Timelapse - Basement works

Kapitol Group was awarded the contract to build a residential educational facility for Church Missionary Society - Australia at their inner-city campus. This timelapse shows the works completed at the basement level.

I had to chuckle when things got wet and everything turned into mud. I worked jobs in Seattle and we never quit for rain. I invented some colorful names for the mud.

Thanks for an awesome vid. May I ask, what is the purpose of the deeper excavation and pad towards the back of the basement? Is this for an elevator shaft? Many thanks.

Thank you. The red/orange tanks are sewer pump tanks. The grey tank is a rainwater tank for use on the project, such as irrigating gardens.

Hi, the basement is a non-hydrostatic piled retention system. It uses bored piers, a capping beam and shotcrete infill walls as the earth retention system.
