    The PRS acoustics are nice. Pretty solid specs for a mid-range guitar and they sound good. I think acoustic suits you by the way. Also, I wasn't expecting you to have anywhere near as high a voice as that. Far above my own range!

      Thanks man! yeah i'm coming to the conclusion that i may be an acoustic guy above all, and thanks! (i was a lead singer in a covers band for 10 years back in the UK, you learn a thing or two:)

    Excellent players review of a guitar I was very curious about. Covering the exact questions I had.
    When you said “if you have big hands, check it out in a guitar store” I was like “nice one mate”.
    Subb’d.

    Thank you for the review! I was wondering if you put this guitar up against a Taylor 414ce, what would that comparison look like in your opinion? Thanks again! Love your vids! 🎸🎸🎸

      Thanks Joe! The sound is quite compatible but the playing difference is quite big, not to take anything from the PRS but the Taylor is better built and feels easier to play, but then again it’s 2.5x the price, cheers!

    Hi dear Paul, what you think is beter, this guitar or Kremona r25e? Thank you!

    • @DerekPaulGuitar
      @DerekPaulGuitar  Год назад

      Hi, they are very different guitars, which style of music do you play? PRS is great for pop, blues, rock, Kremona is great for finger picking, and light music :)

    Thanks Derek for the review. I am trying to finalize between Ibanez AAD170Ce and PRS AX20E (other models are not available here). What would be your recommendation? I played the PRS and I like the sound but pickups are ok-ish. The Ibanez AAD is not available in local store, so I need to order online and check out the feel and sound of it. They have magnetic pick, and I have not seen it before on acoustics.
    Also thinking about Cort Gold A6. All solid with good electronics.

      Thanks on for the comment, honestly the best way to chose is to put the guitars in your hands, play them and listen to them, I have both Ibanez and PRS acoustics and they both sound and play so well! I agree though that the pickups aren’t the best, but can be changed, cheers!

    I've played this guitar. To compare it to a Taylor anything is absurd.

      To be honest I say that as most folks know the brightness of a Taylor compared to the darker / warmer sound of a Martin, cheers

    I have one of the earliest of these A40E models. Before the bound the neck with the cream binding. Great guitar. I was between this and a Taylor 214. I like the neck better on the PRS. I have gigged with it and am in the process of recording with it. Produces the exact sound I like and plays in a way that makes it easy for me to get those sounds out of it. "Good" or "Bad" is so subjective when it comes to tone, that each person will have to find what they like. But for me. This will do nicely for my needs.
    Nice demo by the way. And I did see the guitar hunter review of this not two days before I stumbled on this video.

      Great guitars indeed, I really like it, and they say it looks, so you got to see the exact same guitar twice :)) it should record beautifully too
