Hi, Phil. Great update, as is your habit. Wouldn’t change anything you are doing. There’s a place for all sorts of clip makers, from detailed descriptions of big projects, well researched historical treatises, people inviting debate about issues (very brave with cranky old responders like me around), and plenty of people learning the craft and getting better and better at it. Yours are always so frequent, well paced, well informed, and in a wholly natural style. It’s like having a mate who sends out regular “Hey, have a look at this” clips. I always look forward to them. Sheer gold. No need to change a thing. Oh, and as for a possible name change to STV, whatever floats your boat.
Went to Central on Wednesday afternoon and saw that they were putting up the overhead. I came back yesterday afternoon and saw that the overhead is now up on platforms 12 & 14 and they were under way putting the overhead up on platform 13
Hi a.... It's been such a long time since I've seen Central... So, thanks for the update... Just one question... Why didn't they completely remove the unused third rail line between lines 8 and 9... Did they run out of money, or was it just the Ozzie thing... Couldn't be bothered...
Its a rail between platform 9 ( which the presenter is on ) and 10, which is still closed ( as you can see from the barricades at the stairway entrance early in the video and various bits of tape on the platform ) . One might infer from the closed state of platform that construction work, including taking up the redundant rails is not yet complete.
it allows 10 car D sets which are 203m long, compared to the 8 car V sets 192m length compensating for the platforms getting shortened due to the northern concourse expansion cleaning up some parts of the yard and allowing for better flow better drainage in the dive some random improvements to signalling, overhead wires and what not

That weird jaguar introduction needs to go.
Hmmm. Maybe a close up of his coffee being made, with an image of a train, tracks or lollipop sign being created by the barista across the froth.
Great Video Phil.
Coffee, check. Central update, check! Cheers, Phil
Hahaha cheers mate! :)

I filmed at every single light rail station today between westmead and Carlingford
Well done! :)
@@sydneytrainsvlogs thank you
I caught it from Dundas to Parramatta today to go to the guitar shop. Turns out the station is right at the front door 😊
@AbitLippy cool
seeing Central be so empty is something so unreal to me, maybe i should explore train stations in early/late hours, sounds peaceful
off topic: sydney central would make a nice quake map. :)
Well they renovate the old concourse passageway?
I've a request for a vid, travel to the stations that each letter for Christmas aligns to, eg C-Central and film update, H-Holsworthy, etc
The western end platform underpasses need to connect to the big open area.
