  • This video is a playback of an internal, team-wide presentation we did this week at Thinkmill. We took the team through our journey of building the new Thinkmill website with a hyper-iterative process.
Everything from content, design, to copywriting and code, evolved in parallel streams. This presents a set of challenges, and we wanted to share our journey with everyone interested!

I'm a bit late to this but I absolutely ENJOYED this video Simon, Super valuable content to understand and learn the process of publishing a website at a professional level.

Absolutely loved this video Simon. More content like this would not hurt at all!. I found this really insightful, clarity-inducing and, most importantly, USEFUL. Thanks so much for putting the effort in.
I'm in the process of building a small agency as a self-taught designer/developer, so the ins and outs of a project like this are incredibly insightful. Loved the beginning bits about planning content, and using a table to sort of plan out how it may sit inside of a CMS or whatever system you decide on. I will definitely ATTEMPT to do this in my future projects.
    Thanks!!

That's amazing to hear! I thought this presentation may be interesting outside Thinkmill as well!

"Tailwind is easy to change things and abstract later". That's a key statement that I'm glad the Tailwind folks are starting to make; classic CSS starts with abstractions, Tailwind finishes with them.

Love that. It was definitely challenging to appease folks on the team used to make early abstractions. Get them to stay in "prototype mode" until we know what we're building.

Could you make some projects with Tailwind on your channel?

    • @simonswiss

Like, building a project from scratch with Tailwind, or recreating a popular UI with Tailwind?

I'm surprised that Keystone wasn't the immediate go to CMS.

Awesome. Glad you enjoyed it! Keystone was definitely considered but a mix of astro and MDX files ended up working so well... at least for the initial launch! We will see if KS makes its way in later on 👀
