You might notice, Eli and Lily are wearing matching shirts that say "Come Say Hi." This is their own campaign/mission to get people to "come say hi" to people that might look different. Eli has EB and while he looks different, he says he's just a regular kid! Thanks for watching!

There is no treatment or cure. This website tell you a lot more about EB www.debra.org/whatiseb

Forgot to tell you kids are cute and you brought back a lot of memories. My middle daughter was born with Craniofacial defects caused by medications. So i remember biting the kernel part off all her popcorn for first 2 years so she could have little pieces of soft white corn to gum. She loved it. Would wait a bit impatiently after she realized his good it tasted. My older daughters & I used to make popcorn & eat it watching Barney, Sesame Street, Mr. Roger's Neighborhood & Eureka's Castle! Especially in the winter. In Sumner we'd pop jiffypop over the evening fire by the edge of the lake & stand in the smoke to keep the skeeters away. Lol. So many more memories too of card/board game nights with salty popcorn and Italian or Mexican seasoning flavored popcorn but the fave was mostly either plain or salted. Thank you for reminding me of those joys.

Thanks for the video. I didn't realize how well it popped. As soon as mine dries I will be trying it. Learn something new every day. Thanks!

How do you prepare home grown corn to use for popcorn? How do you dry it? I have always wanted to do this. That is the only problem with air popcorn makers, they are SO noisy. 😄

I wanted to come say hi!!!
The kids are adorable!!! And now I’m excited to try and use glass gem for popcorn!
I was concerned that something so beautiful wouldn’t pop so well.
Has your experience always been successful with it or are there specific ones that pop better? (Another RUclipsr had mentioned that)

I've grown 2 types. Was was a little (about 4-6" long) fat red kernelled 1that I got seeds in Maine from Johnny's Selected Seeds. The other was something with " kota" in the name that was dark purple. ( label on glass jar faded too bad to read the rest) that's about 2" long and a skinny cob. Both were tasty but didn't pop as large as other more popular brands. But in each case they were grown in buckets. Maine because of going back and forth between town & lake. Here because I rent.

I have grown and popped Dakota Black and Glass Gem popcorn for the kids. They loved it. The first time was last year and I used their microwave. It was ok but everyone agreed that the air popper was much better. Both of these varieties, from our seed stock, popped very well

Mary's Heirloom Seeds I hate micro popcorn personally. Find its texture a bit plasticky. I usually pan pip mine the old fashioned way while doing the "shake shake shake" dance. Lol
