- This is my 20 Gallon Planted aquarium. It's housing a pair of German Blue Rams. 3 Albino Corydoras. 6 new Emerald Green Corydoras. 1 Rubber nose pleco. 3 Cherry Barbs. Water Sprite plant. Amazon sword plant. Drift wood. Rocks. Seachem Eco complete substrate black. Lucky bamboo in the filter. Low light planted setup. All the fish and plants is recommended for beginners. This video will break down what's going on inside and names of everyone. Corydoras are the best clean up crew for any community fish aquarium. Their non aggressive towards tank mates and tank mates should be peaceful as well to thrive. They school and are indeed very active. They are must active when the sun is out so you get a lot of enjoyment watching them look for food. Although they scavenger fish. They still need a staple diet of good protein etc. they lay eggs on the glass when spawning. And the eggs hatch in 3 days. They will spawn with frequent water changes and good diet. Hot temperatures around 81 degrees. Well that's enough rambling so let's watch the video all the way through. Don't miss out on the feed and the fast swimming

DNA malawi cichlid hub oh yes I subbed you up soon as I found you lol
thanks for the video, I was wondering how my 1 albino cory will do with 4 emeralds... this gave me confidence
Oh yes just fine lol
Just keep in mind that the group the Corys need to thrive in should be a group of the same species. They'll certainly get along with other species of Cory, but the group factor really only comes into play when it's with their own. So for example you should ideally have at least 6 greens and 6 albinos if you're going to have both types. Also keep in mind that the bigger the group, the better they do as well. So from the fishes' perspective, it's much better to have 12 greens or 12 albinos than 6 of each. It's fun from the fish keeper's perspective too because as the same species groups get larger, you can see the behavior and the dynamic of the individuals change greatly too.
Got the headline news poppin haha 😂😂. Dope tank man.
Dank Tanks haha yes it was Breaking News today in the Tropical waters haha. Thanks a lot Dank!

DWSDARIUS FISH TANKS aww man thanks a lot DWS you made my day! im sure its hard to get around to all your subscribers but dude these rams is partially because of you' lol. seen them videos buddy' _ looking sweet over in the 60 gallon
Its a nice planted tank i appreciate the natural materials , i also have emerald corys and i recently switched them to a 20 long with fluval stratum and sand and iv noticed a big difference in behavior then when i used that similar style gravel . They have sensitive barbells so they tend to dig deeper and easier in sand . It looks pretty hilarious when they decide to try and dig to the bottom of the tank lol
tacocommander1234 thank you and that’s awesome thanks for sharing
nice to see when people are having fun in the hobby and trying new things. great video.
Thanks a lot. I'm having more fun with this tank than I thought I would. Even looking forward to having a 75 gallon with a community one day it's so relaxing
Great video, very informative, I love the info-bites they help keep my attention lol. Although I like the victorious music, it sometimes made it hard to hear you. Try turning the triumph down 😁

Deon 0026 for sure im just getting into the hobby now but after i get everything set up i plan on doing atleast one video
Awesome man... though in my opinion Corys do best in schools of at least 5? And since this is what your wife picked out... I don't think she would mind if you added 2 more to those emerald green cories? And that white seamed plant is Dracaena... not an aquarium plant tbh but somehow its sold as one.
Thanks a lot your very kind and I thank you for your tip I went back and got some more bro. It's 6 emerald green corydoras and 3 Albino since the 4th died the second day what a bummer. I will get another albino when I find on to make it a even 4 or grab two like you recommend to have 5 a group
No problem bro. Always happy to help.

