Very easy to understand. However, I'm confused at the two inches above the hem line when drafting out the pad pattern on the paper. You mentioned that you marked 2" above the knee lenght which is also your skirt length. I noticed you skirt was way above the knee after you wore it. Assuming I'm making a 3quater or long skirt, where do I mark as the end of that foam pad please? Where is the full length of the foam pad? Thanks in advance
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this before. To answer your question, my skirt length for this video was above my knee length. It's still the same format you will use when making a longer skirt. You don't want to hip pad to be too long. For example, if you're making a mermaid skirt when taking your measurements for knee length, it's usually 3 inches above your actual knee length so you can walk well in ease. I'll be posting another video for hip padding on a longer skirt soon. Just stay updated
Sorry for the late reply, I didn't do any of that. Since I had already sewn the hip pad to the linen, once I turn the linen and the fabric together, I don't need to do any stitch/ hem for it to hold. It's just like turning normal fabric with linding, it just holds. I hope this answers your question
This is the best I have watched.
God bless you ma
Wow, thanks 😊🙏
Great job 👏🏾, can i use the same method on lace fabric too? Thank you
Yes you can

@@eleganza_tv thanks. So, it generally ends 3" above knee length? Thanks
Great job... Thank you
Please after top stitching the pad to the linen did you topstitch them to the fabric or you just hem it?

Thank you for the tutorial ma
Please ma, are we going to follow d same method for long skirt
Like fishtail
Yes
@@eleganza_tv thanks ma'am
Nice one so beautiful
But u can still stitch it all round like twice or thrice to bring the edges down instead of trimming the foam
Thanks, will give that a try 👍
What you added to the hop is more than 1inch
What if I am using an 1/2 inch foam, do I still need to trim it before joining?
Yes
Please can I use this method for trouser?
I haven't tried it though but I guess so
Pls ma dis illustration is it for all sizes
Weldon ❤️
But isn't there going to be an excess on the hip line since the hips for the lining is lesser than the actual fabric
No
❤
Is this measurement of the hips ur real hips
My actual hip
Please wat about only hip
The same cutting of the hip pad pattern at the front you will do the same at the back
Thank u ma but pls ma this hip pad when you measured it’s wasn’t looking like 1inch pls ma explain that part plssss
Sorry I meant the hip part when you placed your tap it’s didn’t look like 1nch
