Never stop giving raw feedback after the game, please. That’s why we’re all here, because if we can’t be at the game and in the pub after, this channel is a lifeline to a place and a feeling we can’t get in our lives - because “reasons”. Love this channel.
Completely a reality check. We owe Bromley a big thank you for giving stern enough opposition to reveal our shortcomings. What a blessing in disguise, thank you Andy Woodman.
Barnes is much better than he showed yesterday. Gonna give him the benefit of the doubt if he was feeling a muscle strain as reported but he really needs to sort his head out & get up to speed with how we play & what's expected of him if he wants to stay here.
Yep. Barnes IS quality. Chris was way too hard on the lad. Never gets a run in the team. A fraudster like Murphy played ahead of him. He probably needs a move to get him away from Howe, who’s doing to him what he did to ASM
Our squad simply isn't strong enough, and I hope it is a reality check for Eddie & the board. I'm not as bothered if we don't make signings in January... but more so with outgoings. It'd be nice to develop the youth and have a couple of wonderkids come through too.
Miley will become Newcastle’s Stephen Gerrard, the lad oozes quality, he finds time and space with ease, sees a pass, scored a spectacular goal, just so exiting! The best compliment I can give is that he could come in for Tonali or Bruno and we would play the same. Amazing talent
Don’t need to name names but the game was certainly confirming that there is quite a gap between 1st team and replacements. Miley will play for England seniors no doubt. Nice to have him there to make the opposition defence try to close him down as he can shoot from 25 yards, makes more space in the box. It looked to me like he was angry with himself for the Bromley goal and did a bit of a Roy of the Rovers. His reaction to scoring was more like he was cancelling out what he deemed an error - ‘I broke Dads favourite tea mug so I went out and got him a new one’ 😅. Maybe I’m reading into too much in to that. If Osula can be a real threat down the right - then great, Murphy’s off the ball work and defensive efforts currently make him the right man and he’s getting a lot of assists, if he can get it into his head to control an Isak through ball and it hen shoot instead of ballooning over the bar or just outside the far post, he should get bucket loads of goals. I am a fan of Murphy’s class attitude and relentless hard work, appreciating him more this year. Good example pro. Job done again though. Cheers Chris as always.
I was at the match and Longstaff , Miggy and Barnes are just not good enough. Great to see young Miley and Osula score. Barnes is more effective when coming on as a sub, But can't see him being satisfied sitting on the bench.
Fully agree. Longstaff, Miggy and Barnes all had a shocking day at the office; nowhere near Prem standard. Miley, Tripps, Targett and, to a degree, Kelly, sound performances, particularly the former.
Longstaff and Miggy need to be offloaded this window, Miggy in particular just looks as though he’s there to pick up his salary. Disappointed with Barnes yesterday aswell, did himself no favours.
Love the honesty of these vids. Same suspects again mentioned as underperformers . I messaged my cousin in the North East during the game ( i am exiled geordie since 1969 but came up for 40 years to support toon) saying Longstaff and Miggy were awful. OMG full on meltdown as he ranted Miggy runs and runs. I said so does Mo Farrah and he only has a few more goals than him. so it shows its personal opinion on players and what it is we like in them
The squad is better as not so long ago they were first team players - but without naming names, we need to sell at least 6 of them - unfortunately, on that performance some of them, well they’ve cost us millions with their current valuation dropping like a stone in water.
We know most below first team level cannot rise to the challenge and a reason why Mitchell is beavering away upgrading our academy player quality. The Longstaffs, Almirons and Popes have proved unable to reach a higher ceiling and will be sold which is why our club are looking to bring in the Trafford, McAtee and Dibling type players who can develop their games and are way off their potential ceilings. Mitchell and Howe seem to have proven they are working together with the sensible decision to retain Dubravka in the short term so l feel we, as a club, are rapidly achieving the goals set by our club owners. Next up will be the stadium and l for one will be gobsmacked if the choice is to remain on St James Park and envisage a quantum leap into domination via vastly increased revenue streams in a stadium on Leazes Park.
Longstaff, Almiron and Barnes were very unimpressive. When you're out of the side as these players have been recently I'd have expected a bit more commitment than any of the three showed yesterday. Others were solid, young Lewis in particular deserved his MoM award. Surely if you're not being picked regularly your first thought should be to aim for a performance that gets you back in the side?
You guys are going about this all wrong. Sean and Miggy were Brilliant yesterday, there is no way we can keep holding them back. They deserve first team football somewhere else; but we can't let players of this quality go for nothing, that would be an insult to the player himself. Come on in let's talk 😉
Questions need to be asked if eddie does not want to split the squad up.its simply not good enough.either you strengthen or face the shit if it goes wrong
Miley , Tonali and Bruno is the midfield Eddie should employ. Miley offers the control and passing Joelinton doesn’t have. I’d play Miley and Sandro as a double 6 against Liverpool and Man City away and Arsenal in the second leg. Against the low block I'd play Miley or Sandro as a 6, and the other as a second 8 alongside Bruno. Barnes and Almiron should be gone. Joelinton should be Gordon's understudy and Sanussi should be Murphy's understudy.
Almiron and longstaff should’ve been peddled years ago, and that’s on the manager. Miley and Barnes the only quality from the bench. Chris’ comments on his were OTT - those goals don’t have get forgotten quickly. Lad is playing with zero confidence because that’s what the manager has instilled, the human clique factory that is howes gang, which has long included longstaff. I think you have to worship at the alter of Eddie to get the nod. But listen, he’s getting results, fair play. Yesterday an utter wake up, we need players, a RW and a GK, pronto, the opening goal a reminder of MD’s short comings, and pope is toast, never should’ve bought him
I'm with you, but for me the keeper situation is actually luxurious. England's number 3, Slovakia and Greece's number 1. If they are all happy, happy days. The major prob is to actually have another goal scorer who can play both on the right or for Isak without us dropping into nothingness. For me right now, if I had one signing, that would be the one who could take us over the CL line again. Defense is looking deep and very competent, midfield can be a bit of a problem, if we don't get injuries until this part of the pitch we are Gods. upfront...Gordon, Isak...you can say Barnes, but he is sapped out of confidence...so what else do we have? Murphy.....and Osula that not even Eddy trusts ultimately considering what the season has been. Attack= very easily generated potential problems.
Kelly wasn't great either....so far haven't seen him minimally dominant. Last resort option, bit basic on the ball, still lacking a lot of confidence. Maybe in the future but right now god forbid us from having him play under any circumstances, unless it is Bromley alright. And the longstaffers please...how much more do you need to see and what exactly are you expecting from there...
Time to move these 2 on asap neither miggy or mongstaff are anywhere near good enough to get in the first 11 and I don’t want them coming off the bench either while the club has moved forward those 2 have stood still time to go I like Barnes but if selling him gives us funds to buy better then bye bye Barnes

