I´m going to watch this video many, many times - that jump @ 2:00 is exquisitely framed, and we even change POV in mid-air...then there´s the way you keep the car in frame during the tracking shots - respect : )
Mitico!!
Lovely film as always Matteo. The Boomerang was my second Tamiya RC car back in the day. Very fond memories flooding back. Keep up the awesome work sir :)
Thank you so much Rob! Yes the good old memories... And thanks again for the animation of my logo. I think it's a big plus for my videos! I'm so happy with it!
Awesome Tamiya video...well filmed and edited as usual..you just make rc fascinating Matteo. By the way, me and a friend both ordered TRX4 after watching your well made and explained video..my friends first rc car ever..now i`m not alone anymore..he he..so thank you for convincing him what to buy..
Great video Sir, Loved it..... Tamiya Brings back great memories from being a teenager. I saved and saved and ended up with 3 Tamiya RC buggies with my parents help. I had The Frog, Wild Willy Jeep and the Boomerang. I preferred the Boomerang as if recall, was 4X4 and also seemed quicker. I made my Father laugh once as just before going to school one day I put The Boomerang under an empty box with Ariel sticking out. Bin Men/Garbage Men came to throw rubbish in the wagon. One came for the box as I watched from a window in my house, he got closer. When about to pick it up, it shot off up the street at speed. It frightened the life out of him. LOL!!!!! I would love to get another if I could afford it and do a review on it as now an adult.
Aargh, so hard to choose between a bigwig, hotshot and boomerang with all these equally awesome videos! Maybe the boomerang is my first choice again after seeing this.
My brother and I had a Boomerang in the 90's and LOVED it. I know this message is 3 years late, and I can't compare to the others, but I'd go for a Boomerang!
Oh, yeah, that's the one! If I could only have one Tamiya, this would be it. Looks as tough as the Hotshot, with better rear suspension. I just wish these were a bit more rugged and a bit more available!
Mann loving these videos! How do you keep your buggies clean and how do you 'wash' them? Can share some tips? I just completed the build of my TT02B Neo Scorcher. Also, subscribed to your channel. Cheers.
Cool! Can you explain to me how a single damper provides support for both of the front wheels? It seems like the front of the vehicle would just roll over as soon as you turn a corner.
Yes, the supensions left and right are connected in the center with the damper, so it's something between an independent and rigid suspension. That's why the better buggies not longer used this system.
Good old vintage (even it is re-issue) :-) ! Great to see for sure on your great Video, the Boomerang always Returns..! (mine, re-issue is still mint in box.....) should built it once :-) thanks for sharing, best regards, Daniel
Agreed. Too much slomo. When we drive our rcs our reception of it isnt slomo either. The other thing is of course these Tamiyas look awfull in normal playback speed. But thats what you get with them. We love it or hate it. Uploadind a vid exclusively in slomo is unnecessary
Hello again Matteo! Is the Boomerang better than the Hotshot? I've read that the rear suspension breaks easily over time in the Hotshot. If i just buy the Boomerang and paint it red 🤣
If it's brand new the diffs can be tight, this is no problem. After a few runs it should getting better. Also the hot motor is normal. After fife minutes of run time you can burn your fingers on the motor!
Matteo's RC Movies what do you think is a good tamiya brand brushed mirror upgrade for more speed I would go brushless but I don’t want to destroy the trans
Matteo's RC Movies Ha ha, no worries 😀 I think it is because some dealers have it listed as 2009 (I have seen it before), perhaps because it was released late 2008, and they first got in stock, early 2009.
Yeah, I think that's where I also saw it as a 2009. Sorry for the nerdy stuff, but Im in a Boomerang Nerdy State of Mind at the moment, since I build my first this year and editing the first run video with it right now :-)
Another amazing video. Seems like all your movies, make me want the car in the exact video. I should un subscribe your channel 😀. As always, really great filming, and Tamiya should have you on their paylist, as I bet you generate some turnover for them. At least they should send you a kit now and then.
I enjoyed every second of it. I was inside the videochecking every movement of the shocks absorbers ! Bomerang brings back so much memories but I have to check the others video !
The way you show the performances of an R/C buggy is simply the best.
I've been waiting for this one! Great work as always! Makes me want the Boomerang even more! Your videos are superb sir
Thank you so much Clayton! I appreciate your nice feedback!
And I'm glad it's back! Great stuff, as I've come to expect from you Matteo! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Matt! Yes, a Boomerang comes back (or not) but Tamiyas always comes back! 😄
A great video with truly amazing on-board and slow-mo shots. I wish I had a secret location like that.
Thanks Madtopp!
Love this video! I built this around ‘89 and loved every bit of it. I just wish I still had it.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Such a well done video as always. Loved the small jumps. Incredible filming techniques.
Thank you so much!
I´m going to watch this video many, many times - that jump @ 2:00 is exquisitely framed, and we even change POV in mid-air...then there´s the way you keep the car in frame during the tracking shots - respect : )
Thanks so much Del. Always a pleasure how accurate you watch my videos! And taking the time to leave so good feedbacks!
: )
This was my 1st RC car I bought back in 1988 and it was a phenomenal off-road car being all plastic. Many great memories to recall.
Thanks! Yes, nice memories are involved with these cars...
Mitico!!
Grazie mille! Sono molto soddisfatto! Buon divertimento! 👍👍😊😊

