The thing about rachel is that she wasnt chosen at all
It is made stated in season 1 but not clear: Baam is an Irregular, because he was chosen by the Tower, not by Headon
Headon chooses Towerfolk to climb as regulars, the Tower chooses who enters from the outside as Irregulars. Inside the tower, while climbing, everyone is a Regular. Regular in this case is a blanket statement for everyone who is currently climbing the tower, not the opposite of Irregular.
Rachel wasn't chosen by Headon as she's from the outside, but she wasn't chosen by the Tower as well since Headon says "you're not the one the tower called for". So the best word for her would be a Mistake lol
She’s an anomaly even out of irregulars but she would still be categorized as an irregular
@mofubunsart Exactly, idk how it was in the anime but in the webcomic rachel was literally under baam and the 'gate' into the tower opened under them, but it was only for baam.

@@Zawaito would be entering too much in details even if it is essentially the same thing plus it could get a bit confusing for non-manhwa readers and people who don’t remember the anime or even haven’t watched it and sometimes you got to figure stuff your self as a watcher/reader, that’s where the fun is
There is a lot that s1 could have done better. However, s1 did the most important part right, they captured the atmosphere of the tower. Kevin Pekins music was a big factor in this. Furthermore, s1 art style looked to me like a polished version of early ToG art yet was its own thing. Very charming. Now s2 seems to be stepping up it's animation which was my biggest gripe, can't wait.
Fr fr, the kevin penkin soundtrack was wild, hope he's back for more in season 2...
But the strongest point in season 1 is character interactions and worldbuilding. And well, anime onlies have no idea what a Baang is, and they dont know that Baam and Androssi trained together and grew closer after the hide n seek...

I honestly loved season 1 since i hadn't read te webtoon at that time and i can't wait for season 2 but i hope they do a better job at the webtoon story adaption

If you have inconsistent and inaccurate translation throughout your story the mass appeal is going to go down. I can only hope if this anime is successful enough Line Webtoon will actually take Tower of God seriously and treat it with respect. A translation that is consistent with minimal necessary localization, a translation release that is at worst 1 or 2 weeks behind the Korean Naver release and not 5! The physical volumes having the original covers created by the author and not shoddily made photoshop cover with inconsistent artstyles horribly edited together. (You guys could have easily stolen one of the European covers and no one would complain, more fans would have bought it especially the hardcovers).
It seems whether it is executives or someone in the hierarchy is deciding that Tower of God is overstaying it's welcome. When I think a more appropriate treatment would be closer to how Shonen Jump in Japan handles One Piece.
Completely agree. Line translators are doing such a disservice to Tower of God and SIU. Hell, if I knew Korean I would fact check the translations for completely free. There's probably people who do speak Korean that are willing to do it also.
RUclipsr turtle if you please, I pestered the Crunchyroll social medias demanding a 2nd season with better animation and a new director that gets the webtoon... I was so surprised they announced a 2d season and also they apparently changed director... so I am hoping for a more faithful adaptation this time.... I saw the depressed Endorsi on the trailer and think maybe it will be more faithful as that element was absent from the 1st season in general... So what do you think? Fellow turtle... should we have our hopes up? Will Rak forget about chocolate and start eating bananas again?

Irregulars arn't immune to shinsu any where else in the series so that was probably a mistake on Joe's (Dr. Bonehead's) side.

I read ToG from the beginning. After a certain point it just feels like an excuse for the author to draw the character designs he wants to and shoe horns them in as named characters. I took a short break and could not actually remember how the story progressed. I find it so boring.

As much as I love ToG it's definitely best when binged within atleast a month due to just how detailed the world and story is, especially when compared to other Webtoons.