Agree with that one mate. I gave up drinking a couple of years ago and I miss the pub banter after games a lot.
@you can still visit a pub and not drink alcohol? adamcrawford1346
@@firestarter1888We’ve all got our reasons.
Completely a reality check. We owe Bromley a big thank you for giving stern enough opposition to reveal our shortcomings. What a blessing in disguise, thank you Andy Woodman.
Fair cop GeorgeM 👍👏
Absolutely spot on Chris😁
totally agree with everything you said, if we want to be competing for a top 4 spot every season we need to be able to field two first team squads
Spot on, Chris. Never stop being you.
Barnes is much better than he showed yesterday. Gonna give him the benefit of the doubt if he was feeling a muscle strain as reported but he really needs to sort his head out & get up to speed with how we play & what's expected of him if he wants to stay here.

Miley is a super star in the making as Hall is the future looks bright if you are a Toon fan
I think you are right, us playing at the highest level demands better from our 2nd string.
Don’t need to name names but the game was certainly confirming that there is quite a gap between 1st team and replacements.

Longstaff and Miggy have had their day ,time to get rid

Really looking forward to seeing miley develope. We've got some player on our hands there. And he's still just a bairn
Miggy and longstaff were atrocious with the ball, and i think they would struggle to get in Bromleys team.
Totally agree, Miley was quality and looked desperate to play
Osula did work hard but wasnt supported by barnes or almeron was only when bruno and AG came on he got some service !
Yup, Isak would have struggled himself yesterday.
Miley was excellent yesterday Paul . Osulas goal was excellent and it looks like he’s filled out a bit
Miggy and Matty looked along way off the pace, and Barnes seemed a little jaded. Bromley played there part well, a spirited performance .
Longstaff is a human brake pedal. He's never seen an attack he couldn't kill with a needless backwards pass.
Spot on chris.
There is a big gap between the 1st XI & the reserves, like every team. They havnt had many/any minutes recently, so to be expected perhaps.
We know most below first team level cannot rise to the challenge and a reason why Mitchell is beavering away upgrading our academy player quality.

'Wilson coming back', its funny now😂😂😂 nobody cares anymore
The more i see of barnes the less impressed i am. A bit of a one trick pony
sell longy and miggy they are useless unlike osula and miley who have great talent
Questions need to be asked if eddie does not want to split the squad up.its simply not good enough.either you strengthen or face the shit if it goes wrong
i think its more he doesnt want to split it up till we have people that can replace players leaving.
Longy looked lazy and was a country mile away from the performance miley put in
Disagree with NO words Chris 👍👏
Its 100% Longstaff and Almiron was sold.
They couldn't even perform against plumber's and joiners just eat drivers.
Miley , Tonali and Bruno is the midfield Eddie should employ. Miley offers the control and passing Joelinton doesn’t have. I’d play Miley and Sandro as a double 6 against Liverpool and Man City away and Arsenal in the second leg.
