  • This video demonstrates what Crawl Control can do for you when you are stuck in soft sand. In this demonstration, I am lowered to 15 PSI on 35" tires. This is all done on purpose to show Crawl Control's capabilities. Big shoutout to @turb_braptor for taking the video! Go check out his channel!

Nice to see this being demonstrated more and more. The original Toyota debut of this left a lot of people thinking it was a gimmick. When I bought my TRD 4R, I went right to the beach and did exactly this as well. So many thought you only could go in reverse, so I proved what you just did, CC don't care what direction. I had my rig down to the frame all alone on the beach and was 100% confident it would walk itself out. Incredible machine. Too bad there are still so many people that don't get what is going on. "Air down the tires" "use max tracks" etc etc. The point is, with CC, you don't have to do any of that. That is what I love about it. Stock factory tires(not mud/sand or snow tires)will do this all day long fully aired up. :)

"Pulse Drive Technology", a term that I coined in High School. When I started hanging with all the big truck guys, I noticed that they would always utilize a technique still used today. No, no brakes are used. You are literally straddling the line between using momentum and forward drive in conjunction to achieve forward progress. It made perfect sense to me at 16. So I joked around about having an automated drive feature to pulse the throttle at varying rates via a live data feed to the ecu. Never pursued it.
