Awsome!!!!!! I hope I can find this new album in the states! Glen is one of main reasons why I wanted to get into music,Glens and Steves sound together was and is still brilliant. Where's Ray McVeigh? I thought he was in the Philistines with Glen.
I'm just finishing reading "Triggers" Glen's book. I have to say it's a fabulous read! The post Sex Pistols part of the book is the most interesting. I thought I owed it to Glen and myself to check out his music. I'm not disappointed, having lost a close friend myself this year and not getting an younger myself "Born Running" is so poignant. Thanks Glen! (even though you'll never read this) :)
Face The New FACES: Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) on bass; Ron Wood (Rolling Stones) on lead guitar; Mick Hucknall (Simply Red) on vocals; Ian McLagan on rythm guitar; Kenney Jones on drums. CONGRATULATIONS TO GLEN MATLOCK! That's his talent and his value being honored by the other Rock Legends.
• Sex Pistol days: Glen grounded the Sex Pistols. He helped conceive just about every song on Never Mind The Bollocks cept Holidays and Bodies. He wrote most of their first destinctive Sex Pistols song Pretty Vacant helping to forge their identity in the beginning. Chris Thomas feels that Steve Jones' "pansa division" bass sound was great so you have to listen to the Dave Goodman demos to hear Glen's driving bass runs.
Excellent song , one of many true rock n roll classics , Truth !! ... when I think of Radio Birdman , New York Dolls & The Damned's respective reunited offerings of Kingship I can't help but wonder why ?!?! ... a stupid shame . Also , speaking with Glen in St. Catharines with The Sadies was an awesome treat - a true gentlemen , an Ace Bloke haha
GLEN = GREAT! That's the TRUE HERO who created the Sex Pistols Classics and made the Punk Music Great: God Bless Glen Matlock! He IS the Sex Pistols. Period. "Pretty Vacant", had a complete lyric by Glen Matlock, which Johnny Rotten tweaked a bit); official credit was shared equally among the four. Never Mind the Other Pistols --- Glen is my Hero! I'm reading a bit of Glen Matlock's book : "I Was a Teenage Sex Pistol" --- it's AWESOME! Best Punk Music Writer Ever.
Absolutely !! ... people know , anyone with a mind that is ... funny thing is Sid could have been a great frontman singer had he had it in him & he did just not in his own thinking , confidence & willpower ... tragic
@Hacker73 Bollocks.! Being honoured by other "Rock Legends" ..Mick Hucknall.?? God help us all.!!......, who gives as toss about them Punk was about destroying these idols and doing your own thing.....matlock was too arty for the Pistols and still is..!

Top-Song! Glen rules! He wrote most of the pistols-songs. I often think about, what happened, if he didn'n left the pistols.
No, he wrote the music for some of the songs. Johnny wrote 90% of the lyrics

God Save Glen Matlock!
He should audition for "New Tricks"...
This could have been a great Sex Pistols song - If only they respected Glen more this could have been a massive 'new' Pistols hit!
