Hello everyone, please note on castor seed issue,i forgot to mention in the interview the most important part, castor seeds have ricin poison, thus kikuyu women had to remove the outer layer of the castor seed. So please note, you must remove the outer layer of the castor seed before consuming. Apologies for not mentioning this very important detail. Please note, you must remove the outer layer of the seed. Thankyou
Ukiri ngatha itu
Ok thank you 😂😊
Hi, I used to hear planting the spear was predominantly practiced by kikuyus from lambwa na masaai intermarriages.., ama that was distorted info..,🤔
As a Castor farmer I second This.
I love you mims
Salute Wairimu Mukuru, The biggest kikuyu historian of our time. Daughter of the late Mp Muchai
Am shocked 😳😳 have followed her for long without knowledge that she is a daughter 😭💔 of former labour deputy CEO
She is well informed.... I could listen to her the whole day
I knew your dad dear 😢he was paying my school fees and I was happy that day when he came to school to open those classes. I remember I got a depression that year because of this unfortunate event.😢
We need this woman back on the show. A lot of life lessons here.
Wealth is not materialist, it’s the essence and heritage of a person or a bloodline my thoughts!
Yes kuna generation ina server juu ya curses za forefathers
Kuna clan's najua wako na hizo curse's
Including ours where I come from
Na ile wakati nilijua hiyo kitu nilikusanya watu wetu nikawaelezea vile tutafanya
Kutoka hio siku huwa naitwa wazimu na watu wetu
Warisema generation curses zao zilimarizwa na yesu
This is my best show so far. Never felt proud as a local man. Doktari I've learnt something from you today! "Enough"
Hey Dr.Kingori, I've been a huge fan of your content for a while now. i am clement warui currently 3.2 student at dedan kimathi University pursuing Bcom .Your recent interview with CPA Wangeci Warui was incredibly insightful, and i was inspired by her business expertise. I would love to connect with her to learn more tips on running a business and possibly explore opportunities for an attachment in her firm. If you could facilitate a hook up with her I would be immensely grateful. Thanks for considering it
She definitely has social media pages just do your research and contact her

True, life is spiritual. The traditions of diverse tribes all over the world attest to this fact. However, these traditions cannot be wholly relied upon because their true knowledge has been lost over time especially among communities who never had a reliable system of record keeping except for word of mouth. If you look around today, only remnants of these traditions remain because of rural urban migration. Nevertheless, all these truths are recorded in many sacred texts with the Bible leading as an authority in good customs emanating from the author of life, even the almighty God. Despite the fact that the pink man used Christianity to disenfranchise Africans and many other communities around the world, it still does not take away from the fact that the principles of the Christian faith are potent and have the power to change lives for the better and even break the generational curses as long as they are practiced earnestly by worshipers of the Deity.
Life is not spiritual bro
Wairimu, we are proud of you young lady and your dad is happy watching you down from Heaven if they see. God bless you
Please invite Mims once more,
A lady full of wisdom,
I enjoy learning from her,
Thank you
Wairimu ngatha ya rûrírí ❤
This is quite an enriching conversation. Especially touching on culture and justice from an African (kikuyu) perspective and wealth.
On the point of wealth I concur that capitalism is unethical on many aspects and greed drives it to overlook humanity and love for others. A common example of unethical means of making money that we deem as normal and fine is the hiking of fares during school opening periods and holidays.
People
There are ethical ways to be wealthy monetarily although it will take you time but it comes with invaluable benefits other than purely monetary gain at the end of it.
Thank you for the conversation.
Capitalism is great, it's the best system of building wealth fairly on the planet. If you can't compete you cannot complain
Awesome maze 😮❤❤❤❤

@Mimumukuru @TheWickedEditionDrKingori This is an interesting listen, thanks!
Re: ethical capitalism.. I'd guess that the answer has something to do with where in the world you are, and the baseline quality of life? I did a bit of reading after this interview, and a compelling answer that I read was a response from a historian that read:
“What has tended historically to dictate which end of the [ethical] spectrum capitalism appears on is the ability of ordinary people to rein back capitalism’s excesses through the actions of the state on the one hand, and of social movements such as trade unions on the other. Countries with strong states and strong social movements are able to develop forms of capitalism that are quite ethical in this respect and Scandinavia would perhaps offer the most complete examples. However, countries where there is authoritarian governance, where trade unions and other social movements are weak, are often characterized by a highly unethical and obnoxious form of capitalism that preys on individual weakness to generate profits for a small minority.”
I love her
A 27 in the spirit and wisdom of a 60 year old! Gai i am a super proud Gikuyu woman

