100%....I agree with you totally. Eddie has been very influential in my own playing. I consider my style of playing as a Fusionist .....A blend, a sound of inclusion, a path, a way..Proof, . Spiritually/Musically..These different styles can and do exist very happily together. Not just thrown together, but understanding commonalities, truth, differences, meters, rules, about the genres, leads one to arranging. A great blend..Try and live together, for a great world!!
