Impressive how every single cast member gave a profound and well-thought out answer to what the movie is about. They knew exactly what they were making.
First time I watched The Matrix I was stoned , it literally blew my mind wide open and I realised that we are actually living in the matrix , ever since then I've been walking the opposite way through the city streets like Neo and Morpheus .
The first Matrix is an unquestionable masterpiece. A prophetic work of art that served as a warning for the challenges humanity will face in the digital age.
I think to really enjoy a movie, you have to have to be in the right situation. You can watch the greatest movie ever, but if your not in the moment you won't get the most out of it. When i watched the Matrix, it was the perfect storm for me. I was at a boarding school, zero troubles in my life, just really soaking up the world. I went to the cinemas, as usual stopping of to get high before going. We got to the cinema, I was super baked, and there was nothing on. All the movies looked like shit, but there was this one movie that had the letter 'X' in it, and we were like, "well, everything is shit. Lets just watch that one." We walked out of the cinema like we were actually in the Matrix. When you get that feeling from watching a movie, it becomes like a drug. I've been chasing that dragon for years. The closest I've ever come to that type of emersion was Mad Max Fury Road.
@@gaozhi2007 we would sit right up the front. Like three seats back from the front so the entire screen is in our vision. Me and one friend. Soon as Trinity was introduced sitting in that room with the phone at the start, I was completely engaged. When Neo touched the mirror after taking the red pill the hairs on my arms never came down till the end. I grew up in a tiny town that had no cinema. So just going to any movie was a major trip. I remember as soon as I got out of my chair at the credits, i thought, it's totally possible we are in a computer simulation. Which as current simulation theory's show. Going down the escalators and walking outside the mall we said nothing to each other. We were both just still tripping out on this random movie we'd never heard about before walking into it. Best movie ever.
okay i’m definitely late to watching this but as soon as i watched the first movie i could wait to watch the rest! i have now watched them all and my love for this movie has gotten stronger
pretty sure they didnt even want to make it. All those references to the "game studio" being bought out and the new owners forcing sequels sounds like a direct jab at warner brothers.
The Matrix (1999) is one of the most greatest science fiction movies of all time. It really identifies and analyzes the boundaries of perception and perspective between reality and fiction. It was something new, fresh, unique, inventive, stylish, cool, edgy, hip, and updated such as the concept and theme. The story, performance's, music, action sequences, special effects, images, direction, and cinematography was spectacular and phenomenal. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old. 😍😎💯👍
When they refer to the fighting scenes I believe dragon ball z is an obvious draw of inspiration , there’s literally some scenes that are 1 for 1 copies of dbz scenes (not that that takes away from the matrix scenes at all)
Lol does anyone really believe that the Wachowski "Brothers" intended this to be a "trans narrative" after watching this full BTS? They're so full of it.
Is this was released before the movie it had some serious spoilers 🤣 Cypher basically telling us he'll turn bad and the worst was showing Smith blowing up at the end 🤣
I don't think someone would watch a video called "making of the matrix" without actually seeing the movie called "the matrix" first. Then again people are mouth breathing, vacuous morons so maybe it did spoil it for a few people.
This film was beyond cinema but one of the most important works in history
I can’t believe this film is over 20 years old. Where did the time go?
In the Matrix... ;)
Time is just an illusion Mrs Billano. A mere gimmick of perception.

I love the footage of the actual martial arts fighters and how similar the actors replicated it...just beautiful work alltogether!

There will never be another movie like this

It's a nice felling they talk aboy the movie with no clue that will be the milestone in cinema or even in spirituality.

3:11 back in the day when anime was referred to as 'Japanimation' in the US. Dang this movie is old.
Maybe it's old but it never aged
I think the Japananimation they were talking about was ghost in the shell I think.
But still one of the best sci fi movies everrr, i saw this in theaters n had no idea what was happening for the first thirty minutes and then BOOOM!
Yeah I was 15 and all I expected was to enjoy the film. Blew me away.

Depending on how that movie goes, it might have been a good idea for him.
@@pjbpiano you're right, I trust if he's not back it's got more to do with a weak script, he seemed to like playing morpheus alot

Matrix was a really heavy movie for the 1999 !
This movie is forever the king of the Matrix. Unfortunately the latest Matrix doesn't hold a candle to it, despite being made 20 years later.