"I trust that this was time well wasted"😂😂
Nice learned alot about my culture that i never knew.
Also to add on the capitalism wealth acquirement even in the old bibilical stories the kingdoms prospered thru conquering their neighbours for their wealth and thats the same case just in different view why the government taxes us and business men/women underpay their workers.
Wao nice learnt alot❤
I have never been so proud to be a Kikuyu😅🎉😅
Gîkuyû na mûmbî wîthayu ..
I like the Pinkerton reference 😄😄😄
tutaftie jojo show kali sasa tuskie pia rada za us na madooh
Africans have rich history of cultural heritage 🪐👏🏽
Watching full episode for the first time since in a long while. Thanks Kingori for this episode. Its time we re learned Kenyan history . So many puzzle pieces were missing in our school books 844 system
Kikuyu history in this case not kenyan history
@@itsTheTruthTeller Kikuyus are Kenyans. Where I come from there is no detailed historical information on how typical Kalenjins fought for independence during Koitalel Arap Samoei leadership. We just know that he was a seer and strategist. What the people did on the ground to support him is very vague. It would be nice to know.
@@hildachebii4525 you know who is also Kenyan? The 43 other tribes who are not kikuyu and who also fought for their independence and right to be free from colonial rule. Mau mau is a freedom liberation movement strictly for the kikuyu it didn't involve other tribes or other communities of this country and it's sad that your tribe is seen as the ONLY ones who fought for freedom... It's propaganda.
Mugikuyu mûigî gûkira ari agii
the biggest trophy for MAU MAU was patriotism. The arrow practice was to get a child from outside bloodline to break a possibility of a curse
Patriotism by who? Kikuyus only? Kenyans we're not patriotic at all
@@itsTheTruthTeller I said at that time. Patriotism by Mau Mau. I have not said kikuyus anywhere. Stop witchhunt🤣🤣
@@kaka6e6 mau mau was a kikuyu liberation front not a kenyan one as it did not encompass all other communities in the country. There was no mau mau in nyanza, western, eastern, north eastern or pwani... It was purely a kikuyu organization.
Really learnt alot, can I make clips short clips out of this?
Wealth is more ABT your definition. Make money bt you are not wealthy
In kenya what is missing a lot creativity invitions African outfits are so classic instead see youth dancing on streets instead of be busy in creative
Oneko was a Luo who was an advocacy leader too, jailed with Jomo. Waiyaki was a half Maasai
Ngai wa Kīrīnyaga, Kĩrĩma kĩa njahĩ......, thai thathaiya Ngai thai
JJ kamotho also aiuza gikuyu side ya agriculture
Ni thaayu
The fact that the society is "rotten" lost identity. Fighting to be "pink"
Imagine.
Mwaríama had PTS (post traumatic stress disorder)
Watching this as my father's name is Kariuki
African spirituality can be described in one word: curses. Rich or poor, it doesnt matter.
No, Christians worship a half naked zombie nailed on wood... That looks and sounds evil to me
Even njoki .......for a ladt is related to muriuki/kariuki
This lady! Wacha tu, I can listen to her a whole 24 hours and more. Full of positive vibe and so much knowledge about our history as a nation na Gîkûyû. Nimesoma mbili-tatu👌
Njoki was when a child has died and U have another one, especially where there has been multiple child mortalities so the name was changed to njoki. Not sure what the male version
Muchoki
Natural laws
come on , we are even more physically stronger, due to adequate nutrition
Oh no, which nutrition GMO?
I hope and pray my forefathers were not sell outs…
So you knew the answer? I like that 😂
Hapo Kwa 'kifunzo kingine'😂😂
Dr Kingori understanding of wealth is Super superb ❤
