@@RealBigBadJohnI’ve done some poking around tonight and appears marzetti makes an “original cole slaw dressing” and a “southern style cole slaw dressing”. Possibly without mayo, but we will know as soon as we get our hands on some. Have you ever seen marzetti original slaw dressing anywhere?
@@georgiabigfoot Yes, I buy Marzetti Original at Walmart and Publix all the time. It's available in refrigerated and shelf-stable versions. I never knew they made a Southern-style slaw dressing. I'll have to look for it.
Thanks for watching , those are Oscar Mayer all beef and weigh 42 grams for the franks which is a bit higher than what the varsity uses which are 35 gram franks. It’s very hard to find wieners as small as the varsity’s, but as you know the V’s meat to bun to chili ratio is quite delightful albeit small. Maybe what I should do is start weighing franks and buns and find the retail percentage equivalent of what the varsiry uses based on percentage and not weight.

@@gallardo360 excellent. This is a great tip. We’re closing in on some varsity items. For decades I have tinkered with their onion ring recipe, so close, yet always off on something. 2 months ago I was at the kennesaw varsity having lunch when a US Foods truck pulled up making deliveries and wheeled in 25 giant boxes of plain croutons. Big 3 ft x 3 ft crouton boxes. I mentioned this to a chef friend familiar with the varsity and their opinion is they could be crushed for onion ring batter. Any thoughts ?
I want The Varsity's coleslaw recipe. Badly.