Thank you so much Rob! Yes the good old memories...
And thanks again for the animation of my logo. I think it's a big plus for my videos! I'm so happy with it!
Oh man, that takes me back to the late 80's. Awesome video!
That's cool! Thanks for your nice feedback! 😊

Thanks so much for your nice comment! Yes, nice memories are involved with these rc cars... 👍👍😊😊

Yes, there are so many nice cars! Thanks Erik!
My brother and I had a Boomerang in the 90's and LOVED it. I know this message is 3 years late, and I can't compare to the others,
but I'd go for a Boomerang!
So much fun! Loved this video Matteo.

Hi Matteo, awesome video again! It is very great to watch your video... really look forward more rc video from you.
Thank you! Glad you like my videos!
Tamiya was always going to re-release this one as a Boomerang always comes back :-) Joking a side one of the best on this chassis.
Yes! Thanks!
Oh, yeah, that's the one! If I could only have one Tamiya, this would be it. Looks as tough as the Hotshot, with better rear suspension. I just wish these were a bit more rugged and a bit more available!
Thanks Jeremy!
awesome filming skills!
hey matteo, nice video and excellent camera work.
thumbs up my friend XD
have nice weekend
Thank you! Have a nice week too!
Beautiful as ever.
Thanks Tomas!
The only Tamiya you seem to be missing the Hornet and Grasshopper.
Ohh, I think there are a few others too... 😊
Well done Matteo the mid air shot was sick how did you do that!! Fantastic!! Thx for your time✌
Thank you so much! I use several jumps and cutted it together to one jump.

