SHELTON, CT - At approximately 8:20pm on May 27, 2019, the Shelton Fire Department was dispatched to 273 Canal Street with multiple calls for a vacant building fire. Originally it was thought to be the old Star Pin Mill Building, but ended up being a well involved out building behind that location. After dealing with difficult access issues, the fire was quickly knocked down.

A dilapidated shack not worth the time it would take nor the energy which would be expended to extinguish the fire, standby and let the fire consume what there is to consume and burn into ashes, best for all concerned.
