What a wonderful car. I look at cars like that, even with over 300,000 miles, and I'm like "please try to save it". The 126 cars were "forever cars" and were designed to be fixed infinitely not thrown away. I love this channel because Vito sees the value and mistreatment of these vintage Mercedes like I do.

The blue tarp seemed to have protected the paintwork, which did not look corroded, except for the hood. Fuses on the other hand are often corroded on MB.
That’s a crazy name😀 and the paint isn’t too horrible. I put grease on the spot of the hood because it had surface rust. I’ll fix it properly soon

if the car has been sitting for a long time, the white smoke might be normal....if it clears after 10-15 minutes of idling
Maybe. The car wasn’t loved, the oil is all black.. She will live though
Vito, what on earth is that buzzing noise before you start it. It doesn't happen on my UK W126. That noise would drive me nuts!
You mean the buzzer that lasts a few seconds? That’s normal, they all have that type of buzzer when you turn the Key ON
I don’t mind it. I actually like that buzzer
LOL, my Calif. '85 300D tic-toks for 30 seconds if you open any door.
As far as i know it's because of US Law and all cars must have a signal like that. i'm glad my german 420SE didn't have this, too.