Wie immer, ein klasse Video..!
Danke Franky!
Great video as always 👍👍👍
Thanks!
Got one " and still in the box for years
Szeretem a régi tamiya-kat jó videó :)
Nagyon köszönöm!
Mann loving these videos! How do you keep your buggies clean and how do you 'wash' them? Can share some tips?
I just completed the build of my TT02B Neo Scorcher. Also, subscribed to your channel. Cheers.
Thank you! I use an air gun to clean it from dirt and dust, works well in my opinion.
@@Matteomeier thanks for the tips!
It is a cool video matching music!
Thanks!
Well filmed :)
Thank you! 🙏😊
Nice movie.
Thank you! 😊
Ah, so it's not just different, it also doesn't work as well. Thanks.
Awesomeness mate!!!
Thanks! 😊
Have you kept all these rc vehicles?
Also, if you could only keep one of these vintage buggies, which would you keep?
No, I have not keept one of the originals from back then. These are all re-releases. Had back then a Wild Willy this would be fine to have it still.
I meant have you kept all the RC vehicles you've taken videos of on RUclips or do you sell them later on to buy other RC?
Ahh, yes I have all kept! But now my space is empty!
Can we see a video of the box of this and fo built it first and where can i get one
You can get it everywhere. For exsample: www.rcmart.com/tamiya-58418-boomerang-2008-wesc-p-28001.html?cPath=420_1183
Matteo's RC Movies ok cool
Matteo's RC Movies btw , is this exactly like the one in the 80s
Awesome video. Do you use ball bearings when you build these?
For most of them yes.
Never open the box without.
Excellent Boomerang !! Nice bashing !!
Merci!
Great videos as always. Matteo can please make a video on the Tamiya Top Force.
Regards Sam from Australia
Thank you! Maybe Topforce in the future...
Good old vintage (even it is re-issue) :-) ! Great to see for sure on your great Video, the Boomerang always Returns..! (mine, re-issue is still mint in box.....) should built it once :-) thanks for sharing, best regards, Daniel
Thanks Daniel! Always a great pleasure to hear from you! 😊
Sehr schönes Video-tolles Vintage Fahrzeug.Eben Tamiya Qualität
Vielen Dank!
Amazingly shot . . just like a bit less slow mo sometimes for realism.
Agreed. Too much slomo. When we drive our rcs our reception of it isnt slomo either.
The other thing is of course these Tamiyas look awfull in normal playback speed. But thats what you get with them. We love it or hate it. Uploadind a vid exclusively in slomo is unnecessary
What batteries do you run in this
Rocket Sport 2s lipo from Team Orion
Brilliant !
Thanks Joe!
Would you be willing to sell this one?
really like the soundtrack :-)
Thanks! 👍🎼🎼🎼🎼
Matteo! maybe some bearing and Sport tuned mabuchi!
👍 Always good to improve the performance! 👍😊
Hello again Matteo! Is the Boomerang better than the Hotshot? I've read that the rear suspension breaks easily over time in the Hotshot. If i just buy the Boomerang and paint it red 🤣
I dont't know which one is better, both are great! 👍😊
Consiglierei l' Hotshot! 👍
Can someone help with my boomerang why are my diffs so tight it the rear and does your motor get really hot after a 15 minute or so run
If it's brand new the diffs can be tight, this is no problem. After a few runs it should getting better. Also the hot motor is normal. After fife minutes of run time you can burn your fingers on the motor!
Matteo's RC Movies thanks it’s greatly appreciated I’m going to convert to ball bearings soon so I can get longer run times
Matteo's RC Movies what do you think is a good tamiya brand brushed mirror upgrade for more speed I would go brushless but I don’t want to destroy the trans
Perfect👍👍
Thanks!
Brilliant.
Thank you!
As said earlier I love this video. Ohh, "2009"? I think it is from 2008.
Mheeemmm! Why I did this wrong? Don't know! Thanks for your attention! 👍😊
Matteo's RC Movies Ha ha, no worries 😀 I think it is because some dealers have it listed as 2009 (I have seen it before), perhaps because it was released late 2008, and they first got in stock, early 2009.
Yes, exactly! I think I checked it at Tamico, and they mentioned it as 2009... Thanks again! 👍
Yeah, I think that's where I also saw it as a 2009. Sorry for the nerdy stuff, but Im in a Boomerang Nerdy State of Mind at the moment, since I build my first this year and editing the first run video with it right now :-)
I just bought and built my first boomerang a couple days ago 3 days a go to be exact
When I was young, I'd the same...😍
Was good times back then!
yep ,une fois de plus ,very very nice
Merci, merci beaucoup!
Awesome video bro love it
Amazing)
Thanks!
I like your new logo, by the way.
Nice! Thanks Shawn! 😊
Was glaubst Du ist besser: Hotshot oder Boomerang?
Ich würde sagen Hot Shot. Die Anlenkung der Steuerung beim Boomerang ist schlechter.
Another amazing video. Seems like all your movies, make me want the car in the exact video. I should un subscribe your channel 😀. As always, really great filming, and Tamiya should have you on their paylist, as I bet you generate some turnover for them. At least they should send you a kit now and then.
Thanks so much Jesper! Yes, Tamiya starts to recognize my work, and sometimes I get a kit from them.
Nice video
Thanks!
So genial!
Vielen Dank!
nice car!
Thanks! 😊
cool, now do the supershot
Thanks Andy!
Nice video brother 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 rc I like 😍
Merci mon ami! 😊
Cool en plus je l'ai chez moi
Tres bon! Merci!
What can i say.. pretty disappointed on The Boomerang. Steering gets stuck by tiny rocks and the battery door pin gets stuck by dust.
Yes, these are minus points...
'
coool nice tamiya car...
better rather put twin shocks absorbers on the front...
not single shock absorber
Thanks! Yes, twin shocks are better.
Ps good film
👍👍😎
You need to give classes on your filming!!!!I'm sure you're getting paid somewhere for your skills!!!!!
AWESOME video Bud! I just put up a pumpkin video check it out! =)
Thanks Steve! Yours is not a Midnight Pumpkin - it's a Delight Pumpkin!
This is better than sex
Really? 😂 Thanks!
I enjoyed every second of it. I was inside the videochecking every movement of the shocks absorbers ! Bomerang brings back so much memories but I have to check the others video !
The one I had in 1986 or ‘87 was the biggest piece of junk RC I ever owned.
