impossible to get this exactly right so might as well get it deliberately wrong" on a t-shirt.
Tbis is a great idea! How do you even think up all these things to make? This looks fantastic!
Lynda Hayes thanks! In this case economy was the inspiration. It's amazing what you can dream up when you hate spending money!
This is very impressive! Some companies would easily charge you £200-£400 for something like this! I think I'll try making my own

For people who are as impatient as I-you can dry small pieces of wood in your microwave oven.
Are you legally allowed to own a blade like that in the UK? Seems very scary to see you using that murder device.

@@AtomicShrimp A bit late, but I think OP was joking. Nobody would seriously call that a ''murder device''.
@@grootsChannel you never can tell. I get people asking me why I'm trespassing when I cross farmland on ancient public rights of way
