This may be my favourite version of Telegraph Road EVER. The vocals are more emotionally sung than any other version I’ve listened to. Not to mention that outro solo... Pure magic! 👏🏼
This performance, as well as many others, has got even more feeling than on the record, where it fades out. I don't understand how he does it, but his songs always grow when he plays them live. It has always been like this, since -78, as far as I can tell. Mark Knopfler is such an amazing and unique live performer. Probably this version is one of the most powerfull and successful live version. The final solo is absolutly AMAZING....!!! I love this song, clearly one of my favourites songs of MK (please, don´t miss to hear a Cordoba 2019 live version of Telegrph Road: is abolutely fantastic !!! )

Of all the 2005 European concerts this stands out as being the holyshit tight OMG WTF is this he is doing .. aha i see its in Amsterdam .. dont hate me but the weed is strong with this one :) Not that there is anything wrong with that ... just Perfect
The one negative of this is how he chose to set-up his Strat sound. The original studio sound was clean with some reverb and compression; the tone was crisp and jangled as only a Strat can. Here it is overdriven and the tone is muffled - it loses it's vitality. It doesn't do justice to his fingerwork.
Well he can't be astounding in everything can he, you've got to give him a teensy bit of legroom, being as he wrote the words, music, arranged it, sang and played his guitar as only he can. I'll say again you've got to give him a teensy bit of legroom. PRAT.

He's going for a more Clapton "woman tone" here with the neck pickup only and the mids and treble cutoff. Different for sure but it's also quite good
