    I appreciate you doing these videos. They’re very detailed and you do get in the weeds. I feel like a lot of people giving reining advice don’t address the small things that make sense the maneuver come together, maybe wanting to avoid overwhelming the viewer, your format addresses this point and makes it easy to follow and see the small things that make or break a proper maneuver.

    I would love to have one of your horses that doesn’t make the cut for high level competition. I’m sure they are super broke. It’s only a pipe dream, as I already have a horse and I live in Pennsylvania.
    Years ago someone I know bought a reining horse that didn’t make the cut for competition and I had a chance to ride her a few times. She was young and had a bit of spunk but man was she fun to ride….and had an awesome canter.

      Hi Joyce, It doesn't have to be a pipe dream. One day, it could become a reality. People from all over have purchased my horses and had them transported to their house.

    Hi Larry. Great tips! Thanks you. Would you do this the same way if you were riding him in a bosal?

    Hi Larry, love your videos! I've watched this one several times and go practice but wasnt until the other day my horse really started to get the cross over down. I was missing setting the bit solid. I would like to know how many days of practice and I'm sure it depends on the horse too but would you say it takes to get a horse moving smoothly in a spin, where it feels more natural for them?

      @ltrocha  2 года назад +2

      Hi John, Like you said, it can vary from horse to horse. Some of the fast learning horses can get it in a few weeks. Others can take months. Good luck.

    Thank you for this video. I have one question, will this exercise work with a leverage bit? Or should we go back to the snaffle D-ring bit? Does it matter which bit? Horse is 5.

    • @ltrocha
      @ltrocha  2 года назад +3

      Yes, it'll work with a curb bit. The main thing is the horse must give to pressure.

  • @KG_BarrelRacingg
    @KG_BarrelRacingg 2 года назад +1

    Do you have to use a bit, or does this work in a hackamore? I just prefer a hackamore, but I can use a bit if that's better.

    • @ltrocha
      @ltrocha  2 года назад +2

      Either one if they are used correctly
