    Do I need a fax machine or can I just use the faxing apps?

      You don't need a fax machine. The simplest way for you would be to request communication through email.

    Do you only need set up with one tpa? Or would it benefit to to set up with all 4 of the ones mentioned?

      Great question! You should set up with all 4 TPA's because each TPA only covers a handful of insurance companies. So, to offer a service to all customers, you need all of them.

    Anyone know how to do this in the uk?

    If they have a deductible, do you create a separate invoice just for the customer, collect and keep the deductible then it’s take it off of the invoice for the TPA Or, do you subtract it off of the invoice you submit to the TPAs and use the same invoice for the customer and the TPA?

      Hey Ian, Good question! Most insurance companies cover the cost of windshield repair without a deductible. In the rare case that they do require a deductible, it will usually make sense to work with the customer outside of insurance due to such high deductibles. Hope that helps!

    Great tips, thank you. Those TPAs that you mentioned them during your presentation, they do not charge you when they process your invoice? I mean, when you set up accounts with them, what is the charge, if there is any, for processing the documents?

      All TPAs charge a processing fee, the exact fee would vary depending on what TPA you go through.

    When you go to send TPA a picture of your vehicle does it have to be a van? Can it be a truck? And I’m in Florida

    • @glasweld

      There shouldn't be an issue whether it's a van or a truck! We do recommend branding your vehicle to your business though. Give your local TPAs a call to find out the rules in your area. Good luck!

    Most TPAs will always want to speak with the customer before approving. I have a good script for my customers and in 16 years I have never called, I always have the customer call but if you are not a network shop like I am the customer could get steered

      Why do most tpa's try to get the customer to go with safelite when the customer is calling to get approved..?

    How long does it take to get paid?

    • @glasweld
      @glasweld  6 лет назад +1

      It depends on if you use an EDI, or their online portal or snail mail. With EDI you get paid within a few weeks or sooner, with their portals typically its pretty quick too.