That makes the 2 of us! Thanks a lot. The way they hang together is adorable
Yes they definitely enjoy their friends
it's looking great and the new green corydoras are so nice, I have 7 of them in my 29 gallon!👍
Super Water Aquatics heck yes I love them after this video I went and got 4 more I think lol
No hate, but that gravel is way to rough on their barbells, they need sand instead. Btw you can get black sand
ATP Wizz yes
What type of substrate is this? Your description says black eco-complete by seachem, but the eco-complete I know is made by Caribe Sea.
Jerry Jenkins oh ok lol
Your aquarium looks great with the Emerald Green Corydoras. I've got a 40 Gallon tank with a mix of about 25 cory`s (4 kinds). I've just bought 3 juvenile Emerald Green Corydoras, I'm hoping they will settle in with my others. Good Luck with your aquarium.
terrytaz1967 What would you recommend the emerald or albino? lol. I’m thinking about getting some too. But I’m leaning on albino.
20 gallon is looking good buddy tell your wife happy birthday
Thanks a lot she said thank you so much!
with the amount of fish you and I have we could open up a fish museum. Lol nice video Deon
rob sool haha that's for sure wait until I move it's really going be some more fish all types
glad to see ur planted tank doing great! Cory's r awesome! I haven't had any for a few now. last ones I had were dwarf Cory's. only got like maybe a lil over an inch full grown. they were sweet as hell! ur male ram will get some serious red and orange in the face. makes then look unbelievable! Ima post a pic of what my old one looked like. once u get them breeding, they will breed like Catholic rabbits, lol.
awesome tank dude! love how all the corys school togeather. your fish may go after the mini blood worms better since they have small mouths.
Thanks a lot I will see if I can find some any smaller these are the frozen cubes I seen at the store.
Rocking those corys I see...u should get a emerald Cory cat...their the largest of all Cory catfish
Dante's Wildlife Yes these and the Emerald Green Corydoras I here they can get up to 3 inches. I have the white and Emerald that's what your looking at. Thanks a lot buddy
I have 4 of the green/bronze and 2 of the albino corydoras. I think they may be my favorite fish.
Elizabeth Birckett - Lozano sweet I swear their become a favorite.
Beautiful tank bro. Is your tank a 20 long?
You may want to add about one or two pounds of sand in the courner of the tank. The rams will breed in that
FishPerson Vblogs oh you my boy! im goingbto do that asap! Thanks for the tip
Deon 0026 Anytime!
Thanks for telling me that they like the blood worms I have a gold fish and a emerald catfish
oh cool i have some the emerald cory there amazing and nice video bro
Josh aquatics thanks a lot brother! I got to say they are not boring. They swim and play so hard I love them. Nice channel I left you a sub
thanks man i love you channel it amazing you make some of the best vids
Josh aquatics man a lot of love thank you so much for your kind words!
Great job on your wife's Birthday present! Was she as excited about them as you are in the video?
Ricky Kenerly Cichlids haha she likes them a lot but she hasnt even been back over to see them in the tank i dont think lol
Well say Happy Birthday to her from me!!!
Great video, you've diff up your production, but beware of those 2 plants with the browner roots in your tank (best way to point out the 2 I'm try'n to point out), they are a type of ribbon plant, and are "semi-aquatic", they grow on river banks, but fully submerged will slowly melt back, and raising your ammonia levels.
Thanks a lot you are so kind and helpful. I'm enjoying this new venture in the hobby. And the tip with those plants having be taking to consideration I removed them thanks a lot. It's a shame the pet store will sell you anything
Deon 0026 I agree! Petsmart sold me the ones I bought when I decided to give live plants a try, but after that I went and picked up, " mini encyclopedia of aquarium plants" by Peter Hiscock, but that helped me a great deal in picking plants with demands I knew I could meet, and stop wasting my money. But happy to help, and keep up the great work!
I love corydoras any type of catfish are good i used to have a 2ft red tail catfish 👍
Lee and Mandy Battersby Wow thats huge, i really like catfish a lot now, and, these being so small lets me have a bunch!
Yes they look impressive when there a bunch of them
Lee and Mandy Battersby and super active ' after this video i bought 3 more Emerald Cory cats
I bought two green corys today. Im gonna get like 5 more when I get paid so they will school together.
You should put sand over your gravel. Corys love sand.
Tell your wife Fishperson says Happy Birthday!
FishPerson Vblogs i sure will she'll be happy!
Sorry if I missed it if you said it, but what's the substrate you use? I'm planning on getting 6 cories and I want the tank I'm getting to be planted! Also I'm adding around 10-12 zebra danios and 3 male platies, how should I add them? When I get them, should I add the cories, danios, or platies first? How many should I add at first? Let's say I put the cories first, should I add all six or add 3 then later add the other three? Also how far apart should I add them, a week, two weeks, etc. Sorry for asking so much! I'm new to the fish keeping hobby and I want my fish to have the best life they can!
once my new RESCAPE is done I'm gonna get more corys so I have about 8-10
JJ Aquariums man I understand after I made this video I went back and got 4 more I think it's 9 total they schooling now it's extremely fun to watch
Deon 0026 and its pretty cute bc at night they usually sleep all together
JJ Aquariums yes they sleep at night and super active during the day it's so cutr
hi great looking tank! how do you like the eco complete? I'm almost ready to start my 1st planted tank. will be a 20 gal long w some glofish tetra, neons, few guppies. and want to get some cory cats. is the eco complete safe on the cory's barbells?
Kevin Rosenberg heyyyy brother I love it sorry for late response I had no clue a comment was left good luck to you man
Yes Corydoras doing fine with substrate I know people recommend sand
It's hard to see everything in your tank, I would put in a small flat rock on the ground with something over it so it's kind of like a cave with a flat bottom, that's what my rams laid eggs on. They're probably not caring about eating too much if they're looking for a place to lay eggs. Seeing as how their color looks so nice I'd say they're doing fine.
JDO Fishtank thanks a lot bro for the tip! Definitely looking into getting a hammer on my slate to break down to sizeable piece for this tank' i believe its slate rock i have' they look like their in love swimming together all day he's a little pushy on her also but he knows shes a lady it seems lol
what substrate are you using? Happen to be Eco-Complete?
Srsly man wtf is up with this horrible music in the background... At least lower it’s volume while you speak
