Dan, first of all, (greetings from Brazil!) thanks for such great content! It's super helpful. I have a question/request: Could you do a COMPLETE BEGINNERS tutorial explaining Kv and Amps? That would be much appreciated!!!
Think me and my business partner are going to buy a gema soon. We do lots of color changes on small batch work. Kinda leaning towards the lab version with 3lb hopper for that reason. Possibly box version though, we are kind of undecided. Are you happy with that model?
I love it, id suggest the box, takes 3 mins to clean and will allow you to spray way more parts. Cup gun is really for small batch only, you would be adding powder all the time
Great videos! I have an older PGC1 with a Gema gun, thoughts on air settings? It has the main air, delivery air and supplemental air. Can't seem to get the supplemental gauge ball to float. Any ideas?
Hey how’s it going Dan. So I have the optiflex2 and I’ve been having an error code pop up H91 and I’ve been looking up see if there’s any information and can’t find one yet so hope you can help. I Appreciate your videos keep it up 👍
Check out Gemas web site, they have the manuals for the guns, I think thats the backplate or cable code, if your back plate is broke you probably have powder in there. Take it apart and clean it up, buy a new back plate
hey dude, im from germany. i like youre videos. i have a optiflex 2b, you know this machine? I want to coat a piece with a lot of winding places. which settings can you recommend to me? (base coat and top coat) now im using 30/2,8/50kv/5mA for top coat. kind regards
I was wondering if you have ever used or heard of anyone using a powder gun kit that looks like the gema? A company in China sells it it looks identical but obviously it’s not but was hoping if you knew anything about as I was looking to upgrade to it until I get more work and experience to buy high end set.
Possible shock but should not be anything else. Why make a habit of it when you can use a ground rod though? Some times I touch a part if I am having issues but not often.
@@RightNowPowderCoating and what about your air settings? I have a gema optiflex 2b and tend to get slight orange peel, wondering if you have any tips for that? Ramp up time?
@@RightNowPowderCoating I was in on your live awhile back when y’all was working late that night. Name was JW Hendry II. I’m still buying and setting up everything. Haven’t even coated the first piece

A rewatch, Thx again Dan. Your channel is becoming a staple to me.
Glad to hear it!
Thanks, Dan, a week or so after the video, you again have taught me more than what I knew be4, Thank you.
Hey did you ever do that video on more of the settings and air setting from what you said in this vid ?
Cheers for sharing you knowledge 👍🏻
I work for a Fortune 500 company and this video has officially made me more knowledgeable than anybody else in the building 😅.
You can apply a remote lock to your screen so your guys cant change settings, only toggle between programs if you want.

@@RightNowPowderCoating Thanks for the reply. Probably take your advice on the box version. Appreciate the videos. Definitely helps when starting out.

I'm thinking about getting a gema, How do you like it pros and cons?
Awesome tips, bro! Much appreciated!!
I'm here Bro thanks for being there. Going to get a Gema gun soon so it's vital info for me. Thanks again although is Friday. Have a great weekend
I'll do a better video soon but wanted to get some info out fast haha
Awesome work turned out nice!! Happy Halloween
Thanks! Same to you.

Did you know somethink about gema clone from china? It is crap or good?

go with present, the second one for complex parts, stop lowering the kv, you dont need to on this gun
@@RightNowPowderCoating ok thx and the microAmps?

Yeah they are junk, there are better guns for less, check out Columbia coatings, tell Brian I sent ya
Hi dan. I got the same gema gun but I struggle with candy colours, what settings do you use for candy colours. Thanks
We use the faraday setting most times or recoat
@@RightNowPowderCoating thanks 🤟
Dan make us more videos. I like watching your stuff
I'm working on it haha, I got this company and a full time job and 2 kids so I'm a bit busy!
@@RightNowPowderCoating I understand. We have 4 girls. 2 have moved out and married. 2 more to go so I get it 💯. Keep up the good work.
Hi I have a very serious question if you were to use yourself as the ground for a part that you're painting what is the health risk on that
Possible shock but should not be anything else. Why make a habit of it when you can use a ground rod though? Some times I touch a part if I am having issues but not often.
@@RightNowPowderCoating the company I work for is unwilling to fix the problem which is that the ground rod is not in fact grounded
What happens when the throws the code h91 how do you reset the machine
hey man, so i was wondering..how much psi do you have going in the Gema machine?
We set ourselves at 6bar
What kv/Ua do you guys run for wheels ?
We us the complex part setting which is at 100kv, 22ua

I'm assuming all the guys running the Gema clones can learn from this as well?
To a degree as the guns look alike but the internals are different.

How to solve H91 alarm
Typically it's an issue with the back plate on the gun. You'll need to replace it.

I'm here and I don't even have a gema
These settings work for many guns!
@@RightNowPowderCoating I’m not at the gema level yet lol. I’m going to start with the
