  • Kapitol Group was awarded the contract to build a residential educational facility for Church Missionary Society - Australia at their inner-city campus. This timelapse shows the works completed at the basement level.

    I had to chuckle when things got wet and everything turned into mud. I worked jobs in Seattle and we never quit for rain. I invented some colorful names for the mud.

    Thanks for an awesome vid. May I ask, what is the purpose of the deeper excavation and pad towards the back of the basement? Is this for an elevator shaft? Many thanks.

    Great job, what are those red and grey buried tanks shown in timelapse video used for?

      Thank you. The red/orange tanks are sewer pump tanks. The grey tank is a rainwater tank for use on the project, such as irrigating gardens.

      Hi, the basement is a non-hydrostatic piled retention system. It uses bored piers, a capping beam and shotcrete infill walls as the earth retention system.
