I'd have certainly added the Machars section between Newton Stewart and Stranraer. The road down to Wigtown, Whithorn, Isle of Whithorn and Port William along the coast is a very attractive and scenic run. A few of the nice things about Dumfries and Galloway, along from the scenery, is that it's fairly quiet even in peak holiday seasons, and you'll find the locals generally pretty friendly and helpful.

I have just spent the last five days in this area: stopped at New England Bay and Caerlaverock plus three Forestry Scotland Stay the nights as the main purpose of the trip was to take my grandson mountain biking on three of the 7 stanes bike trails. All park ups were fantastic and excellent value. We also went to the lighthouse at Mull of Galloway.. Liked the look of the Airfield very much: next time. This is a fantastic part of Scotland and there are other great park ups I have been to in the past. Try the beach Car park by St Medans Golf club. Although given Andrew's nervousness about driving to the lighthouse, he may find the toad down overintimidating😝. Metal Bridge Inn is also a great one night stopover. The pub was heaving when we stayed over and as you say decent food at a good price. The old bridge is gone but the pub used to be on the main road to Scotland: now the motorway thunders past a few yards away. Thanks for another great vlog.

The parts where we talk to the camera is via Jane’s iPhone XR, we sometimes add external mic to that, which are basic ones (£30) from eBay, the more close up video/photos of wildlife and macro stuff is via Andrew’s Canon R7 mirrorless camera with a range of lenses.
