PERFECT casting! So much chemistry between these two, very charming to say the least. But Regula... She is such a delightful singer with angelic coloratura soprano, but also a phenomenal actress as we can see in this scene and in general. She really sells excitement and shyness, especially in first part. Absolutely my favorite soprano, she is MADE for Mozart. Hope to see some of her performances in person.

Bei allem Respekt kann ich nicht verstehen, wie ein Werk von Mozarts Musik, das so majestätisch ist wie die Zauberflöte, die von diesen beiden außergewöhnlichen Sängern interpretiert wird, in dieser dekadenten Inszenierung präsentiert wird und Kostüme unverzeihlich sind.

What seems like a good idea for a moment-magic flute in junkie/hoodlum atmosphere-is absurd and annoying when drawn out for the whole lengte of the opera.
