Err basically same as trad bank just digitally, its just a download app, register, deposit then tada can use d..
When I first worked in Singapore few years ago (before COVID), I was surprised that I could open an account fully online with a traditional bank, and get the ATM card via mail a week later. Further more there was ID verification during the card delivery via the ordinary postal service. Mind blown. Compared with queueing up multiple hours to help my kids open their saving account here.

Totally rooting for this new form of digital banking. At this digital age, i think the conventional banks will lose out if they still stick with the conventional ways of doing things.

That 3% is a fair trade since they don't have any physical branches overhead .so it's like a compensation for face to face service.

Digital bank still have a long road to go, as of now I only see I can deposit money and get 1% cash back when spend, look forward to others product/services like FD, loan, business related product as well from digital bank, and of course hopefully their apps is usable and support is good when needed. some how the conventional banks has down time and the support is not helpful or responsive, no fine by BNM kah ?
Can use this bank to terima gaji or not? Govt servant here.
do note that GX bank currently only offers conventional accounts which are not shariah compliant.

You can use the debit card with any cash deposit ATM to deposit the money into your account
Think smartly Brother.I have the similar difficulty to bank in my cash,how i did is to bank in my cash to my other bank account and then trasfer it to digital bank..Solve the problem.Unless you dont have the app in your phone...
What's the purpose of these banks anyway? At least local conventional banks are locally based i.e. HQ in Malaysia not some foreign entity trying to get our deposits, safer and in fact some of them already have digital banking. What I would propose is there should be greater competition among conventional banks to offer digital banking solutions.

Investments. Traditional banks are comfortable with it's current way of operation and changing their way may seem like an unwanted risk for them to take. This is especially true when the top leadership is dominated by oldies whom prefer conventional ways.

After 1saat support tu reply chat...terus dia tutup begitu ja...ini baru benda2 kecil support x boleh mbantu...kalau benda2 besar mcm kita mohon bantuan dispute mmg sah2 ke laut...sorry to say la...gx ni mmg hampir2 nak out da

Yes, banking app useless when in urgency. Especially when your password is wrong keyed. Customer service call take times, go to service center took hours.... like 3 -4 hours. Sit at the counter also have to fill up form waiting, at least 30 mins. Then came Covid.. can't go bank also. It's just not the bank issue also, Government should buckle up their knowledge and technology. Other country already in advance mode.

I think digital banks are good. There are 4-5 licenses I believe provide competition hence better for consumers.

Gx bank not my first digital bank, my first is Wise. Gx shall add multiple digital card like wise, once card has been compromised, you can delete the card and create new card

I have been using my GX debit card because of the Cashback.
for those who uses smartphones, digital banking is an advantage, wherever u are as long as you have excellent 4/5G networks or wifi services. on the other hand, for those oldies who dont use a smartphone (only uses basic mobile phone) or dont even have a mobile phone, then the conventional banks are for them, as they still need some human interactions (in some cases, they’ve been doing that way for so long, they dont wanna switch to using a smartfone n go digital. rural areas, small towns/kampung/pekan do need conventional banks…

I'm one of the pioneers doing e-banking since year 2000. We learned that most ppl are only loyal the bank where their salary are deposited in. The rest are by the way. The new digital bank has still a long way to go. She already said the new digital bank is for financial inclusion. That's correct for B40 but the design of it is for M40. While we can kutuk the current traditional banks, there are also many new digital banks that bungkus worldwide. All types of banks can chap lap or grow. End day everyone is loyal where their majority of their money is placed. Take advantage of cashbacks and freebies being given out. End day, consumer benefits.

al-rajhi bank has numbers of physical bank branches. So that's not digital bank. If so, then most bank in Malaysia is digital bank then.
