Morons like this woman think they’re “just getting over on Big Evil Corporations”, but they’re hurting folks like the driver and his kids instead - either Door Dash will fire this poor guy (and low-key blackball him to other delivery services if he dares apply, simply by saying No to the allowable question of “would you rehire him if he tried to come back?”)… or Culver’s themselves will disallow this driver to pick up from them, thereby cutting into his ability to make enough deliveries.

I received an email inviting me to an interview over a zoom meeting, and when I joined there were over a hundred other people there. The one leading the zoom meeting explained the company and all the benefits, and at the end they said it would be like $70 to get certified for the job, and like, $300 in other fees.. They said that if I work there for three months and become an ambassador, I can get my money back as long as I manage to invite other people as well. I worked at a supermarket previously and was cashiering around the holidays. I worked in a different section but holidays always get slammed so they have to pull people to help expedite. Anyway, a mom and daughter were in my line using food stamps, they had to do two separate transactions and it was mostly food and necessity items. They were, however trying to get the daughter a really cute dress for the holidays as her present but it was declined with the transaction. I went on break early since we couldn't buy stuff on the clock of course. Just to purchase the dress for them. They both were crying and hugged me, it was the cutest thing ever.
I worked at a different grocery store as a cashier this time, and a woman was there with her two children in the cart. Her card was declined and she was trying to call her bank to solve the issue. A really rude customer a few people behind her in line went to "try to pack up her groceries to get her out of the way" because she was in such a hurry. She was horrible and made the customer start crying. I called my manager over and they took the nice woman into a separate line to solve her bank issues. When the rude lady got to me I just put her stuff to the end and made her bag them herself since she was in such a rush and wanted to bag so much. Everyone else in line was mortified by the rude woman and laughed that she had to bag for herself when I bagged everyone else's. The nice lady came back and hugged me for helping her. And every single time she went to the store she made sure to go through my line if she saw me working

That way you couldn't false report not receiving it, you could report for receiving the wrong order or incomplete/damaged, but NOT false report in order to get a meal or groceries for free.

It took awhile to explain to him and have him understand what happened, but he did figure it out and realized he'd delivered it one block over (just left it in front of the door, so the people who lived there didn't even know). He drove back, picked up my order, and brought it to me. He was so apologetic. I had no issues, sometimes mistakes happen. But I have had SO many issues with the restaurants where they would just throw whatever in the bag and I've had to report issues so many times. Because it's an issue with missing items from the sealed bag, I know it's the restaurant who messed up. Never occurred to me that the drivers might be penalized. The saddest part is that as soon as he does show the video to corporate, he will instantly be terminated as a driver for the company. As drivers, we aren't allowed to confront the customer after the order is completed with any issues. Especially if they lodge a complaint against you or in this case claim the order didn't arrive. Literally, everyone who has filmed themselves confronting the person who claims they didn't get their order was terminated once DoorDash knew about the incident.

As a driver I've had to deal with getting contract violations and it literally made me have a meltdown in my car and I was terrified to dash. I had one person try to scam me and it affected my next order as well. I literally got 2 contract violations because of 1 event and it was one of my first days dashing ever! A couple of days later I had to beg not to get another one because the GPS took me to the entirely wrong apartment complex. When I arrived at the right one you had to park and walk through the entire thing. And the complex not even joking had 2 of each building!! So two A buildings two B buildings and I was sweating from having to run all over trying to find the delivery spot. The 1st A had the odd numbers and the 2nd A had even numbers but the layout was weird so they weren't even by each other.
I'm never dashing in that area again because the GPS does not work there. It always takes you to a location at least 10 minutes away or tells you you've arrived when you are literally still driving in the main road. I asked if I could NOT be sent orders to that location it's so bad.

On the flight attendant one: It's also likely it's a convenient way to dispose of liquids/consolidate liquids for disposal in a handy container, if she had a number of glasses to empty, it might just be easier to pour them all in one container, then dump that container later. We also don't know what portion of the flight they were on. They may have been getting ready to land and she needed to secure the liquids. Also, idk but it's pretty hard to tell if those are actually "used" drinks. Once I went to a group interview for an extra at a flower shop chain in a specific part of town. When the interview started it turned out that everyone had applied for jobs at different chains. 🚩 Turns out the job was to be an extra in *any* store in *any* part of town. 🚩 You had to be available to work 3 days a week, including on weekends (basically on standby in case they called). 🚩 You were only paid if they called you in. 🚩 I walked out of that interview pretty soon, even got another woman to walk out with me. When I think about it now I wish that I had made a bigger scene to get all the desperate 18-year-olds in the room to realize what a shitty deal it was.
I went on a lovely group interview for Lush once. I did have a one-on-one phone interview before, though. I got the job, too! If you ever get the opportunity to work at Lush, do it! It's a wonderful company to work at.
