Don may be encountering someone she knew in her life as a Bloodfiend... but since her memories of being one are sealed behind Rocinante, she doesn't remember them. Also treating her shoes like a living being is something that Don just... does. It's part of her silliness.
The ego appears to be from the MD event abno who's name in the files is 400 roses. It's the giant blood sucking flower that gives the ego gift Carmila if you break the dam holding blood

I still can't get over how big of an Impact 400 roses Don has made. I've seen people be down bad over Middle Don and Contempt, Awe Ryoshu. But This Don has got peoplr on a whole knew level of down bad Also there's a chance Don was just talking to her shoes.bcause she does talk to them already a few times, kinda
2:15 I'm going more so with the "real" name of Don being "Quijada", as on the book, that was the name of the original person before he named himself "Don Quijote" I dont see a reason why they should go with Man of La Mancha, specially as Quijada, was also from La Mancha
