The Summit on the Summit and Big Red Nose Climb have increased the popularity for climbing Kilimanjaro in the USA and UK, respectively. Many people were inspired by seeing these celebrities on the mountain. Anyone can climb Kilimanjaro!
Thanks soooo much, i'm so excited to see it all - that was funny when chris says wish he could say three days, feels like 12 hours, but it's 40 minutes! :D
Actually, Kilimanjaro is not the toughest mountain in Africa. It's summit can be accessed only by walking. No technical climbing is required as on some other peaks on the continent. It's still a nice mountain to climb.
I would advise you definitely start out by doing it because it will give you that high altitude experience and its very doable. For K2 you should work more on technical climbing and learn more about rope handling and ice climbing. K2 is more of a high altitude endurance climb and you don't need so much knowledge on technical climbing if you are guided but aim to do Kilimanjaro then upgrade to technical peaks of the same altitude. Mt Kenya 5199m is perfect though its more technical I think its worth considering
@lovee3x i think she was having a blood test, i only say this because that's exactly the same reaction i have when i go for a blood test!....Cheryl is too funny!

Is it good to train for k2 summit for someone who never climbed a mountain, most I do is hike on trails?
