Hearing this reminds me of their freshman year. How the team clicked and was so dominant with three freshmen starters along side Ty Harris and Mad Ke-Ke. These girls would already be two-time National Champs if the covid pandemic didn’t shorten their season. They should make a movie about the 2019-2020 women’s gamecocks.
I’m from northeast Ohio and one of my uncles is a family friend of Zia Cooke’s family. I literally started watching womens basketball because of that freshman class and really only followed SC. Tbh now that they’re leaving I’ll probably stop watching but it was definitely a special few years. That Covid year was so disappointing no one was gonna beat them
@@lilflasheyc Zia Cooke is the reason I started watching women’s college basketball. I tuned in to Brittney Griner ,Sophia young and A’ja Wilson But Zia Cooke is the reason I love women’s college basketball. I haven’t missed a game yet. I believe Zia Cooke has the potential to be the best or one of the best women’s basketball players of all-time.
Beautiful a statue for all 5 freshees!!!!! Ya will be missed its been a joy to watch ya over these last 4 years now finish the job (championships).
